20 Signs That The United States Is Rapidly Becoming A Totalitarian Big Brother Police State
April 27, 2010
Once upon a time, the United States was a land of unparalleled freedom. The rest of the world envied the freedom that ordinary Americans had to think, say and do what they wanted. But all of that has changed. Now Americans have to fear that they will be tackled by a squad of security goons and dragged off to a detention facility somewhere if they spill a Pepsi on a flight attendant or take a few too many pictures of a public building. The United States used to be the polar opposite of totalitarian regimes like Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union, but now America is rapidly becoming very much like them. Due to the fear of a boogeyman living in a cave somewhere or some guy with explosive powder in his underwear we are all being forced to give up our freedoms and learn to live in a Big Brother police state.
But have things really changed so much that we have to give up all of the cherished freedoms that our fathers and grandfathers fought and died for? Haven't there always been fanatics and crazies and criminals out there? Why do we suddenly have to become so afraid of them?
In the past, Americans would not let anyone make them live in fear.
If some unbalanced individual did something bad, it wasn't the end of
the world, was it? No, in the past Americans dusted themselves off and
continued to live as free men and women. You see, when we live in fear
and radically alter our way of life just to feel a little more
secure, we lose. We have let someone else steal our freedom and our
dignity.
But now in the name of "security" all kinds of bizarre proposals have been implemented on the local, state and national levels. Somehow we think that if everything that we do is watched, monitored and analyzed we will all be safer somehow.
Maybe we are safer and maybe we aren't, but we are certainly a whole lot less free.
The following are 20 signs that the United States is rapidly becoming a totalitarian "Big Brother" police state....
Blackmail: How The Controlling Elite Owns Politicians

Homosexual rumors surrounding Senator Lindsey Graham underscore the core reason why the vast majority of Congress members habitually support legislation that is anathema to the interests of the people they are supposed to represent, because politicians rarely achieve positions of influence without being beholden to one form of blackmail or another.
ALIPAC’s William Gheen provoked national headlines last week during a speech in front of thousands of Tea Party supporters when he publicly requested that Graham come out of the closet and admit that he is gay.
“William Gheen called on Senator Lindsey Graham to be honest with
American voters about his homosexual lifestyle to assure that Graham’s
desire to keep it a secret could no longer be potentially used by
political insiders to manipulate Graham’s behavior,” reports
Before It’s News. “There are many precedents in American politics
where affairs, corruption, addictions, and other situations that
politicians wanted concealed were used to manipulate them with unfair
advantage.” Read More>>>>>>>>>>
ABC: 'Mostly Peaceful' Immigration Protests vs. 'Very Ugly' Tea Party Rallies
April 27, 2010
On Saturday's Good Morning America, reporter Mike Von Fremd downplayed the violence of protesters against Arizona's new immigration law. He spun, "Riot police were called in to try and control demonstrators protesting outside the capital. Most were peaceful. A handful threw bottles at police and were arrested." Yet, ABC derided March's Tea Party rallies as "very ugly," despite the fact that there were no arrests.
In contrast, on March 20, World News host David Muir scolded, "Protesters against the [health care] plan gathered on the streets of the capital where late today we learned words shouted turned very ugly, reports of racial and homophobic slurs, one protester actually spitting on a Congressman." Continuing to fret over those opposed the bill, he complained, "Late word from Washington tonight about just how ugly the crowds gathered outside the Longworth office building have become."
More American Expatriates Give Up Citizenship
April 26, 2010
WASHINGTON — Amid mounting frustration over taxation and banking problems, small but growing numbers of overseas Americans are taking the weighty step of renouncing their citizenship.
“What we have seen is a substantial change in mentality among the overseas community in the past two years,” said Jackie Bugnion, director of American Citizens Abroad, an advocacy group based in Geneva. “Before, no one would dare mention to other Americans that they were even thinking of renouncing their U.S. nationality. Now, it is an openly discussed issue.”
The Federal Register, the government publication that records such decisions, shows that 502 expatriates gave up their U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status in the last quarter of 2009. That is a tiny portion of the 5.2 million Americans estimated by the State Department to be living abroad.
Still, 502 was the largest quarterly figure in years, more than twice the total for all of 2008, and it looms larger, given how agonizing the decision can be. There were 235 renunciations in 2008 and 743 last year. Waiting periods to meet with consular officers to formalize renunciations have grown.
Anecdotally, frustrations over tax and banking questions, not political considerations, appear to be the main drivers of the surge. Expat advocates say that as it becomes more difficult for Americans to live and work abroad, it will become harder for American companies to compete.
American expats have long complained that the United States is the only industrialized country to tax citizens on income earned abroad, even when they are taxed in their country of residence, though they are allowed to exclude their first $91,400 in foreign-earned income.
One Swiss-based business executive, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of sensitive family issues, said she weighed the decision for 10 years. She had lived abroad for years but had pleasant memories of service in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Yet the notion of double taxation — and of future tax obligations for her children, who will receive few U.S. services — finally pushed her to renounce, she said.
“I loved my time in the Marines, and the U.S. is still a great country,” she said. “But having lived here 20 years and having to pay and file while seeing other countries’ nationals not having to do that, I just think it’s grossly unfair.”
“It’s taxation without representation,” she added.
Stringent new banking regulations — aimed both at curbing tax evasion and, under the Patriot Act, preventing money from flowing to terrorist groups — have inadvertently made it harder for some expats to keep bank accounts in the United States and in some cases abroad.
Some U.S.-based banks have closed expats’ accounts because of difficulty in certifying that the holders still maintain U.S. addresses, as required by a Patriot Act provision.
“It seems the new anti-terrorist rules are having unintended effects,” Daniel Flynn, who lives in Belgium, wrote in a letter quoted by the Americans Abroad Caucus in the U.S. Congress in correspondence with the Treasury Department.
“I was born in San Francisco in 1939, served my country as an army officer from 1961 to 1963, have been paying U.S. income taxes for 57 years, since 1952, have continually maintained federal voting residence, and hold a valid American passport.”
Mr. Flynn had held an account with a U.S. bank for 44 years. Still, he wrote, “they said that the new anti-terrorism rules required them to close our account because of our address outside the U.S.”
Kathleen Rittenhouse, who lives in Canada, wrote that until she encountered a similar problem, “I did not know that the Patriot Act placed me in the same category as terrorists, arms dealers and money launderers.”
Andy Sundberg, another director of American Citizens Abroad, said, “These banks are closing our accounts as acts of prudent self-defense.” But the result, he said, is that expats have become “toxic citizens.”
The Americans Abroad Caucus, headed by Representative Carolyn B. Maloney, Democrat of New York, and Representative Joe Wilson, Republican of South Carolina, has made repeated entreaties to the Treasury Department.
In response, Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner wrote Ms. Maloney on Feb. 24 that “nothing in U.S. financial law and regulation should make it impossible for Americans living abroad to access financial services here in the United States.”
But banks, Treasury officials note, are free to ignore that advice.
“That Americans living overseas are being denied banking services in U.S. banks, and increasingly in foreign banks, is unacceptable,” Ms. Maloney said in a letter Friday to leaders of the House Financial Services Committee, requesting a hearing on the question.
Mr. Wilson, joining her request, said that pleas from expats for relief “continue to come in at a startling rate.”
Relinquishing citizenship is relatively simple. The person must appear before a U.S. consular or diplomatic official in a foreign country and sign a renunciation oath. This does not allow a person to escape old tax bills or military obligations.
Now, expats’ representatives fear renunciations will become more common.

What is devastating the world's honeybees?
In what appears to be a honeybee mystery of Armageddon proportions that has baffled scientists and beekeepers, more than one-third of the nation's bee population is mysteriously disappearing – and researchers warn the unexplained phenomenon threatens one-third of the American diet.
Entire colonies of honeybees are abandoning hives and food stores, including honey and pollen. In collapsed colonies, adult bees mysteriously disappear, and there is no accumulation of dead bees. Even hive pests such as wax moths and hive beetles are nowhere to be found around affected colonies. Likewise, other honeybees are reluctant or unwilling to rob the abandoned hives of honey.
Only days before a honeybee colony collapses, according to Bee Culture Magazine, the colony appears to be strong and fully functional.
Then, it explains, the affliction travels like a wave through a beeyard.
Have you been brainwashed by the media? Get "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Science"
Researchers have termed the phenomenon Colony Collapse Disorder, a syndrome characterized by sudden disappearance of adult honeybees in a colony.
Why should Americans care?

Madhouse may be history at stadium
April 25, 2010
The History channel's Madhouse series might be history.
Bowman Gray Stadium's season opener is less than a week away and Gray Garrison, the promoter for racing at the stadium, said that he still hasn't heard if there are plans for a second season.
The first season of Madhouse, a "reality" show that followed a few of the stadium's Modified drivers and teams through the 2009 racing season, ended last Sunday. Given the fast-approaching start of a new racing season, and the fact that no arrangements have been made, Garrison is assuming the show won't be renewed.
"I have no idea," Garrison said. "The last we talked to them they
said they would try to notify us in the March timeframe and of course
that's come and gone. To my knowledge, right now, they are not coming
back. Last year, in terms of logistics, it took them two or three weeks
to get set up…. We're not anticipating them coming back at this point." MORE>>>>>
Another unsung Christian Hero
April 24, 2010
All too often in the course of studying history, great men and the great deeds they undertook are overlooked or forgotten. Perhaps they fall out of favor in history texts and they begin to fade from collective memory.
Author Eric Metaxas has helped bring back to life two such
great historical figures. In Amazing Grace: William Wilberforce and
the Heroic Campaign to End Slavery, Metaxas told the story of one
man's pivotal role in helping to change the world and help rid it of one
of history's great evils – slavery.
Metaxas has just published another biography, chronicling the life of a
man I'd never heard of until I was well into adulthood. Dietrich
Bonhoeffer was a German pastor and author who, like Wilberforce, became a
force for good, in his case working against the unfathomable evil of
Nazism. Many may be familiar with this famous quote from Bonhoeffer:
"Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. God will not hold us
guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act."
In Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy, Metaxas takes us
through Bonhoeffer's life from the time he was a child until his
execution for his role in a plot to assassinate Hitler. The details and
first-hand accounts paint a vivid picture of the man who would
eventually stare down the evil which had permeated German society,
including the church.
Metaxas
chronicles how quickly many German church leaders capitulated to the
Nazis. One of the first acts undertaken by the government of the Third
Reich was called the "Restoration of the Civil Service." All government
employees had to be of "Aryan" stock. Those of Jewish descent would be
out of work. The German church was essentially a state church, thus a
decision had to be made as to whether to go along. There were, in fact,
pastors of Jewish heritage, including one of Bonhoeffer's friends.
Metaxas describes the German church as being in turmoil, divided on how
to respond to the new government. He writes: "There was at this time a
group that stood solidly behind Hitler's rise to power and blithely
tossed two millennia of Christian orthodoxy overboard." They called
themselves the "German Christians," and vigorously attacked those who
disagreed with them.
Bonhoeffer knew he had to respond. So in the spring of 1933, years
before the Jews would begin to suffer the horrors of the concentration
camps, Bonhoeffer spelled out his views in an essay called "The Church
and the Jewish Question." In it, Bonhoeffer said that the church "has
an unconditional obligation to the victims of any ordering of society,
even if they do not belong to the Christian community." To us, those
words may not sound especially radical. But in the context of the
times, they were revolutionary. It was clear that Bonhoeffer was
talking about the Jews. But Bonhoeffer didn't stop there. He went on
to say that, in Metaxas's words, "It is sometimes not enough to help
those crushed by the evil actions of a state; at some point the church
must directly take action against the state to stop it from perpetrating
evil."
Reeling from the shame and derision which followed Germany's defeat in
World War I, the "German Christians" were caught up in the fever of
nationalism which swept the country. They twisted Christian theology
into something unrecognizable as Christian. As Metaxas writes:
"For many Germans, their national identity had become so melted together with whatever Lutheran Christian faith they had that it was impossible to see either clearly. After four-hundred years of taking for granted that all Germans were Lutheran Christians, no one really knew what Christianity was anymore."
Hitler himself sensed and
preyed on this weakness. He is quoted as having remarked about
Protestant pastors, "You can do anything you want with them. They will
submit...they are insignificant little people, submissive as dogs, and
they sweat with embarrassment when you talk to them."
Bonhoeffer did not submit. Eventually conscience drove him to work with
members of the German resistance in a plan to assassinate Hitler. He
was arrested and imprisoned for two years, and finally executed at
Flossenburg concentration camp on Hitler's personal order. It would be
only three weeks later that Hitler committed suicide, leading to
Germany's surrender.
Many years after Dietrich Bonhoeffer's execution, the camp doctor who
witnessed it gave this account of his final moments:
"Through the half-open door in one room of the huts I saw Pastor Bonhoeffer, before taking off his prison garb, kneeling on the floor praying fervently to his God. I was most deeply moved by the way this lovable man prayed, so devout and so certain that God heard his prayer. At the place of execution, he again said a short prayer and then climbed the steps to the gallows, brave and composed. His death ensued after a few seconds. In the almost fifty years that I worked as a doctor, I have hardly ever seen a man die so entirely submissive to the will of God."

Feds invade farm for 5 a.m. inspection

Federal agents invaded an Amish farm in Pennsylvania at 5 a.m. to inspect cow-milking facilities then followed up the next day with a written notice that the farmer was engaged in interstate sale of raw milk in violation of the Public Health Services Act.

A failure to correct the situation could result in "seizure and/or injunction," the warning letter from Kirk Sooter, district director of the Philadelphia office of the Department of Health and Human Services, told farmer Dan Allgyer of Kinzer, Pa., on Wednesday.
The farm invaded Tuesday is the one agents visited in February, driving past "Private Property" signs to demand Allgyer open his property for their inspection, saying, " You have cows. You produce food for human consumption."
The case is being publicized by the National Independent Consumers and Farmers Association, which promotes traditional methods of linking farmers with consumers.
Spokeswoman Deborah Stockton told WND Allgyer "is the type of farmer who exemplifies what we are trying to restore." On her organization's website is the commitment "to promote and preserve unregulated direct farmer-to-consumer trade that fosters availability of locally grown or home-produced food products."
She reported she got details directly from Allgyer of Tuesday's early morning inspection, which highlights the growing conflict between farmers who want to provide health food locally and federal regulators.
Allgyer could not be reached immediately for comment.
The farmer told NICFA he came out of his house about 4:30 a.m. for his milking routine and noticed a lot of traffic on Kinzer Road.

'Godless' Dems have 'death grip' on blacks
April 23, 2010
A new political action committee (PAC) has been formed to run conservative black candidates against liberal black members of Congress.
Bishop
E.W. Jackson, Sr., has set up the Stand America PAC to
challenge members of the Congressional
Black Caucus. Jackson tells OneNewsNow that that contingent of
lawmakers does not represent black Americans.
"They are pro-abortion, they are pro-homosexuality, they are pro-gay
marriage -- and the black community doesn't agree with any of these
things...and it is time [those lawmakers] were challenged," he vows.
"[O]ur PAC is going to challenge them, recruit candidates, and
ultimately see to it that they are defeated, and that the black
community has an alternative leadership to look to."
According to Jackson, members of the Congressional Black Caucus have
insulted the black community by "conflating the black struggle for civil
rights with the demands of radical homosexuals for marriage and other
rights." That, he says, is "one of the most preposterous frauds ever
perpetrated on a people."
Consequently,
the bishop says he is "declaring war" on the Democratic Party and
expects his PAC's candidates will be running as Republicans or
Independents.
"The Democrat Party [sic] has become a coalition of the
godless, and it has a death grip and it is a curse on the black
community -- and it is about time that that death grip was broken and
that curse was broken," says the Harvard Law School graduate.
The PAC is currently in the process of raising funds and selecting
candidates to endorse in congressional races, but is looking forward to
expanding into state and local races in the future.

Judge sides with activist in raw milk dispute

A judge is moving to the appellate level a case brought against a Wisconsin man by government officials demanding he provide names of friends who may buy or sell raw milk.
The threat against raw milk activist Max Kane had been the possibility of being ruled in contempt of court for his refusal to provide the information to authorities, according to a report from an advocacy organization.
The dispute over the sale of raw milk by farmers directly to consumers has erupted in several locations in recent months in the United States and Canada. Proponents argue raw milk is healthier, and since it usually is a direct producer-to-consumer transaction the government has no interest in those deals.
Governments argue they do.
Now, according to a report from the Weston A Price Foundation,
which advocates for raw-milk farmers and consumers, Judge Michael
Rosenborough denied a motion by the state of Wisconsin to compel Kane to
reveal the names of farmers and consumers he believes could be
producing or purchasing raw milk.
The report said Kane has lived since December under a court order to deliver the names to the state's Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. A month ago, Kane, helped by attorney Elizabeth Rich, requested a stay of the order in the Vernon County Court in Viroqua, Wis., to take the case to appeal.
The judge now has agreed.

Now we know the truth. The financial meltdown wasn't a mistake – it was a con
April 19, 2010
The global financial crisis, it is now clear, was caused not just by the
bankers' colossal mismanagement. No, it was due also to the new
financial complexity offering up the opportunity for widespread,
systemic fraud. Friday's announcement that the world's most famous
investment bank, Goldman Sachs, is to face civil
charges for fraud brought by the American regulator is but the latest of
a series of investigations that have been launched, arrests made and
charges made against financial institutions around the world. Big
Finance in the 21st century turns out to have been Big Fraud. Yet
Britain, centre of the world financial system, has not yet levelled
charges against any bank; all that we've seen is the allegation of a
high-level insider dealing ring which, embarrassingly, involves a banker
advising the government. We have to live with the fiction that our
banks and bankers are whiter than white, and any attempt to investigate
them and their institutions will lead to a mass exodus to the mountains
of Switzerland. The politicians of the Labour and Tory party alike are

A Kenyan lawmaker told the nation's parliament last month that Barack Obama was born in Africa and is therefore "not even a native American."
During debate over the draft of a new Kenyan constitution, James Orengo, the country's minister of lands and a member of parliament for the Ugenya constituency, cited America's election of a Kenyan-born president as an example of what can be accomplished when diverse peoples unite:
"If America was living in a situation where they feared ethnicity and did not see itself as a multiparty state or nation," Orengo posited, "how could a young man born here in Kenya, who is not even a native American, become the president of America?"
Orengo held up the U.S. as a country no longer "living in the
past," since Americans elected a Kenyan-born president without regard to
"ethnic consideration and objectives." more>>>>>>>>>>

Real Evolution Vs. Evolutionary Myth
April 08, 2010
by Babu G. Ranganathan
We all carry in our bodies
expressed and unexpressed genes. For example, a husband and wife couple
who both have black hair produce a child with blond hair. Would you call
that evolution? Where did the blond hair come from? Obviously, the
couple with black hair also were carrying genes for blond hair. The
genes for blond hair did not evolve. The genes for blond hair already
existed in the couple. However, the genes for blond hair were not
expressed in the couple carrying them. Only the genes for black hair
were expressed in the couple. Eventually, the genes for blond hair would
be expressed in a child they brought into the world.
Evolution just doesn't happen. Something has to
direct the formation and transformation of biological matter for
evolution to occur. That something is what we call genes. Genes are
located on the DNA molecule (the genetic code). DNA is the abbreviated
name for the genetic code and it is exactly that - a code. It is a
molecular string of chemical information.
