Killing Kennedy: Oswald and the Monkey Virus
June 15, 2012
Dr Mary Sherman
Lee Harvey Oswald was not the assassin of President Kennedy. That is the only firm conclusion one can draw from analyzing the Kennedy assassination’s body of evidence. From that material, one can derive preliminary conclusions and suggestions, which often cannot be proven as the authorities were never interested in pursuing these strands of the investigation as they were only interested in tying Oswald to the crime.
The Warren Commission’s focus was too narrow, while other researchers have cast the net too wide. But when we widen the scope of the investigation wide enough, it becomes clear that those involved in the assassination were also involved in other projects that have scarcely seen the light of day, projects which are often highly illegal or secret.
Dozens of deaths have been marked as potentially connected with the Kennedy assassination, often involving eyewitnesses or potential conspirators who died “mysteriously” . Few seem to be more intriguing than that of Mary Sherman. Interestingly, Sherman was murdered and her death is listed as an “unsolved murder” to this very day.
Dr. Mary Sherman was found dead in the early morning of July 21, 1964, eight months after the assassination. Her body had been partially burned, her entire right arm missing, though this detail was sometimes left out of the news reports following her death. Though part of her body was burnt, this was largely the right side only and nothing else in the house was burnt. There was no sign of forced entry in her home – the alarm system was off – suggesting that her murderer was known to her. She was stabbed multiple times, including the heart, which killed her.
Skeptics like Gerard Posner have argued that this “unsolved murder” is of no relevance to the Kennedy assassination, but Edward T. Haslam believes otherwise. A native of New Orleans, Haslam has published “Dr. Mary’s Monkey”, in which he outlines the case that Sherman’s murder may have been a pivotal part of why the Kennedy assassination was never properly investigated, as this might expose Oswald’s role in a nefarious secret experiment that the US government desperately tried to keep away from the general public. Taxes in America
June 12, 2012
By Bob Barney
Here is my promised treatise on the way taxes ought to be raised by the federal, state and local governments. My ideas will shock many, and even more will think that they don't work, but ironically most of these ideas DID work in the past. Read my ideas and think about them... Please post your ideas.
A short history of taxes:
Egyptian Pharaohs, like modern leaders had tax collectors known as scribes. In the course of time, the scribes imposed a tax on cooking oil. To ensure that citizens were paying the cooking oil tax scribes would audit homes to ensure that proper quantities of cooking oil were consumed and that people were not using yeast and other leavenings generated by other cooking processes as a substitute for the taxed oil.
The earliest taxes in Rome were customs' duties on imports and exports. Caesar Augustus was considered by scholars to be the most clever tax strategist of the Roman Empire. During his reign, the earlier taxes were virtually eliminated. Augustus instead made the cities that were given the responsibility for collecting taxes. Augustus established an inheritance tax to provide retirement funds for the military. The tax was 5 percent on all inheritances except gifts to children and spouses. The English and Dutch referred to the inheritance tax of Augustus in developing their own inheritance taxes. During Julius Caesar's reign, a 1 percent sales tax was imposed. During the time of Caesar Augustus, the sales tax was 4 percent for slaves and 1 percent for everything else.
God had a simpler tax plan based on income. Everyone was ordered to pay a “tithe” or 10% of the increase of their wealth, be it in animals or anything of value. For example, if you had 100 sheep one year and next year had 150, then your increase was 50 sheep, in which 5 of them were to be given to the Temple or the priests as your tax. That paid for all social welfare and religious expenses. Kings often levied taxes on goods and services, as well as tariffs on imports. A governments greatest wealth was probably from the plunder of their enemies more than taxing their own population which was never popular!
The first income tax suggested in the United States was during the War of 1812. The tax was based on the British Tax Act of 1798 and applied progressive rates to income. The rates were .08% on income above £60 and 10 percent on income above £200. The tax was developed in 1814 but was never imposed because the treaty of Ghent was signed in 1815 ending hostilities and the need for additional revenue.
Property taxes were a hand down from England. In 1796 seven of the fifteen states levied uniform capitation taxes. Twelve taxed some or all livestock. Land was taxed in a variety of ways, but only four states taxed the mass of property by valuation. No state constitution required that taxation be by value or required that rates on all kinds of property be uniform. In 1818, Illinois adopted the first uniformity clause. Missouri followed in 1820, and in 1834 Tennessee replaced a provision requiring that land be taxed at a uniform amount per acre with a provision that land be taxed according to its value (ad valorem). By the end of the century thirty-three states had included uniformity clauses in new constitutions or had amended old ones to include the requirement that all property be taxed equally by value. A number of other states enacted uniformity statutes requiring that all property be taxed. Table 1 summarizes this history.

My Take:
God has the best tax plan in His coming theocracy, namely an income tax based on increased wealth. A flat income tax. Out of that, all monies are raised. Every several years a second “tithe” is also to be levied. I'll leave this for a later time. The United States is not a theocracy. We are a democratic republic, a fact most overlook or don't know. My ideas have some, but not mainly early American thought behind it. I believe that what you own is yours, and thus, except for God, can not be taxed by any secular government. After all, if you own it, then the government has no right to tax it! They can only tax the things you use that THEY own. And they own plenty. In fact, they own far more than any company or person could ever wish for.
Local and state governments:
Towns and cities should arrive their taxes as use taxes. They own the roads. Whatever they spend each year on roads should be levied equally among the townspeople. Any state roads, would be under the state control and they levee taxes either by tolls or an equally shared state road tax. In modern America, the simplest way to do both town and state tax would to have a gasoline (fuel) tax were all the monies needed are collected. The Federal government COULD NOT collect a gasoline tax. The tax rate would vary from year to year. Schools again can raise their tax money in 2 ways. Each student pay a tuition, and again a local and statewide tax school tax based on retail purchases (a sales tax). This state sales tax could fund everything that a state needed. Again the rate would vary from year to year. Income taxes would be abolished at the local, state and federal level.
The Federal Govt:
The USA should raise all the money that they need to operate on usage taxes, tariffs and fees collected from the states for the armed forces and national defense. All Federal highways should be taxed by the mile and by the axle. This could be done in 2 ways, decided by Congress. A national sales tax on gasoline (which I would not favor) or tolls on the highways using GPS data, or for those who want to protect their privacy, a yearly highway use tax at the maximum rate per vehicle. This means, if you don't want to itemize you mileage, the government will charge a very high flat fee to use their highways without proving your mileage. This would be similar to the standard, versus itemized deduction. The federal government should spend no money on welfare, schools or anything in which the states have the obligation to provide.
More money could be collected from tolls for using parks, public lands, public oil leases, the waterways and seaports. China would be paying a port tax on every ship they send over here.
I know there are flaws, and much more investigation is needed, but if we are to stay as the #1 powerhouse in the world, we have to reevaluate taxation, welfare, social security and medical coverage. If most taxes were abolished, the wealth of individuals in this country would go through the roof.

Kinsey’s Secret: The Phony Science of the Sexual Revolution
June 11, 2012
It’s now more than 50 years since the revolution began. Sexual “liberation” has been endlessly ballyhooed by the national media, promoted in the movies, embraced by Playboy guys and Cosmo girls as a freedom more delicious than Eden’s apple. No American under 40 can honestly remember a time when sex on TV was taboo, when “living together” meant married, when “gay” meant happy, and when almost every child lived with both parents.
If truth be told, the revolution has been a disaster. Before the push to loosen America’s sexual mores really got under way in the 1950s, the only widely reported sexually transmitted diseases in the United States were gonorrhea and syphilis. Today we have more than two dozen varieties, from pelvic inflammatory disease (which renders more than 100,000 American women infertile each year) to AIDS (which presently infects 42 million people worldwide and has already killed another 23 million). According to a report by scientists at the National Cancer Institute, a woman who has three or more sex partners in her lifetime increases her risk of cervical cancer by as much as 1,500 percent. In another finding that runs contrary to all that the sex researchers preached, a survey at the University of Chicago’s National Opinion Research Center showed that married men and women, on average, are sexually happier than unwed couples merely living together. And even if live-in couples do marry, they’re 40 to 85 percent more likely to divorce than those who go straight to the altar.
So what happened? Was science simply wrong? Well, not exactly — the truth is more complicated than that.
Darwinian Indoctrination Still Not Working for Most Americans
June 09, 2012
Almost half the American public still believes God created man recently, despite decades of indoctrination by education and the media. Another third believe God guided human evolution.
Gallup issued its latest poll in a series begun in 1982, asking the question, “How do you believe people came into existence?” The choices are, (1) Humans evolved over millions of years without God; (2) God created humans sometime in the last 10,000 years, and (3), Humans evolved, but God guided the process.
The report from Gallup said,
Forty-six percent of Americans believe in the creationist view that God created humans in their present form at one time within the last 10,000 years. The prevalence of this creationist view of the origin of humans is essentially unchanged from 30 years ago, when Gallup first asked the question. About a third of Americans believe that humans evolved, but with God’s guidance; 15% say humans evolved, but that God had no part in the process.
Live Science tried to emphasize that the less educated, the church-going, and Republicans were more likely to accept the creationist account, but did admit that “this belief was also the most prevalent among Independents and Democrats compared with other beliefs held by the two groups.” It should be noted that “theistic evolution” is not Darwinian. Believing that “God guided the process” strikes at the heart of the contingent, unguided process Darwin had in mind.
The Gallup report itself, under “Implications,” said, “Despite the many changes that have taken place in American society and culture over the past 30 years, including new discoveries in biological and social science, there has been virtually no sustained change in Americans’ views of the origin of the human species since 1982.”

One U.S. soldier commits suicide EVERY DAY
June 08, 2012
Suicides are surging among America's troops, averaging nearly one a day this year - the fastest pace in the nation's decade of war.
The 154 suicides for active-duty troops in the first 155 days of the year far outdistance the U.S. forces killed in action in Afghanistan - about 50 per cent more - according to Pentagon statistics obtained by The Associated Press.
The numbers reflect a military burdened with wartime demands from Iraq and Afghanistan that have taken a greater toll than foreseen a decade ago. The military also is struggling with increased sexual assaults, alcohol abuse, domestic violence and other misbehavior.
Tough times: Suicides are surging among America's troops, averaging nearly one a day this year - the fastest pace in the nation's decade of war (file photo)
Because suicides had leveled off in 2010 and 2011, this year's upswing has caught some officials by surprise.
The reasons for the increase are not fully understood. Among explanations, studies have pointed to combat exposure, post-traumatic stress, misuse of prescription medications and personal financial problems.
Army data suggest soldiers with multiple combat tours are at greater risk of committing suicide, although a substantial proportion of Army suicides are committed by soldiers who never deployed.
Margaret Thatcher knew the single currency would devastate Europe
June 08, 2012

Next week it will be 20 years since Margaret Thatcher fell. Pressure had been building on a number of fronts, but the issue which finally destroyed her was the yet-to-be-born euro. In the last weekend of October 1990, she travelled to a European summit in Rome, where Jacques Delors’ dream of European Monetary Union was high on the agenda. But while Mrs Thatcher was fighting her lone battle against the prospective single currency abroad, she was being fatally undermined at home. Geoffrey Howe, her bitterest cabinet critic, went on television to tell the interviewer Brian Walden that in principle Britain did not oppose the euro.

What the Media Choose Not to Know about Trayvon
June 07, 2012
Unnerved by an unspoken mix of political bias and racial queasiness, the major media have chosen to know as little about Trayvon Martin as they know about Barack Obama.
As a case in point, consider this boy vs. man fable spun by the New York Times' Charles Blow:
A boy's blood had been spilled on a rain-soaked patch of grass behind a row of mustard-colored condominiums by a man who had pursued him against the advice of 911 dispatchers. That man carried a 9-millimeter handgun. The boy carried a bag of candy.
Blow was writing seven weeks after Trayvon's death. He had no excuse for missing the actual story. Worse, since he is a writer for the Times, his reporting has helped set the media tone worldwide
The media's willful ignorance was on display again this past week. In reporting this news of George Zimmerman's return to jail, more than a few media outlets showed the dangerously deceptive image of Trayvon as 11-year-old cherub. They did so in the assumption that the narrative was still theirs to control. It is not. The blogs, which have been doing the real detective work on this case, have long since taken control away from them.
The sites I have found must useful are the Daily Caller and conservativetreehouse.com. What follows is largely culled from those sites and their independent contributors. By probing Trayon's background and parsing his social media chatter, they have put together a picture of a disturbed young man that begins to makes sense of the events that unfolded on that fateful rainy night of February 26.
6:21
Trayvon Martin is seen on the security video through the 7-11 window approaching the store from the direction of the Retreat at Twin Lakes. He had been staying there at the townhouse of his father's girlfriend, Brandy Green. In major media accounts, the helpful Trayvon ventured out in the rain in a mile-plus round trip to buy Brandy's 14-year-old son, Chad, some Skittles and Arizona Iced Tea. Not likely.

Did the Prophet Muhammad Really Exist? This Is Robert Spencer’s Shocking Answer
June 06, 2012
Did the Prophet Muhammad really exist? This question, which may seem bizarre on the surface, is at the root of a new book by Robert Spencer, a prominent author and the director of Jihad Watch. Spencer, a figure who is praised by his fans and loathed by his detractors, has written numerous books on Islam.
Earlier this week, The Blaze spoke with the expert about his controversial, new book, “Did Muhammad Exist?” As can be derived from the title, the text delves into some uncomfortable subject matter, as Spencer examines the historical documentation surrounding the Muslim prophet.
The book’s official description perfectly encapsulates its central tenets:
Did Muhammad exist?
It is a question that few have thought—or dared—to ask. Virtually everyone, Muslim and non-Muslim alike, takes for granted that the prophet of Islam lived and led in seventh-century Arabia. But this widely accepted story begins to crumble on close examination, as Robert Spencer shows in his eye-opening new book.
In his blockbuster bestseller The Truth about Muhammad, Spencer revealed the shocking contents of the earliest Islamic biographical material about the prophet of Islam.
Now, in Did Muhammad Exist?, he uncovers that material’s surprisingly shaky historical foundations. Spencer meticulously examines historical records, archaeological findings, and pioneering new scholarship to reconstruct what we can know about Muhammad, the Qur’an, and the early days of Islam. The evidence he presents challenges the most fundamental assumptions about Islam’s origins.
The premise of the book is that Islam — like Judaism and Christianity –deserves to be scrutinized and appropriately examined. Spencer maintains that Islam, unlike the other massive faith systems, has never truly been given the academic attention and examination it deserves. Like Christianity, he maintains that the faith is one that “deserve[s] historical scrutiny.”

Should Photojournalist Have Intervened Sooner to Save the Life of a Dying Snake-Handling Pastor?
June 04, 2012
Pastor Pastor Mack Wolford (Image Credit: Washington Post)
Last weekend, Pastor Mack Wolford, a snake-handling preacher from West Virginia, died after allegedly ingesting poison (strychnine) and suffering a bite from a yellow timber rattlesnake he had owned and handled for years. The Blaze already brought you the troubling tale, but what we haven’t yet explored is the responsibility — or lack thereof — on the part of those individuals who watched the pastor suffer for hours before he finally allowed emergency services to be notified.
(Related: Snake-Handling Pastor Dies After Fatal Bite)
Washington Post photojournalist Lauren Pond was among those who observed Wolford as he lay dying (her images from the experience are here). She was spending time with the pastor and his congregants in an effort to capture his latest, snake-handling service last weekend when she very quickly and unexpectedly found herself in a bizarre and troubling situation. Her dilemma? Pond had to choose between remaining a bystander to Wolford’s suffering, or jumping in and going against the pastor’s wishes to call paramedics.
Israel fitting nuclear arms on German-supplied subs: report
June 04, 2012
Israel is arming submarines supplied and largely financed by Germany with nuclear-tipped cruise missiles, influential German news weekly Der Spiegel reports in its issue to be published on Monday.
The magazine said in a cover story that Berlin had until now denied any knowledge that German submarines were being used as part of an Israeli atomic arsenal.
But former high-ranking officials of the German defence ministry told Der Spiegel that the government always assumed Israel was putting nuclear warheads on the Dolphin-class vessels.
The article, based on a months-long probe, cited files from the foreign ministry in Berlin indicating the West German state was aware of the practice as early as 1961.
In Israel, foreign ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said only: "I can confirm that we have German submarines. It's no secret. More>>>>>>>>
The Quran and the Flood
June 04, 2012
The Quran’s depictions of the great Flood of Noah’s day contain oddities that cause one who is familiar with the Bible to question the Quran’s reliability. For example, in Surah 11:36-40 the Quran describes Noah’s conflict with his contemporaries and, in the process, makes a puzzling remark pertaining to the condition of the Flood waters:
And it was inspired in Noah, (saying): No one of thy folk will believe save him who hath believed already. Be not distressed because of what they do. Build the ship under Our Eyes and by Our inspiration, and speak not unto Me on behalf of those who do wrong. Lo! they will be drowned. And he was building the ship, and every time that chieftains of his people passed him, they made mock of him. He said: Though ye make mock of us, yet we mock at you even as ye mock; And ye shall know to whom a punishment that will confound him cometh, and upon whom a lasting doom will fall. (Thus it was) till, when Our commandment came to pass and the oven gushed forth water (Surah 11:36-40, emp. added).
This peculiar allusion to the waters of the Flood coming from an oven is repeated in Surah 23:
And We verily sent Noah unto his folk, and he said: O my people! Serve Allah. Ye have no other god save Him. Will ye not ward off (evil)? But the chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved, said: This is only a mortal like you who would make himself superior to you. Had Allah willed, He surely could have sent down angels. We heard not of this in the case of our fathers of old. He is only a man in whom is a madness, so watch him for a while. He said: My Lord! Help me because they deny me. Then We inspired in him, saying: Make the ship under Our eyes and Our inspiration. Then, when Our command cometh and the oven gusheth water, introduce therein of every (kind) two spouses, and thy household save him thereof against whom the Word hath already gone forth. And plead not with Me on behalf of those who have done wrong. Lo! they will be drowned. And when thou art on board the ship, thou and who so is with thee, then say: Praise be to Allah Who hath saved us from the wrongdoing folk! (Surah 23:23-28, emp. added)….

Anti-Freckle Cream and Radio Signals? Researchers Make Major Amelia Earhart Discoveries on Remote Island
June 03, 2012
“What really happened to Amelia Earhart?” has become an iconic question since the woman’s fateful disappearance in 1937, during her record attempt to fly around the world at the equator.
Some have theorized that she was really a spy, and defected before the war. Others suspect she crashed in the ocean, while still more hold out hope that she and her navigator Fred Noonan somehow managed to survive on a remote island.
2012 has revealed for enthusiasts a tentative storyline, before researchers begin the final push to search for her aircraft with high-tech underwater equipment next July.
The most recent developments are a seemingly appropriate juxtaposition of the woman herself– both beautiful, and intelligent.
On Wednesday, researchers from The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery (TIGHAR) released news that a jar of anti-freckle cream was recovered on an uninhabited island in the southwestern Pacific Republic of Kiribati and, according to one of the researchers, “It’s well documented Amelia had freckles and disliked having them.”
On top of that, Fox News is reporting that dozens of radio signals previously dismissed as hoaxes, may actually have been from Amelia and Noonan. More>>>>>>>>

Cousins named John
June 02, 2012
by Wayne Blank
Most people are aware that Jesus Christ and John the Baptist were actual cousins through their mothers Mary and Elizabeth. Many people are surprised to discover that Jesus had another famous cousin John. Although the proof is not as obvious and direct as with John the Baptist, the Scriptures are just as plain, when you add up the pieces, that Jesus and the apostle John were also cousins.
Cousin John, John the Baptist
The angel Gabriel stated that Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist, and Mary, the mother of Jesus, were cousins - and therefore Jesus and John were cousins. Whether Mary and Elizabeth were first cousins, or second cousins, or second cousins once removed ("once removed" is merely a genealogical term for a second, third, fourth etc. cousin who is in the generation up from one's own) is a range of possibilities with Mary and Elizabeth since Mary was a teenager and Elizabeth was in her "old age" when they had children (both Jesus' and John's conceptions were miraculous). Whatever way it was, the Holy Scriptures plainly state that Mary and Elizabeth were cousins, and therefore so were their children Jesus and John the Baptist:
"Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?""And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible." (Luke 1:34-37 KJV)
Cousin John, the apostle John
Jesus Christ and the apostle John as cousins is not as obvious (people who have studied the Bible their entire lives have overlooked it, which is understandable because of how the proof is in pieces - I only discovered it myself a few years ago, in one of those eureka! moments), but the proof is there nevertheless, in two parts, each of which themselves are in two parts. Add them together and it becomes very clear.
First, standing among the women near the cross with Jesus' mother Mary was Salome (as identified by the apostle Mark in his Gospel account), who was Mary's sister (as the apostle John himself states in his Gospel account, as it turns out, about his own mother - Mark's Gospel account refers to her by name, John's Gospel account refers to her by her relationship to Mary), and therefore Salome was Jesus' aunt:
"Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene." (John 19:25 KJV)"There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome" (Mark 15:40 KJV)
From the first part above we know that Salome was Mary's sister. Now, second, Salome is then also identified the wife of Zebedee, as John is identified as the son of Zebedee. The picture is then complete. Salome is identified as Mary's sister and John's mother - John was therefore Jesus' cousin.
"And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father" (Matthew 4:21 KJV)"Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's children [i.e. Salome, as identified in the first part, above]" (Matthew 27:56 KJV)

The Rest of the Story (Ben Hur) inspired by the late Paul Harvey
Bob Barney
Most folks my age knows the story of Ben Hur, maybe some of the younger readers out there have not read the book or watched the movie. I highly recommend it! This classic book written by a Civil War general, Lew Wallace, in 1899, was turned into a movie starring Charleton Heston, which won the Academy Award for best movie in 1959. It is a towering story of love, of suffering, of the struggle of good against evil, and finally of triumph. Judah Ben Hur, the story’s hero, grows up with his boyhood friend, Marsalla. Judah is a Jew, and Marsalla a Roman. Judah is the heir of a very great and wealthy house in Jerusalem. Marsalla is a promising military man who trained in Rome as a soldier, then returned to Jerusalem as the leader of the Roman occupation forces. Both are great friends, but fate intervenes and makes the two bitter enemies.
Judah Ben Hur is sent off to die in prison, but a kind man gives him water to drink and that act of kindness leads to his will to survive and again fate has him saving the admiral of the Roman fleet and thus thrusting Judah back into fame and fortune.
The story of Ben Hur is riveting and all inspiring, but do you know the rest of the story about the WRITER of the novel? You see General Wallace, like myself started as an atheist! He began this book in an attempt to show the silliness of the Christian faith. I too started off my journey back in 1975 to disprove Garner Ted Armstrong and his logical and methodical belief in God - The God of the Bible! This story has a special meaning to me, because Mr. Wallace met a fate with destiny in his journey, as I did some 70 years later....... And the rest of the story ???????????????????

Isaiah 53 and Rabbinic Judaism
June 01, 2012
By Bob Barney
Today, most synagogues and Jewish rabbis do not read much from Isaiah 53. The reasoning for this will become obvious. It is not just the mainstream Christian Churches that have lied about what is in scripture; The Rabbinic Jewish traditions have done the same thing as the Catholic and Protestant churches. Most Jews are totally unaware that they are not following biblical Judaism. They think they are, because they have been kept in the dark, just as much as most Christians have been. There leaders have been lying to them. After the crucifixion of Jesus, and the beginning of early Christianity (which in my perspective is nothing more than the original Judaism and the church founded by Moses!) the Jewish leaders began to change their religion in an attempt to circumnavigate the spread of Christianity among the Jewish population. Biblical Judaism was replaced by Rabbinic Judaism. That's a nice way of saying that Moses' religion was replaced by that of the Pharisees! You know, the nice guys that killed Christ and every other person they disagreed with!
Rabbinic leaders of the second, third and fourth centuries (AD) began a program to cleanse the scripture of its Christian roots. Remember this rule----- JEWS CANNOT CHANGE SCRIPTURE! They cannot alter the Hebrew words of the Tanakh (our Old Testament), so they had to come up with alternate scripture! They call this scripture, the Talmud. From Wikipedia:
The Talmud (Hebrew: תַּלְמוּד talmūd "instruction, learning", from a root lmd "teach, study") is a central text of mainstream Judaism, in the form of a record of rabbinic discussions pertaining to Jewish law, ethics, philosophy, customs and history.
The Talmud has two components: the Mishnah (c. 200 CE), the first written compendium of Judaism's Oral Law; and the Gemara (c. 500 CE), a discussion of the Mishnah and related Tannaitic writings that often ventures onto other subjects and expounds broadly on the Tanakh.
The terms Talmud and Gemara are often used interchangeably. The Gemara is the basis for all codes of rabbinic law and is much quoted in other rabbinic literature. The whole Talmud is also traditionally referred to as Shas (ש"ס), a Hebrew abbreviation of shisha sedarim, the "six orders" of the Mishnah.
So modern day Judaism has done to the Jewish religion what the Catholics and Protestants have done to the Christian religion. In short, they have successfully altered the true meaning of scripture with man's traditions! (Matthew 15:3) The following is MY translation of Isaiah 53. Feel free to compare my translation to that of the KJV or the Tanakh. I think you will like mine better (easier to understand) yet not altered in anyway from the true meaning from God. Read this chapter with my notes and see why modern day Judaism has changed!
Isaiah 53 (My Version)
THE SUFFERING CHRIST:
1 Who has believed our message? To whom has the LORD(Yahweh; who is Jesus)'s power been revealed?
The answer to this is Christians. JOHN 12:38 Romans 10:16
Yahweh translated LORD is the personal name of the God who was speaking to Moses. In fact, Yahweh (Jesus) is the only member of the Godhead who has EVER spoken to a human! God, the Father has NEVER spoken to any man! No man has ever seen Him! Yahweh simply means means, “I AM who I AM” Compare Exodus 3:13-14) with John 8:57-59!
2 He grew up in his presence like a tender green shoot, sprouting from a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about His appearance, nothing to attract us to Him.
Jesus was ordinary looking! In fact, people could not pick him out in a crowd. Even though he taught everyday in the Temple, the High Priest needed Judas to point Jesus out to the soldiers! He was that ordinary looking!
3 He was despised and rejected. A man of sorrows, familiar with suffering. He was despised like one from whom people turn their faces, and we didn't consider Him to be worth anything.
Jews today, claim their Messiah would come as a king. However this scripture proves them wrong! Their messiah was to come in the same way Jesus did! Matthew 27:30 Hebrews 4:15 John 1:10
4 He certainly has taken upon himself our suffering and carried our sorrows, but we thought that the Godhead(Elohim/Theos) had wounded Him, beat Him, and punished Him.
The Jews believed him to be a sinner, beat him and killed him. Matthew 8:17 1 Peter 2:24
Elohim is the Uni-plural Hebrew word for God. The form implies more than one! If God were singular, the word would be the Hebrew Eloi (singular). This is why, in Genesis, God (Elohim) says “Let us make man in OUR own image, after OUR own likeness! God, in the Hebrew is plural. God didn’t say “Let ME make man,” instead God used OUR, or the plural form!
literally, "But yet He hath taken (or borne) our sicknesses," that is, they who despised Him because of His human infirmities ought rather to have esteemed Him on account of them; for thereby "Himself took OUR infirmities" (bodily diseases). So Matthew 8:17 quotes it. In the Hebrew for "borne," or took, there is probably the double notion, He took on Himself vicariously (so Isaiah 53:5 Isaiah 53:6 Isaiah 53:8 Isaiah 53:12 ), and so He took away; His perfect humanity whereby He was bodily afflicted for us, and in all our afflictions ( Isaiah 63:9 , Hebrews 4:15 ) was the ground on which He cured the sick; so that Matthew's quotation is not a mere accommodation. See Note 42 of ARCHBISHOP MAGEE, Atonement. The Hebrew there may mean to overwhelm with darkness; Messiah's time of darkness was temporary ( Matthew 27:45 ), answering to the bruising of His heel; Satan's is to be eternal, answering to the bruising of his head (compare Isaiah 50:10 ).
carried . . . sorrows--The notion of substitution strictly. "Carried," namely, as a burden. "Sorrows," that is, pains of the mind; as "griefs" refer to pains of the body ( Psalms 32:10 , 38:17 ). Matthew 8:17 might seem to oppose this: "And bare our sicknesses." But he uses "sicknesses" figuratively for sins, the cause of them. Christ took on Himself all man's "infirmities;" so as to remove them; the bodily by direct miracle, grounded on His participation in human infirmities; those of the soul by His vicarious suffering, which did away with the source of both. Sin and sickness are ethically connected as cause and effect ( Isaiah 33:24 , Psalms 103:3 , Matthew 9:2 , John 5:14 , 5:15 ). (Jamieson)
5 He was pierced for our lawlessness. He was crushed for our sins. He was punished so that we could have peace. He was whipped, and {by His wounds} we were healed!
He was killed because of sin. Sin is the breaking of the Law! Christ did not come to take away the Law, but to take away the punishment for breaking the Law. The Law is still in force and always be – we are freed from the PENALTY of sin. Romans 4:25 1 Peter 2:24
-a bodily wound; not mere mental sorrow; literally, "pierced" as I used here; minutely appropriate to Messiah, whose hands, feet, and side were pierced ( Psalms 22:16 ). The Margin, wrongly, from a Hebrew root, translates, "tormented."
The “pierced” is an obvious reference to this: Jhn 19:34
6 We have all strayed like sheep. Each one of us has turned to go his own way, and the LORD(Jesus) has laid all our sins on Himself.
We are all sinners (1 John). In fact, if we say we have no sin, we are liars and the truth is not in us! Why is there suffering today? This is the answer. We have all gone our own way, a way opposite of God's Way (HIS LAW). And death and sorrow is our reward! Christ came to pay off this debt-with His blood.
7 He was abused and punished, yet He never said a word! He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. He was like a sheep that is silent when its wool is cut off.
He is our Passover lamb! John 19:9
8 He was arrested, taken away, and judged. Who would have thought that He would be removed from the world? He was killed because of my people's sins.
Matthew 27:11-25 removed from the world-- He is in Heaven
9 He was laid in a tomb like a criminal. He was put there with the rich when He died, although He had done nothing violent and had never spoken a lie.
Christ fulfilled this by dying (by crucifying Him with two thieves, Matthew 27:38 ) and being buried in a rich man's unused tomb; his uncle two rich men honored Him at His death, Joseph of Arimathæa. Christ never lied, only truth was in Him. The Devil is a liar and no truth is in him.
10 Yet it pleased the LORD(Jesus) to punish Himself with suffering. “When YOU{God the father} make His life a sacrifice for our wrongdoings, He will have a multitude of children, many heirs. The will of the LORD(Jesus) will succeed through Himself.”
They were voluntarily borne by Messiah, in order that thereby He might "do Jehovah's will" ( John 6:38 , Hebrews 10:7 Hebrews 10:9 ), as to man's redemption; so at the end of the verse, "the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand."
The Margin rightly makes the prophet in the name of Yahweh Himself to speak in this verse.
11 When I see all that is accomplished by His anguish, I will be satisfied. And because of what I have experienced, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for I will bear all your sins.
Yahweh is still speaking according to Jamieson. my . . . servant--Messiah ( Isaiah 42:1 , 52:13 ).
12 So I will give Him a share among the mighty, and He will divide the prize with the strong, because I poured out My life(soul-nephesh) in death and was counted with the sinners. I carried the sins of many. I intercede for those who are lawless {sinners}.
IN DEATH-- Jesus died, just as we do. His soul DIED! The word here in Hebrew is nephesh, translated “soul” by the KJV. The same word used in Genesis chapter 1 “and man became a living soul-nephesh. The best translation for nephesh is a living being- and when speaking of death, the best translation is dead being, or as I translated this here “his life in death.” If not for the power of the FATHER and the resurrection, Christ would still be in the grave awaiting the resuurection of the dead. We see later that ONLY Christ, thus far, has been “born again,” or resurrected from the dead. All of the rest of mankind are still in their graves sleeping! See 1 Corinthians 15.
Isaiah 53 plainly speaks of the suffering Messiah – and only Jesus Christ fulfilled this prophecy- HE IS OUR LORD and SAVIOR. He is our God! Nothing less, but a lot more than we can imagine
End
So, as anyone with an eye and a mind can simply see and understand, it isn't only the Christians that have perverted the scriptures, the Jewish leaders have done the same thing! The have hidden The Real Jesus from us. Isn't about time you look for yourself?
We recommend “Shocked By the Bible” to help even the most noviced person out there to simply understand a simple message--- Just read the words!
