Winston Churchill left for posterity a great mass of writings about the Western world in war and peace, from the perspective of a military leader, politician and historian.
On this hundredth anniversary of the beginning of World War I, the below reflections in the aftermath of that war, as originally published on January 1, 1929 in Churchill’s “The Aftermath,” and quoted in his “The Gathering Storm” are as striking and prescient as they are eloquent. Not only do they provide a telling window into the state of the world following “The Great War,” but serve as an eerie precursor to World War II, the Cold War and even today.
It was not until the dawn of the twentieth century of the Christian era that war began to enter into its kingdom as the potential destroyer of the human race. The organisation of mankind into great States and Empires, and the rise of nations to full collective consciousness, enabled enterprises of slaughter to be planned and executed upon a scale and with a perseverance never before imagined. All the noblest virtues of individuals were gathered to strengthen the destructive capacity of the mass. Good finances, the resources of world-wide credit and trade, the accumulation of large capital reserves, made it possible to divert for considerable periods the energies of whole peoples to the task of devastation. Democratic institutions gave expression to the will-power of millions. Education not only brought the course of the conflict within the comprehension of everyone, but rendered each person serviceable in a high degree for the purpose in hand. The Press afforded a means of unification and of mutual stimulation. Religion, having discreetly avoided conflicted on the fundamental issues, offered its encouragements and consolations, through all its forms, impartially to all the combatantts. Lastly, Science unfolded her treasures and her secrets to the desperate demands of men, and placed in tehir hands agencies and appartus almost decisive in their character.
INDIANAPOLIS – It is expected that close to 100,000 fans will pile into the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday for the Brickyard 400, one of NASCAR's premier events on its schedule.
Yet discussion throughout media circles and in living rooms around the country will once again center on the wealth of empty seats around the track.
Why?
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the largest sports venue in the world, with a seating capacity estimated to be over 250,000 and an infield capable of accommodating another 150,000.
The second-largest track where NASCAR races in terms of capacity is the half-mile Bristol Motor Speedway at 160,000, a venue that has struggled with fan turnout in recent years.
In fact, attendance throughout the series has been down. According to NASCAR estimates, fan turnout was 4.67 million in 2005, an average of 129,722 per event. In 2012, the total had dipped to 3.52 million, an average of 97,722.Read the rest here
Many pundits say it's because of the AP scandal. I feel there is another reason!

Conservatives everywhere are surprised with the sudden actions of the main stream media in response to the Obama Administration. Many feel this is due to the fact that the AP found out they themselves were a target of the Administration wiretapping and spying. I do not believe that this has anything to do with the change in tone.
Why would reporters from the mainstream media, liberals who have protected Obama through almost every scandal anyone could think of have suddenly started to find every single scandal that could find to bring this president down? What has changed? I think you'll be surprised what I think on this. This crew at CBS, NBC, CNN, NBC along with print journalist have all spent their entire goodwill protecting the Obama administration up until now. This idea that the liberal evil media has had a “come to Jesus moment” and all of a sudden is realizing the truth and wanting people to truly be informed is nonsense! Yes, I beg to disagree with those conservative pundits that are hoping the media has finally woke up!
Something is about to change.
This corrupt media has been hiding the truth of the world’s economy from the public. They have been complicit in not reporting the real facts that we have been in the greatest world wide depression since the 1930’s. They have hid the real conditions that many are facing. They also know that Obama policies have magnified what is going to happen. I believe that we are close to civil war in this nation and a coming trade and economic WORLD WAR between the economic powers that will eventually end up in a gigantic World War! What we have seen in Cyprus and Greece is just a shadow of what is coming. The stories that The Plain Truth has been reporting (but that very few media outlets have been reporting), comes from the warnings of the Bible. It predicts a worldwide crash, economic depression, and a world war- then the revelation of the antichrist. How close are we to that? I don’t know about the end of the world, but I do see that beginnings of the birth pains.
All of this trouble in America with a coming Civil War has all been caused by this administration. I think the press knows that a worldwide crash, an economic depression and a world war are coming. I think the press wants to make sure they are seen on the good side of this ensuing war...the very hard times that they themselves have helped create and cover up. What they are doing now is merely trying to uncover what they have covered up to protect their asses.
This has happened before. After the death of JFK, no president except Obama has ever manipulated the press as good as LBJ. He passed civil rights, Medicare and a bunch of new deal type socialistic programs. The press loved him. Then came Vietnam. The press wasn’t really originally against the war, but they saw the protests and the riots and realized America was going to be dragged into a civil war. There was going to be blood in the streets, and the media realized that the masses would turn on them (the media) if they were seen as the “establishment.” They slit LBJ down the back. They sided with the hippies and the anti-war movement, and fooled the public. That is what they are trying to do right now. Don’t you be fooled!

From our fields to our forks, huge corporations have an overwhelming amount of power over our food supply every step of the way. Right now there are more than 313 million people living in the United States, and the job of feeding all of those people is almost entirely in the hands of just a few dozen monolithic companies.
If you do not like how our food is produced or you don't believe that it is healthy enough, it isn't very hard to figure out who is to blame. These mammoth corporations are not in business to look out for the best interests of the American people. Rather, the purpose of these corporations is to maximize wealth for their shareholders. So the American people end up eating billions of pounds of extremely unhealthy food that is loaded with chemicals and additives each year, and we just keep getting sicker and sicker as a society. But these big corporations are raking in big profits, so they don't really care.
If we did actually have a capitalist system in this country, we would have a high level of competition in the food industry. But instead, the U.S. food industry has become increasingly concentrated with each passing year. Just consider the following numbers about the U.S. agricultural sector...

Great Britain, France, Germany and Russia were all lead by complete morons that by shear stupidity allowed the assassination of a minor person from an even lesser known nation (Serbia) result in the First World War with millions of deaths. The great war produced the famous “lost generation” written about by Earnest Hemingway. The war destroyed France forever, reducing her into a laughing stock of all nations to this day, and took the greatest power in the world, Great Britain, and reduced her into a second rate power. The end result of WWI was WWII, and if America was not the growing world power on the scene in the 1920’s, when England declined in power - the English today would be speaking Germany saluting Hitler’s successor. Australian mother Rin Norris lost her father Nick and her three children Mo, 12, Evie, ten and eight-year-old Otis.The children were flying home with their grandfather after a family holiday in Europe, while Miss Norris and partner Anthony Maslin stayed in Amsterdam for a few extra days. Three babies were among the dead, including 21-month-old Kaela Goes, killed with her parents as they flew home to Malaysia after visiting relatives in Holland.
The Boeing 777 aircraft was hit by a sophisticated surface-to-air missile over territory near Donetsk held by pro-Russian rebels who the Ukrainian government says are backed by the Kremlin. The Ukrainian authorities laid the blame for the attack on the rebels by denying any responsibility for the missile launch. TV pictures from the scene showed a pall of smoke billowing into the sky near Donetsk, apparently from the stricken flight MH17. Witnesses say body parts are scattered over a distance of 15km, suggesting the plane broke up in mid-air.

There was a time when stock car racing was an outlaw sport. Some of the greatest of the early drivers learned their skills hauling moonshine. Most conspicuously, Junior Johnson who did a stretch in the federal crossbar hotel. But the days of Junior, Richard, Dale, and the rest of them are long past. NASCAR went corporate and like all “mature industries,” it learned how to play cozy with Washington.
A tax break for racetrack depreciation is facing the ax in one of those temporary fits of Congressional fiscal prudence. The loophole (a term NASCAR disputes, it is an “incentive’) became law, as Bernie Becker of The Hill writes:
"... in 2004, during the heat of a presidential election in which both then-President George W. Bush and then-Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) were competing for the votes of “NASCAR dads.”
Those in favor of the tax break are hauling out the usual arguments:
Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) and Rep. Tom Reed (R-N.Y.), both members of the tax-writing committees, have introduced measures to permanently extend the tracks’ current tax treatment. Stabenow said last week that the Michigan International Speedway ... generates more than $400 million a year in economic activity. “It’s a matter of just talking about how this is an economic engine for many communities around the country,” Stabenow said.
And, then, there is the argument that NASCAR and its tracks should get tax breaks equal to those extended to Disney and its theme parks.
NEW YORK – In his new full-length documentary film, “There’s No Place Like Utopia,” Joel Gilbert found Peggy Joseph, the Florida voter who became infamous during the 2008 presidential campaign for saying Barack Obama would “pay for my gas and my mortgage.”
Surprisingly, some six years into the Obama presidency, Joseph has turned against the president, disappointed that he did not deliver on his “hope and change” campaign promises.
“Peggy reminded me of Dorothy from ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ who thought the magical wizard would solve all her problems,” Gilbert told WND in an interview.

Professor Margaret MacMillan, of the University of Cambridge, argues that the Middle East could be viewed as the modern-day equivalent of this turbulent region. A nuclear arms race that would be likely to start if Iran developed a bomb "would make for a very dangerous world indeed, which could lead to a recreation of the kind of tinderbox that exploded in the Balkans 100 years ago – only this time with mushroom clouds," she writes in an essay for the Brookings Institution, a leading US think-tank.
"While history does not repeat itself precisely, the Middle East today bears a worrying resemblance to the Balkans then," she says. Morgan Shepherd's senior status has become an age-old problem in NASCAR. Just how much longer can the 72-year-old driver race? Considerably older and slower than any driver on the track, the 72-year-old Shepherd took out contender Joey Logano in the second half of Sunday's race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Shepherd's No. 33 Chevrolet was about 15 laps off the pace when he connected with Logano. Logano was running second with less than 100 laps left when he got tangled up with Shepherd and they crashed. Logano was forced to the garage. Shepherd completed 278 of the 305 laps and was 39th.

For example, shortly after the death of Democratic Senator Robert Byrd in 2010, Daily Caller contributor Mike Riggs pointed out the mainstream media’s whitewash of Byrd’s former ties to the Ku Klux Klan:
Deceased U.S. Sen. Robert Byrd will be remembered by lots of things: His love for dogs and hyperbole, his ability to funnel federal dollars into make-work jobs in his native West Virginia, his loathing of balanced budgets and the fact that he skillfully conned several generations of Appalachian woodhicks into voting for him, over and over again, for almost six decades.
In passing, Sen. Byrd will also be remembered for having joined the Ku Klux Klan as a “young man.”
A quick check of this morning’s obituaries reveal that in the eyes of the traditional media, Byrd the Progressive Porker is much more important than Bob the Exalted Cyclops.
Byrd joined the Klan at the ripe young age of 24 — hardly a young’un by today’s standards, much less those of 1944, when Byrd refused to join the military because he might have to serve alongside “race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds,” according to a letter Byrd wrote to Sen. Theodore Bilbo at the height of World War II.
Today’s obituaries, however, made little mention of Byrd’s once-deeply held hatred for African Americans.

Many people think that the Catholic Church has changed, and yet we can clearly see that she is still the same today, teaching a different gospel and a different Jesus. This man of sin 'appears' to be a good and humble man, but his teachings are of the devil. To say that we cannot have a personal, direct relationship with Jesus apart from the Roman Catholic Church is completely against the Word of God.
Revelation 3:20 ...'Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.'

From the period of 1781-1784, records show Solomon's fundraising and personal lending helped provide over $650,000 (approximately $8.8 billion in 2013 dollars) in financing to George Washington in his American Revolutionary war effort. His most meaningful financial contribution, however, came immediately prior to the final revolutionary war battle at Yorktown, he raised the money during the most holiest day of the year- Yom Kippur- The Day of Atonement when our debts are settles by God (Christ)....
Haym Salomon was born in Lesno, Poland in 1740. His parents were Jewish refugees from Portugal, who escaped religious persecution there. In his early twenties, he traveled throughout Europe acquiring an extensive knowledge of currency finance, that was to serve him well in his coming years.
After ten years of touring Europe he returned to Poland to join in that country's war with Russia. It is believed that he had to escape from the Russians, and decided on England. After earning enough money to pay for his passage to America he sailed in August, 1772. He arrived in New York City that winter.
In 1772, New York was a thriving colonial city of some 14,000 souls. Salomon soon learned that the colonies were in political turmoil over the issue of taxation without representation. Haym soon started a brokerage company and was very successful. His clientele included a large number of prominent loyalists, however, when word of the fighting at Lexington and Concord reached New York, Haym sided with the revolting Colonials and joined New York's active "Sons of Liberty". This was to get him into serious trouble.
A while ago, at the West Point Academy's Jewish Chapel, there was a display about Hyam Salomon and the Revolutionary War. He died penniless, having used all his resources to aid the newly formed and poorly supplied American Continental Army.
General Washington's financial advisor and assistant was a Jewish man by the name of Hyam Salomon. During the cold winter months at Valley Forge when American soldiers were freezing and running out of food, it was Hyam who marshaled all the Jews in America and Europe to provide money in relief aid to these stranded American troops and turned the course of history. Without this help, Washington's Continental Army, and the fate of the American Colonies would have perished before they could have defeated the British.
If you take a one dollar bill out of your pocket and look at the back at the Eagle, the stars above the Eagle's head are in the six point Star of David to honor Jews. If you turn the Eagle upside down you will see a configuration in the likeness of a Menorah....both at the insistence of George Washington who said we should never forget the Jewish people and what they have done in the interest of America.

In 1777, England made its second greatest effort of the war. British General Howe left a garrison in New York and took 13,000 troops to capture Philadelphia. Washington rose to defend the capital, but on September 11 was outflanked and although defeated at Brandywine Creek, his army was not destroyed. Washington retreated to Chester, Pa.
Several days later the Americans suffered another defeat at Paoli, Pa. Several hundred Americans were killed under a British bayonet attack. The American Congress fled from Philadelphia to York, Pa., and Howe entered Philadelphia without opposition in late September.
Howe quartered a part of his army at nearby Germantown. On October 4, the Americans attacked this garrison and seemed to have won a victory until the British made a determined stand in the Chew house. British reinforcements came up from Philadelphia while the besieged house still held out, and Washington’s little army retreated. The Americans then took up their miserable winter quarters at Valley Forge.

The sordid history of American presidents trying to overthrow enemy countries and assassinate leaders of those nations is not new. In fact, there was a strong case at one time for presidents to do whatever they had to do to protect American interests and democracy. To the left, these claims are seen as propaganda coming from fascist right-leaning Americans and antagonistic to the facts. You see, it appears that these liberals constantly refer to Nixon and his wars when making their claims about right-winged schemes to demolish democratically elected governments that at are odds with United States capitalistic and business interests. Let's examine the truth about such claims and see whether or not presidents from both parties saw a need to meddle in foreign countries internal affairs. The follow experts are from Wikipedia:
JFK and Vietnam: “The arrest and assassination of Ngô Đình Diệm, then president of South Vietnam, marked the culmination of a successful CIA-backed coup d’état led by General Dương Văn Minh in November 1963. On the morning of November 2, 1963, Diệm and his adviser, younger brother Ngô Đình Nhu, were arrested after the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) had been successful in a bloody overnight siege on Gia Long Palace in Saigon. The coup was the culmination of nine years of autocratic and nepotistic family rule in South Vietnam. Discontent with the Diệm regime had been simmering below the surface, and exploded with mass Buddhist protests against long-standing religious discrimination after the government shooting of protesters who defied a ban on the flying of the Buddhist flag.
When rebel forces entered the palace, the Ngô brothers were not present, as they had escaped the night before to a loyalist shelter in Cholon. The brothers had kept in communication with the rebels through a direct link from the shelter to the palace, and misled them into believing that they were still in the palace. The Ngô brothers soon agreed to surrender and were promised safe exile; after being arrested, they were instead executed in the back of an armoured personnel carrier by ARVN officers on the journey back to military headquarters at Tân Sơn Nhứt Air Base.
While no formal inquiry was conducted, the responsibility for the deaths of the Ngô brothers is commonly placed on Minh’s bodyguard, Captain Nguyễn Văn Nhung, and on Major Dương Hiếu Nghĩa, both of whom guarded the brothers during the trip. Minh’s army colleagues and US officials in Saigon agreed that Minh ordered the executions. They postulated various motives, including that the brothers had embarrassed Minh by fleeing the Gia Long Palace, and that the brothers were killed to prevent a later political comeback. The generals initially attempted to cover up the execution by suggesting that the brothers had committed suicide, but this was contradicted when photos of the Ngôs’ bloodied bodies surfaced in the media.
Kennedy learned of the deaths on the following morning when National Security Council staffer Michael Forrestal rushed into the cabinet room with a telegram reporting the Ngo brothers' suicides. So what are the two above examples really about and what does it mean concerning what is going on now in Egypt? The facts, as I will explain this is shocking, and I believe a case for impeachment of President Obama based on treason is in order. Treason?

I wrote that the other day concerning the farce going on in Egypt and how the Media and the Obama administration are forcing the overthrow of a sovern government on the basis of a few demonstrators, that if the truth were told would be seen to be "planted" and not even Egyptians. 80 million Egyptians are being screwed!
It can be claimed honestly that both Kennedy and Nixon did what they did, maybe against the spirit of American ideology, in the best interest of the American people. Those who see only Nixon's actions as un-American are just blind to the fact that Roosevelt, Eisenhower and John Kennedy did the same things. Eisenhower overthrew the democratically elected government of Iran in the 1950's in-order to place the Shah back on the throne of that nation in insuring the flow of cheap oil. There is no dispute that this is the case. Jimmy Carter, in turn, plotted the toppled of the Shah in his moronic belief that Americans should support only democracies, even if those nations turned out to be enemies of our people. Naïve yes, treasonous no. Being stupid is not a treasonous act and Jimmy Carter is probably the dumbest moron to ever sit in the White House. Next to him, King George II (aka President Bush) looks like a NASA scientist.
When it comes to this latest Egyptian crisis, we are not witnessing a naïve response from a weak moronic president. I believe we are witnessing a cold calculated destruction of American interest and safety by a “Manchurian candidate” who was planted in the White House by evil leftist anti - American, Marxist and Communist to destroy the nation. They chose a constitutional illegal candidate on purpose as a sign of this total hatred to the American Constitution and our way of life! What President Obama has done to our allies is a purposeful plan of destroying American power in the world, and making us vulnerable to attack by our enemies, something I fear will end up causing the deaths of perhaps MILLIONS of Americans in the next twenty years! That, my friends, is TREASON.
Honestly, this list could go to 200 pages long! The facts are evident and plan is clear- Obama and “friends” want to end your way of life as you know it and replace it with anything that is not American in origin. This president is not attempting to overthrow the nations that are our enemies, instead he is overthrowing our ally's governments! The same administration that never raised a word concerning the slaughter of thousands of Iranians last year, now can't stop dictating to our ally just how they should handle their internal problems!
Obama is the real life movie from the 80's called 'TRADING PLACES' where two rich brothers bet one dollar that they could turn a street, dope peddling thug into a Wall Street investor. It appears George Soros and friends made the same bet - picked a former drug peddler (yes this IS a picture of Obama to the left in his drug selling days) and turned this Kenyan born illegal into the the president. In the process, these billionaires made a fortune, when they robbed you of all of your wealth! You just haven't realized it yet!
It is time for Congress to do their job, and frankly, time for US to do OUR JOB and SPEAK OUT FOR AMERICA and for IMPEACHMENT.
