NEW These are the eerie scenes of an abandoned NASCAR track in Wilksboro, North Carolina which opened in the late 1940s and hosted the popular race events until the middle of the 1990s. The track, which is only around 1,000 metres long, used to host 40,000 fans for the high octane events. However, now the roadway is covered by grass while the stands are slowly getting covered by ivy.
Jimmy Stewart was one of the most prolific actors of the 20th Century, yet there was another lesser known side to the Hollywood legend, that of war hero. James Maitland Stewart, who lived from May 20, 1908 – July 2, 1997, was an iconic American film and stage actor with a distinctive voice and everyman personality that made him instantly recognizable. Over his 70 year film career, he starred in numerous films and stage productions, many of which are now considered classics. He was widely known for portraying down-to-earth, middle class characters with everyday life challenges, which was much like his own personality.
During his distinguished military service, Stewart attained the rank of major general (two stars) and received many awards for his valor, including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Force Distinguished Service Medal, Presidential Medal of Freedom, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, French Croix de Guerre, and the Army Commendation Medal. Ultimately, the prolific actor and war hero retired from the Air Force in May of 1968.

British voters are being “conned” by Brussels officials who are keeping plans for a European army secret until after the referendum, leading Tories have claimed.
Liam Fox, the former defence secretary who served under David Cameron, told The Telegraph that the ambitions showed the EU is wedded to the “dangerous fantasy” of creating a single defence force.
Another eurosceptic Tory MP said voters were being “deceived” and “hoodwinked” about the true scale of the EU’s drive to create a single army.
The backlash came as it emerged plans to move towards the creation of a European army are being kept secret from British voters until the day after next month’s referendum.

In the Bible, the story of Israel's exodus from Egypt is filled with awesome images. Usually, we have to depend on Hollywood animation to be able to visualize just exactly what some of the events that happened then looked like. The parting of the Red Sea, the Burning Bush and the Pillar of God... You say, "the Pillar of God? What's that."
Here is the story in the Bible... Exd 13:21 By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give
them light, so that they could travel by day or night.
Exd 13:22 Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.
What is a pillar of cloud? Well it obviously looked like a tornado in a desert! At night God stood by them as a pillar of flame, all the way to heaven as far as the eye could see! What an awesome sight to behold! Just imagine, people camping right next to a tornado that did not harm them. It stayed stationary for days at a time, then when it started to move, all of the people would FOLLOW IT! What many of us do not realize is that the God in the pillar was none other than Jesus Christ! Christ was with the church in the wilderness, Paul tells us so in 1 Corinthians 10:9. Also remember, Christ identified himself being the God of Moses in the eighth chapter of John, when the Jews asked him who he was he said, "Before Abraham was I AM!" When Moses asked God his name, he said "I AM that I AM, tell the people that I AM hath sent thee." Jesus, in his day was telling the people that he was I AM, in Hebrew 'Hayah!' The personal name of Jesus! Jesus is Hayah Yahweh (I am The Everlasting One, or literally, I AM, 'I AM that I AM'). None other than Jesus Christ in His pre-human existence was the God of what we call the Old Testament. God the Father NEVER uttered one word or appeared to anyone in the Old or New Testament! How do we know this? Jesus said so! Read John 5:37 for the shock of your life, "And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form..." Is there any clearer proof? The Bible is a light to our feet, a lantern to our paths, with which the God's love has provided us. It testifies of Christ. It is to us, like the pillar was to the Israelites. Listen to that voice which cries, "I am the Light of the world; he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the Light of life," John 8:12. Jesus Christ alone, as shown in the Bible, "is the Way, the Truth, and the Life," John 14:6. Follow that pillar, as the Israelites did to His pathway to eternal life.

This video also explains why the hard hearted Israelites kept on rebelling and fighting God. Yes, the sight was awesome, but then people said, "awe, it was just a tornado!" So they sinned again. Donald Trump sat down with Sean Hannity tonight on Fox News and hit Bill Clinton with the hardest charge yet.
Trump brought up a rape accusation against the former Democratic president when talking about Clinton's past behavior with women with the Fox News host.
The two were discussing a recent New York Times article that was supposed to expose Trump's own treatment of women and how several of the sources had come out and said the newspaper twisted their words.

Many people today love to compare Donald Trump to Hitler. It is unfortunate that we have today many ignorant people making stupid statements because they simply do not know HISTORY! Donald Trump is a populist, not a fascist. There is a "huuge" difference between the two. A fascism a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition. A populist is a believer in the rights, wisdom, or virtues of the common people. Some populist are more liberal, others more conservative.
In my experience, many evil people come out of populism. These are those who grow up very poor, are downtrodden and been treated very poorly by government officials and other businessmen. Huey Long is the best example of this type of populist.
Populist who grow up in a rich family are usually never evil... They do not have the trappings of "money" as God, or have been abused by the wealthy class. Such populist in this manner would be Teddy Roosevelt, who gave us safe food, national parks and broke up the monopolies that put 8 year olds in coal mines!
With that background, I am posting a story about Huey Long, the most famous evil populist of modern times! If you have not seen the movie (!949!!!) "All the Kings Men" you must rent it! It may turn out that he was killed by his own body guards (some even think FDR was behind it-but that's a follow up story).
THE STORY:
This month marks the 80th anniversary of the death of Gov. Huey Long, the flamboyant populist, dictator of Louisiana and—after President Franklin D. Roosevelt—most significant American political leader of the 1930s.
If he hadn’t been killed, Long was expected to run strongly against FDR for the Democratic nomination for president in 1936. And Long’s “Share Our Wealth” challenge from the left helped pressure Roosevelt to introduce Social Security and several other liberal programs of the New Deal.
But at 9:22 p.m. on September 8, 1935 “The Kingfish,” later depicted in Robert Penn Warren’s novel All the King’s Men and dozens of other books, was shot in a corridor of the Louisiana State Capitol Building in Baton Rouge.
Long, whose clownish humor and acerbic tongue make Donald Trump look like Michael Dukakis, entered the hospital conscious but died 30 hours later after botched medical care.
On September 16, 1935, a sham inquest was held, in which only fervent Long loyalists (including a puppet judge who later admitted he hadn’t seen the shooting) were allowed to testify and no autopsy or ballistics tests were conducted.
Like all high-profile homicides—especially ones that are hinges of history—Long’s death has spawned a cottage industry of claims, counter-claims and conspiracy theories.

Raw Milk Risk Extremely Small Compared to Risk of Other Foods
WASHINGTON, DC June 22, 2011: Data gleaned from U.S. government websites and government-sanctioned reports on foodborne illnesses show that the risk of contracting foodborne illness by consuming raw milk is much smaller than the risk of becoming ill from other foods, according to research by Dr. Ted Beals, MD, appearing in the Summer, 2011 issue of Wise Traditions, the quarterly journal of the Weston A. Price Foundation.
“At last we have access to the numbers we need to determine the risk of consuming raw milk on a per-person basis,” says Sally Fallon Morell, president of the Weston A. Price Foundation, a non-profit nutrition education foundation that provides information on the health benefits of raw, whole milk from pastured cows.

Walk into a British supermarket, and you may be surprised, even horrified, by what you’ll see: cartons of eggs sitting next to canned meats and baked beans—at room temperature. Europeans don’t refrigerate their eggs, but Americans need to. Why? In a word: salmonella.
Because of the way the nation’s factory farms produce and distribute eggs, American consumers must take additional measures to prevent contamination from salmonella—that sneaky little pathogen that causes 1.2 million illnesses in the U.S. each year.
When it comes to minimizing salmonella infections, American producers focus on the eggshells, which could get sullied with organic matter, such as chicken feces. The USDA requires producers to rinse, dry, and mist the eggs with chlorine before sending them to market.
Europeans, on the other hand, focus on inhibiting salmonella infections in the hens themselves. In the United Kingdom, farmers began vaccinating their hens against the bacteria in 1998 so that no salmonella gets transferred from chicken to egg. How about feces on shells? Farmers depend on the eggs’ natural, thin coating to stop bacteria from seeping in. (This protective layer goes out the window when American eggs go through the rinsing process.)
England and Wales recorded 14,771 cases of a salmonella strain in 1997 before farmers started vaccinating their hens. The number dropped to 581 in 2009.
“We have pretty much eliminated salmonella as a human problem in the U.K.,” the British Egg Information Service’s director, Amanda Cryer, told The New York Times.

Once upon a time, the police were one of the most respected institutions in America, but now most Americans fear them. Almost every single day there are multiple stories of police brutality or misconduct that make the national news. Just this week, there have been stories about police killing a baby deer at an animal shelter, about police killing a 95-year-old World War II veteran in a retirement home, and about police using legal technicalities to “legally” steal massive amounts of money from innocent citizens.
Why are police acting like this? Why have police in America turned into such ruthless thugs? In the case of the baby deer that was killed, 13 armed agents stormed the animal shelter up in Wisconsin where it was being cared for. Is this really the kind of country that we want our children to grow up in?
A country where Bambi is hunted down by armed thugs working for the government? Sadly, the story about that deer is not an isolated incident. The truth is that police all over the country kill animals every single day. In fact, police in Chicago have shot 488 animalssince 2008. No wonder people are so afraid to have the police come to their homes.

The grieving families and friends of the six NSW victims of the MH17 plane disaster have watched a graphic reconstruction of how the aircraft was blown up at an inquest in Sydney as the coroner described the tragedy as 'gross mass murder'.
Dutch air crash investigators created the video to simulate the final moments of the Malaysian Airlines plane as it was shot down by a Russian missile over Ukraine in 2014.
NSW State Coroner Michael Barnes described the deaths of the Australian MH17 victims as 'part of a gross mass murder'.
'Coroners do not make findings of criminal guilt but it would be pointless sophistry not to acknowledge that these deaths were part of a gross mass murder,' Mr Barnes said on Friday.

(NBC News) A week after a Navy SEAL trainee died following a swimming drill in California, accounts are emerging that challenge the Navy’s narrative of what happened and paint a darker picture, alleging that the death may have been the result of an instructor going too far.
Seaman James Derek Lovelace, 21, died May 6 during what a Navy spokesman described as a swimming exercise in the first week of SEAL training. A safety observer noticed Lovelace “having a hard time,” the spokesman said, and instructors guided him to the edge of the pool and tried to revive him. He never regained consciousness.

“[People see this] as potential proof that you don’t have anything to offer as president. What is your thinking on this line of attack?” he asked.
“Well, this is a nice way to start off the interview,” Trump responded, turning the table on Cuomo. “You should congratulate me for having won the race. I thought, you know, there’d at least be some small congratulations. But I’m not surprised with CNN because that’s the way they treat Trump. They call it ‘The Clinton Network.'”

Donald Trump recently said that if abortions were ILLEGAL, then there should be a penalty for women breaking such a law. And wow! The media frenzy that erupted was absolutely astonishing! Everywhere you looked (TV, radio, internet, newspapers, magazines…) it was all the same: Condemnation! Condemnation! Condemnation! I was shocked! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing! And hearing! You mean, that if a woman were to ILLEGALLY dispose of her child, by willfully breaking the law, that there should be NO penalty at all for her doing so? What! Are you kidding me? Then what would be the point of such a law? Oh, I see: the doctor who performed the illegal abortion would be penalized, but the woman would get off scot-free! Really? Absolutely amazing!
Then a few nights later I was watching the Charlie Rose show on TV, and on the show that evening were 5 guests. One of the guests was a very conservative staunch pro-life representative. So Charlie Rose asked her what she thought about Trump’s comment. I immediately thought: “Good, we are finally going to hear from someone who will agree that there should be some kind of penalty for women who willfully and illegally break such a law.” But no! That’s not what she said at all! She went on to regurgitate just about everything that the media had been saying over the last few days. I couldn’t believe it! I almost fell off of my chair! I mean, this was coming from a staunch pro-life advocate! Wow! Utterly amazing!
Then Rose asked her, “Well, why not? If that’s the law, WHY SHOULDN’T THERE BE A PENALTY FOR BREAKING THE LAW? I MEAN, WHY HAVE A LAW IF THERE IS NO PENALTY FOR BREAKING THE LAW?” She then replied, “Oh no, you can’t do that!” He repeated, “Why not?” She replied, “Because the woman having the abortion is the ‘victim.’” And then the other 4 guests on his show quickly chimed in, agreeing with every word that she said.
It was obvious that Charlie Rose was very perplexed by her answer (and that of the other 4 panel members). But instead of courageously pressing the issue, he just timidly gave in and softly responded: “Oh, the woman is the victim…”
What total nonsense! The woman is the victim? The woman is the victim? How about the innocent little baby that savagely had its little life snuffed out of it? Isn’t the dead little baby the victim here?
I’ve always believed that the victim of an abortion was the slaughtered baby. But now I’m learning just how wrong I’ve been all of these years, that the “real” victim here is the woman who kills the baby. Wow, I’m so glad this woman straightened me out. Just think, I may have lived the rest of my life thinking that the poor innocent precious little baby was the victim instead of the murderous perpetrator. Wow, silly me. I think I get it now though. Let’s see if I got this right: When someone is killed, it’s the one who does the killing who is the victim. Oh, that’s easy to understand. I wonder why I never got this before.
Oh, wait a minute! I think I’m having a eureka moment (i.e. aha! moment). Now I see how this all works. When a baby is butchered and its little limbs are torn apart, and then it is barbarically sucked out of its mother’s womb, it’s not the murderer’s fault—it’s the baby’s fault! After all, if the baby hadn’t showed up in the first place, in this poor woman’s body, there would be no need for a messy abortion! Right? Isn’t that the way it “really” is? So blame it all on the baby! It’s dead anyway. It won’t have any guilt trips. But if we put the blame on the poor mother who murdered the baby, just think what that would do to her self-esteem! She might needlessly even feel guilty for murdering her child. And we can’t have that, can we?
I guess it’s just like the ILLEGAL aliens that are in this country. Now, I’m not talking about the legal law-abiding immigrants who wait their turn and legally come to this country each year. No, I’m talking about those who break the law and invade this country by the millions. Here they are, ILLEGALLY living among us, and often, instead of being penalized, they are rewarded with free medical care, free housing, free food, free education, driver’s licenses, etc. I mean, this makes a lot of sense, doesn’t it? I mean, you break the law and you get rewarded, you obey the law and you get penalized. I don’t see anything wrong with that, do you? I mean, it makes perfectly good sense, doesn’t it?
And then if you have Donald Trump or someone else speaking up against this ridiculous nonsense, what happens? They are immediately demonized in a firestorm of condemnation. Incredible! Absolutely incredible! Satan is indeed alive and well. And very busy I might add. Not to mention, very effective!
