“Sin is the transgression of the Law.” You can find that and one 1 John 3:4. It is the only definition of what sin is! One sins, only when they break the Law of God, in Hebrew known as the Torah, summed up in the Ten Commandments.
John also tells us that if we confess our sin, God will forgive us. If we say we have no sin, then there is no forgiveness. 1John:5 “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.”
This article is not about homosexual marriage, or about the role of homosexuality in government. This article is about what God has to say about homosexuality, about sin in general, and what is The Plain Truth about the matter. Often, many Christians want to demonize homosexuality - by making it a far worse than any other sin; But biblically that is a false teaching, and it is not accurate at all.

The Bible clearly states that when you sin, you break the law. “For the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God's laws
Let's be clear. Homosexuality IS A SIN:
Leviticus 18:22
"Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin." (NLT)
Leviticus 20:13
"If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense." (NLT)
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people-none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (NLT)
1 Timothy 1:8-10
Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine ... (ESV)
Jude 7
And don't forget Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, which were filled with immorality and every kind of sexual perversion. Those cities were destroyed by fire and serve as a warning of the eternal fire of God's judgment. (NIV)
However, the act of homosexuality is no greater of a sin than any other Law. Therefore, Jesus plainly tells us that anyone who confesses their sins and begs God for forgiveness, trying as hard as they can to find a way out of their sinful life, will find forgiveness in God! All sinners can be forgiven. We must however, admit that our actions, including homosexuality IS A HORRIBKLE SIN! Admitting our sins is the first step to forgiveness from God. All honest prayers to God are heard.
With the homosexual community (I do not call them the “gay” community, in that there is nothing gay or happy about their lifestyle), the problem arises when they refuse to admit that their actions are sins. It's like Bill Clinton claiming that oral sex wasn't sex. When King David was caught by God committing adultery with a married woman and arranging her husband to death in battle, he knew that he had sinned. David didn't try to explain away his sin to God or claim that by some Technicality that he wasn't guilty of sin. He admitted his sin in this beautiful psalm:
(Psalm 51:)
Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my sins.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me.
4 Against You, You only, have I sinned,
And done this evil in Your sight—
That You may be found just when You speak,
And blameless when You judge.
5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me hear joy and gladness,
That the bones You have broken may rejoice.
9 Hide Your face from my sins,
And blot out all my iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.
14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
The God of my salvation,
And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.
15 O Lord, open my lips,
And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
16 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.
18 Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion;
Build the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,
With burnt offering and whole burnt offering;
Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar.
David found forgiveness because he admitted his sins, and begged for forgiveness! This isn't the case with queers today! Homosexuals today who are trying to tell you that homosexuality is an alternative lifestyle and that God is not against it. That simply is not what the Bible says look at the passage I quoted above! They blaspheme God by informing God and the world that they are not sinning, and they refuse to repent! This leads to DEATH! And without asking for forgiveness, leads to eternal death!
A person who is a homosexual can be forgiven by God if that person admits they are a sinner and they ask God to help them overcome their sins. This may not happen in their lifetime, but they can still find justification with God by admitting what they are doing is a sin. That's the first step, and if they are sincere, God will fill in the remaining steps.
When one confronts God Almighty and saying that what they are doing is not wrong --- They are calling God a liar! Jesus' Blood does not save anyone from blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (Mat 12:31). This is the truth of the Bible. No one can find any other scripture to defend the act of homosexuality.
Once you admit your sin, and then truthfully ask for forgiveness and the help to overcome your sin, you are on the roadway to grace from God. Every sin can be forgiven, including the acts of homosexuality.
We all sin and we all fall short of God's grace. However, Jesus' blood works for anyone who is honest with God about their condition of transgressions. God has much more tolerance such a sinner then He has with the modern day gay community which refuses to admit their sins arrogantly. There can be no forgiveness for behaviors that one refuses to admit is wrong.
