Many today do not know this, but the Japanese Constitution was mainly written by Gen MacArthur and staff...The most important reform carried out by the American occupation was the establishment of a new constitution to replace the 1889 Meiji Constitution. In early 1946, the Japanese government submitted a draft for a new constitution to the General Headquarters, but it was rejected for being too conservative. MacArthur ordered his young staff to draft their own version in one week. The document, submitted to the Japanese government on February 13, 1946, protected the civil liberties MacArthur had introduced and preserved the emperor, though he was stripped of power. Article 9 forbade the Japanese ever to wage war again. This establishment of a Japanese war department was presented to the General by the prime minister, who said, "we can never again suffer Hiroshima and Nagasaki"--- to which MacArthur said that he would do everything possible to fulfill that wish..... Today we are allowing this militarization to happen again and WAR in Asia will be the result.

George S. Patton (inset), the legendary general from the Second World War died 75 years ago under mysterious circumstances that have fueled conspiracy theories ever since. He was left paralyzed from the neck down in a car accident that took place on a deserted road in Germany (left). Modern people in a modern world – isn't that always the case, though? – long ago convinced themselves that an all-powerful creator God was a fantasy disposed of long ago by earlier generations, a convenient myth concocted by primitive peoples to help them explain the world around them.

China plans to rewrite all translated "classic religious books" to reflect the socialist values of the Communist Party of China. The order was given during a meeting in November that was organized by the Committee for Ethnic Affairs, which is responsible for all religious matters of the country.
While not directly referring to the Quran and the Bible, the committee plans a comprehensive review of the religious texts, which allegedly "do not conform to the progress of the times" and need to be fitted to the "era of President Xi Jinping."
The reviewed editions of the text – sutras from Buddhism included – should not be against the principles of the Communist Party and will either be changed or re-translated by state-appointed censors. MORE
According to their latest FluView report , the CDC estimates that there have been at least 3.7 million flu illnesses. Some 32,000 have required hospitalization while another 1,800 have died.
Three bodies have been discovered at the Alamo, inset top right, during an archaeological dig at the national monument in Texas. The remains, which were found in monk burial room, pictured, and church nave at the historic mission, were 'indicative of a teenage or young adult, infant, and large adult.' The remains were discovered during an archaeological project to install moisture monitoring equipment at the Alamo, while documenting the 300-year-old structures. The bodies were not moved, and the excavation of the site was halted. Remains also were discovered at that site in 1989 and identified in 1995. Photos of the excavation are pictured, top right. The Apostle Paul has been the subject of movies, books, and too many sermons and Sunday School lessons to count. But if you think you know everything there is to know about this influential missionary and writer of half of the New Testament, think again. We hope this article makes for some fascinating reading for you and a provided new perspective on the man who “saw the light” (Acts 9:3) and went on to play a huge role in giving us the Word of God that is a lamp and light in lives today. (Psalm 119:105).
Here’s what you need to know:
1. Paul and Cleopatra had something in common.
Paul was born in the Roman city of Tarsus, the same city where Cleopatra staged a colorful and seductive first meeting with Marc Antony. Hoping to become military allies, he had invited the Queen to meet with him in Tarsus. She responded by sailing into the city on a golden barge equipped with silver oars, purple sails, and adorned with flowers and exotic perfumes. She herself was dressed as Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love. Roughly 50 years later, Paul was born in the same city, located in what is today southern Turkey. He speaks of his native city to a Roman soldier, saying, “I am a Jew, from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no ordinary city.” (Acts 21:39).
2. Paul had a good reason for becoming a tentmaker.
When it came time for the youthful Paul to learn a trade, he learned how to make tents—and for good reason! Paul’s native province of Cilicia was well known for producing and exporting a goat-hair cloth sought after for making tents. The cloth was woven from the long-hair of a peculiar breed of goats native to the area.
3. Paul was a couple of years younger than Jesus.
Scholars put the birth year of Paul between 2 to 6 years after the birth of Christ.
4. Some of Paul’s relatives are mentioned in the Bible.
In Acts 23 we have mention of Paul’s father who was a Pharisee (v 6), his sister, and his nephew (v16) who saves him from a plot against his life. We learn more about his distant relatives when he writes, in Romans 11:1, “I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin.” And we know that Benjamin was the second son of Rachel and Jacob (Genesis 35: 16-18) so there are a couple more relatives right there. Finally, some scholars think he was named after King Saul, another distant relative since Paul came from a devout Jewish family and was of the lineage of Benjamin, as was King Saul, the first king of Israel.
5. You’ve heard of Nero fiddling while Rome burned? It’s likely that Paul was beheaded by Nero, and that the burning of Rome had something to do with it.
No one knows if Nero actually played the lyre while Rome burned, but we do know that many Romans blamed him for the near destruction of their city and that, following the fire, Nero staged fierce and brutal persecutions of Christians. Many scholars say the reason he lashed out at Christians was to draw blame and attention away from himself for the negative press he was getting over the fire.
So what does this have to do with Paul? While the Bible does not specify when and how Paul died, we know that 2nd Timothy was written while Paul was in a Roman prison from 66-67 AD—not long after the burning of Rome in 64—and that during this time Paul was anticipating his death: “For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:6-8). Furthermore, an early church historian Eusebius wrote that Paul was, indeed, beheaded at the order of the Roman emperor Nero.
6. Paul gets the award for writing the biggest chunk of the Bible in the shortest period of time. He wrote more than half of the New Testament over a period of 17 years—and about half of that was written over a period of three years, from 61 to 63 A.D. During this time, he wrote Philemon, Colossians, Ephesians, Philippians, Hebrews, 1 Timothy, and Titus. He wrote four of these letters in prison, which might explain why he was so prolific!
7. Jesus didn’t change Saul’s name to Paul after his conversion. It’s not uncommon to hear the story of how the Pharisee known Saul was traveling to Damascus to find and imprison Christians when a light from heaven flashed around him and he heard the voice of Jesus say, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” (Acts 9:4, 22:7). The man had a miraculous conversion experience and began preaching that Jesus is the Messiah with a boldness that changed history—and somewhere in the process Jesus renamed him Paul to represent his conversion and rebirth. Except that last part isn’t exactly in the Bible.
What really happened is that after his miraculous conversion on the road to Damascus, Saul continues to be called, well, Saul, by the Holy Spirit and others long after his conversion. (You can see it happen here: Acts 9:17, 11:25, 11:30, 12:25, 13:2, 13:7)
Then in Acts 13:9, as he is getting ready to launch his ministry to largely Greek-speaking Gentiles on Cypress, we read these words: “Then Saul, who was also called Paul…” And from then on Luke, the author of Acts, continues to call him Paul. One idea is that “Saul” is his Hebrew name, while as a Roman citizen he also bore the biblical Greek name of Paul. It was not uncommon for people in that day to have two names. The theory is that Luke began calling his fellow missionary “Paul” because that would be the more familiar name to the Gentiles to which they were ministering.
Regardless of how and why Saul came to be better known as Paul, nothing diminishes the importance of the transforming encounter he had with Jesus on the road to Damascus. It was an encounter that altered the course of history, resulted in untold generations throughout the world meeting Jesus as their Savior, and made it possible for us to receive half of the New Testament through the writings of this rock star of an Apostle of Christ.

For the most part the city of Petra has been forgotten in church prophecy. Yet Petra, first inhabited by Canaanite Horites, then Edomites, Israelites, Nabatean Arabs, is actually third third most mentioned place in the Bible! Once a most important place to Ancient Israel and God, then lost to the world for 1500 years, now being investigated again since it’s rediscovery in 1812. Petra, Jordan (Kadesh Barnea)
Josephus says Kadesh Barnea was located at Petra in 1400 BC. The Treasury at Petra was carved by the Nabataeans in 100 BC and represents a reuse of the Hebrew city. This unusual "city of the tombs" carved into solid sandstone by the Nabataeans was the place Israel buried their dead for 38 years.
Since the time of Joshua, is has been called "The Rock" (Sela/Petra) because this is where Moses brought water out of the Rock.
Introduction: Reasons why Petra is Kadesh:
1. You can prove from the Bible that Kadesh must be Transjordan, east of the Arabah Valley. (see below or southern boundaries of Judah for more specific details.) When Israel departed Kadesh, they headed south towards the Red Sea and came to Mt. Hor where Aaron died. We know, therefore, that Kadesh is either at Petra, or just north of it.
2. Eusebius (325 AD), Jerome (400 AD) both said that Kadesh was located at Petra. They also said that in their day, they could still see the rock that Moses struck with his staff for water.
3. Josephus (110 AD), Eusebius (325 AD), Jerome (400 AD) all stated that Petra is where Aaron died on Mt. Hor. Mt. Hor was Transjordan outside the promise land only one stop from Kadesh.
4. All Bible maps since 1916 AD wrongly locate Kadesh Barnea at ein el-Qudeirat which is 27 km inside formal stated boundary of the promised land. Israel did not spend 38 years in the wilderness in the territory given to Judah. So the current choice of Kadesh at Qudeirat is wrong for two reasons: 1. it is not Transjordan. 2. It is inside the promised land. Both of these reasons are based upon explicit Bible passages.
5. The name "Petra" means rock, because this is the place where Moses "brought water out of the rock". The Bible refers to Petra three times as "Sela", which also means rock. In 325 AD Eusebius said that he could visit Petra and see the very rock that Moses split in two and water came out. We believe that the 1 km long crevice called "the Siq", is itself what was split in two. People are looking for a single rock that split, when in fact it was more like an earth quake that split an entire mountain in two. More on the rock that split.
6. There is an ancient tradition (Eusebius) of the "River of Moses" (Wadi Musa) that flows through the 1 km long crevice (Siq), past the Nabataean Treasury then down into the Arabah valley. This reinforces why it is called, "Petra". Both the Rock that Moses struck and the resulting flow of water are ancient traditions at Petra. There are several springs in the Petra area even today. The Siq is a complex geological feature that has many places where water could enter it.
7. Geologist, Dr. Don Patton has personally examined the "River of Moses" (Siq), and has concluded that the canyon has hydrological features consistent with water cutting. As you walk the Siq, there are many fissures where water came out of the rock and joined the main flow. The Roman road that was recently excavated below 15 feet of earth, proves that the Siq is a dead relic canyon that has not deepened in 2300 years. This indicates that a large continuous flow of water cut the canyon quickly.
8. Archeology has uncovered evidence an occupation of Petra of a people (perhaps Hebrew) before the Edomites (1400 - 950 BC), Solomon (950 - 930 BC) and the Nabataeans (350 BC - 106 AD) Romans (106 AD - 300 AD) There is an ancient "Neolithic" town at Al-Beidha, just north of Petra. This is the general area where we would expect to find Kadesh, although we are not suggesting (to make it clear) that these Neolithic remains are from the exodus period.
9. Archeologists look for candidate locations of Kadesh with large natural water supplies. Ein el-Qudeirat, for example, was chosen for just this reason. Today Qudeirat is the almost universal choice of location on all Bible maps because it is the largest spring in the Sinai Peninsula for a 100 km radius. But the real Kadesh was described as a waterless place with no crops, grazing lands or fruit trees. Only with a miracle of Moses hitting the rock, did a large river result. Although we can prove from Tell el-kheleifeh, that sea levels are unchanged, the water table levels have dropped dramatically since the Exodus. Even during the time of Christ there were many springs flowing at Petra. In 15 AD, Strabo: "The metropolis of the Nabataeans is Petra ... and the inside parts having springs in abundance, both for domestic purposes and for watering gardens. (Strabo. Geography 16:4:21, 15 AD) Yet today, the 5 springs of Petra, have almost all dried up. So Kadesh is likely located at a place with no springs at all that we can see today!
10. No one knows why the tombs of the dead are there. It even says this in the official site information. Moshe said this. it is because it is near Mt. Hor where Aaron and Miriam were buried.
11. Since they spent 38 years at Kadesh, the tombs were where the dead Israelites were kept. The Nabateans found the site continued in the tradition started by the Hebrews of using it as a burial city. "The city underwent major construction in the period 50 BC to AD 100 during the reigns of Obodas II (III) and Aretas IV (with construction of the Treasury, Q'asr al Bint, Temple of the Winged Lions and Theatre), and Roman and Greek technologies most probably influenced the water-system design." (The Water Supply of Petra, Charles R. Ortloff, Cambridge Archaeological Journal, 2005, 15:1:93-109)
12. Moshe pointed out what he believed to be where the Israelite camp was at Petra.
13. There is no large flow of water now at Petra, the canyons are water cut relics of the past. Just like Mammoth caves in Kentucky are a relic of past events, so too Petra.

15. "Despite 75 years of excavation, only one percent of the city has been investigated." (How Petra was Built, Shaher M. Rababeh, 2005, p28)
16. It is very interesting is that the location of Petra was unknown in 1600 AD. It was rediscovered in 1812, by John Lewis Burckhardt. Yet maps from the 1600's knew of its existence but they were not sure where to locate it. For example, in 1587 AD, Abraham Ortelius had two locations for Petra and Kadesh Barnea. A precedent for mapping uncertain locations in two places is also found in the Madaba map regarding the location of Mt. Gerizim and Mt. Ebal. Just as the Madaba Map has two locations for Gerizim and Ebal, so too does Abraham Ortelius's map have two locations for Petra and Kadesh Barnea. What is clear, however, is that Abraham Ortelius located Kadesh Barnea beside Petra. He just didn't know where Petra was! See our map page for more details.
17. After a careful research of the Bible and history, it became evident that Kadesh was either at or just north of Petra. 4 km north of Petra is Beidha which has traces of human occupation going back as far as the flood (3000 BC). The three occupational stages at Beidha occurred between 3000 - 1000 BC. Occupation by the Nabataeans about 100 BC is also evident. We believe that Beidha was part of Kadesh Barnea and represented public buildings used for various communal things. (Early Village Life At Beidha: Neolithic, Brian Byrd, 2005 AD)
God’s TRUE Church is pictured in Revelation 12. It is symbolized by a woman-(the bride of Christ). We see that by the end time, the true Church is hated by the world. The great False Christian Church in Rome is not this church. The Church in Rome will be loved and a leader in the Tribulation times. According to verse 6 the true Church flees the first time from her persecutors for 1260 years - during the Middle Ages. But verse 14 unveils another flight of the Church-in the very last days. This time the duration is only 3y2 years! “And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle”-supernatural deliverance-“that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time”--3 1/2 years.
Revelation 3:7-13. “I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation”-the time of trial--“which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth’ (verse 10). Here is a world-wide terror that will come upon the entire world. This is not for the slow-moving past. It is a prophecy for the soon to come “last days” of human history--just before God intervenes to set up His Kingdom to bring peace to the world.
Isaiah 42:l0-13. Here is a prophecy for today-a time of divine intervention, verse 14. Now read verse 11 from the Jewish Publication Society translation according to the original inspired Hebrew: “Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit”--the descendants of Kedar are the Bedouin Arabs who dwell throughout the Middle East in black tents. Here we have a wilderness located in the Arab world! But continue reading: “Let the inhabitants of Sela exult. Let them shout from the top of the mountains.” The inhabitants of Sela? Who are they? And where is Sela? (In the King James Version the word for Sela is translated “rock.” Sela is the Hebrew name of Petra)
Isaiah 33: Beginning with verse 13 God warns the House of Israel (which is The United States, Britain, and certain Western and Northern European nations)-the “sinners in Zion”-of their sins (verse 14). “Who will be able to live through the endtime warfare?” God asks (verse 14). Those who obey Him, declares verse 15. But where will they go?
Verses 16 and 17 answer! “He shall dwell on high: his place of defense shall be the munitions of rocks.. .” This verse is poorly translated in most versions because the translators did not understand the prophecy. The true meaning has been hidden. The place of protection shall be, not munitions of rocks, but the “strongholds of Sela!” The original, inspired Hebrew, mistranslated “munitions,” is metsad, and means a stronghold or a castle or a fort. And the word for “rock” in this verse is Sela, the name of Petra in the Hebrew language!
Petra is a dry, barren area. It hardly provides a few dozen Bedouin sufficient sustenance. How are all of the faithful people of God to be provided for? Continue with the end of verse 16: “...his bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.” Here also is supernatural provision! Remember what happened to the children of Israel in the Sinai wilderness? God supernaturally provided them food and water nearly 40 long years! God can do the same today! It is not those who heap up provisions that shall escape! It is those who obey God, who do His work, and who trust Him to provide the necessities and the divine protection when that time arrives!
Verse 17 completes the picture: “Thine eyes shall see the King in His beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off’-or “they shall behold a land stretching afar,” according to the Jewish translation. We shall see Him as He is (I John 3:2). Notice also that those in safety see “the land”-Palestine, the promised land stretching into the distance. Surely here is another indication of the high rocky crags of Petra from which one may look northwest to the promised land.
In Isaiah 16, in verses 1 to 5, the prophet foretells, “Send the lambs for the Ruler (Christ) of the land from Petra that is toward the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion” The time setting of this prophecy is the return of Christ to rule the world. He is the King of the land. The Moabites are commanded to seek Him, to send Him an offering as a token of their submission. The offering comes from Petra. Other prophecies also picture peoples from the east capturing the land east of the Jordan. (See Ezekiel 25:l0.) As these hordes plunge toward Palestine, slaughtering as they go, a pitiful remnant--described in Jeremiah 48:1-25--escapes at the Arnon (a stream running into the Dead Sea). The Moabite refugees flee southward for protection. Why? Is it perhaps because they have known of others already there in a place of safety? Now look at verse 4. God is addressing Moab: "Let Mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler."
"Mine outcasts," This is what God calls them. Now compare this prophecy with Jeremiah 48:28, “O ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock”--Petra--“and be like the dove that makes her nest in the sides of the holes mouth...” This is a great description of Petra, with its caves! Isaiah 16:5 then reveals the very next prophetic event to occur: “then God will establish one of David's descendants as king. He will rule with mercy and truth. He will always do what is just and be eager to do what is right.”
The longest continuous prophecy, covering event by event over 2500 years of history, is found in Daniel chapters 10 - 12. In the eleventh chapter, verse 41, is a prophecy for the “End Times.” The final ruler of the Roman Empire--the King of the North (Europe) -- overruns Egypt and invades Palestine. “He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon” (v. 41). The ancient territories are today all found in one modern nation- Jordan! And in Jordan today is Petra!
Does not this prophecy imply that Jordan escapes because God has chosen this land to be a place of safety? Every one of these prophecies point to the mysterious city of Petra as a place of safety! Not all of the Church will end up here, as the Bible does not preach “protectionism” to the saved. Many Christians are to be slaughtered for the sake of Christ, others will be tortured and imprisoned, but a few will be protected by God in the wilderness - and that place may be Petra...

Death.... A sobering thought, but a topic that concerns everyone alive. For the most part, everyone's life is going to end badly. I'm not being funny or sarcastic, but The Plain Truth is that most deaths are not pretty, they tend to be dramatic to everyone around the event. Even when a 100 year old grandmother dies, her entire living family grieves, especially if that death ended in painful agony for weeks, even months.
This idea first came to me when my father died, some 21 years ago. I was not aware until the day I showed up at the hospital back home in Connecticut that he was going to die in just a few days. I was shocked to find this out. However, the next five or six days were pure agony for me. To watch my father die was horrifying. Suffering with him at night, as he fought to live. That week seemed like eternity to me. Dying may come too quickly in our life, but the act of dying seems to go on and on in agony....
The song "All I know," had already been a favorite to me, as a love song, but after dad's death, it had much more meaning to me. The agony our lives, which goes by so swiftly and we become old before we realize it. We all have witnesses watching our life zoom by so quickly, then to find it ends terribly, in a slow agonizing death. In my case, I pray my death comes quickly, but odds are it will not. Most likely I like most, will have to endure such an end, or endure our loved ones go through the process. A sad thought.
God knows the sting of death, and God also knows that death is an enemy of mankind.
Paul writes in 1 Corinthians about death and the only hope for mankind.... The resurrection of the dead, WHEN JESUS COMES!
1 For 15:45---The Scriptures tell us, “The first man, Adam, became a living person.”But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a life-giving Spirit. 46. What comes first is the natural body, then the spiritual body comes later. 47 Adam, the first man, was made from the dust of the earth, while Christ, the second man, came from heaven. 48 Earthly people are like the earthly man, and heavenly people are like the heavenly man. 49 Just as we are now like the earthly man, we will someday be likei the heavenly man.
50 What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever.
51But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! 52 It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed.53For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.
54Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die,j this Scripture will be fulfilled:
56For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. 57But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Sad as death is, Christ came and died for our sins, and to give us eternal life! Yes the bitterness of death is coming, but sweet victory follows! The songs says: "It's a fine line between the darkness and the dawn - They say in the darkest night, there's a light beyond." Yes, it's the darkest before the coming of the sun in the morning, as it will the darkest for us when we die, but the light of Christ will shine again in our eyes! Come dear Jesus! We need you to rule this earth.
Anyone familiar with Jonathan Cahn's New York Times bestseller "The Paradigm"would find plenty of irony in Hillary Clinton's veiled comparison of Donald and Melania Trump to the infamous biblical king Ahab and his tyrannical, co-leader wife, Jezebel.
Clinton made the reference Friday at the memorial service of Rep. Elijah Cummings in Baltimore, pointing out the congressman shared a name with the Old Testament prophet who dramatically confronted Ahab and Jezebel.
"Like the prophet, our Elijah could call down fire from heaven, but he also prayed and worked for healing," she said. "He weathered storms and earthquakes but never lost his faith. Like that Old Testament prophet, he stood against corrupt leadership of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel."
But look at the FACTS!
Jezebel was raised under the worship of the goddess Ashtoreth, a symbol of female power, while Hillary Clinton is a longtime advocate of radical feminism.
Jezebel championed Baal worship, featuring the offering of children, while Hillary Clinton has been a major advocate of abortion.
Jezebel married Ahab, the king of the religiously conservative nation of Israel, and Hillary Clinton married Bill Clinton, the governor of the Bible Belt state of Arkansas.
Jezebel and Hillary Clinton both viewed religious conservatives as their enemies
Jezebel, with her husband, established Israel's first co-regency, while Bill and Hillary Clinton touted America's first "co-presidency."
Ahab reigned in government and on the public stage for 22 years, while Bill Clinton was in government for the same period of time, from 1979 to 2001.
The scandals of Ahab and Jezebel involved their appropriating of real estate and the death of the man connected to that land, Naboth. The scandals of Bill and Hillary Clinton were marked by their Whitewater real estate deal and the death of a man connected to the scandal, Vince Foster.
Though quite different in nature, two news stories that have come to the fore in recent weeks exemplify the same motivators on the part of powerful leftists. Additionally, these illustrate a very important underlying reason behind the over-the-top, Orwellian propaganda emanating from the establishment press and the clumsy though draconian tactics of congressional Democrats. The two stories of which I speak are the impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump and the media blackout concerning a story about the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein having been spiked by ABC News.
Just imagine for a moment if the Trump administration was compelled to look deeply into Bill and Hillary Clinton's 30-year relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood, Al Gore's dealings with China or Hunter Biden's incestuous international business schemes. Think of what might occur if the deportment of Hillary Clinton's State Department, the Obama administration's part in the Arab Spring, the rise of ISIS and the story behind the Benghazi raid were finally brought to light. What might happen if the Trump administration held inquiries on the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal, or Obama's weaponization of federal agencies?
I often mention that God's calendar is NOT like any other calendar on earth today. It is not the Roman calendar that we follow, or the equally pagan Jewish calendar that many churches believe is the calendar of God. To read more about God's Calendar click here . There is a mistake that those who follow a Jewish calendar has made, and that refers to the word for new moon. That is a mistranslation, as the proper rendering should be NEW MONTH, as I did in The Plain Truth's Red Letter Bible.
The Hebrew word 'chodesh', which is Strong's Exhaustive Concordance simply means "new" or to "rebuild." Chodesh does not mean "new moon". It means 'new' with an implication that a month is about to begin again.
Originally, when the earth had a perfect 360 day rotation around the sun, and the moon's journey around the earth was exactly 30 days (today it is 29.5 days), new moons where on the new months. The calendar was in balance. However, probably after the flood, the weight of water slowed the earth rotational spin (this is NOT mentioned in the Bible) to 365.25 days a year and the moon's rotation to the present one of 29.5 days.
The ancients noticed that the months were no longer 30 days and the years were not 360 days, but now over 365. A calendar needed to be made to reflect this. Egypt made the first perfect calendar, one Moses was very familiar with, which had 12 - 30 day months and then 5 days at the end of the year that did not count. This is also seen in Enoch's calendar (see illustration on left).God's calendar was like the Egyptian one except that year no longer started on the first day of summer, but on the first day of spring. Springtime is the birth of the new year in nature, as morning is the start of the day as well. The term for new moon became "new month" as the new moons and new months no longer matched up. This is not hard to conceive as the English word for month comes from moon! Yet our months have nothing to do with new moons! The same applies to God's calendar.

(Eternity News) A prominent American politician has been quoting a Bible verse not found in the Bible. After US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi addressed leaders of Christian Colleges this week, Slate magazine reported on the “Scripture” that Pelosi likes to refer to.
“To minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us,” said Pelosi to the Christian leaders. Although Pelosi has quoted this “verse” about 11 times in US Congress since 2002, she admitted she has been unable to locate exactly where it’s from.

Genesis 1 which is translated: "In the beginning of"
1 In the beginning God (Elohim/Theos- The family of God) who is Jesus ( אֵת ('eth))* created the heavens and the earth.
Elohim: A generic name for God, can be used even for pagan gods. The word is uniplural. This means it is a group word like our word for "America." America is one nation, but name implies more than one individual. The Greek word for the same Hebrew world Elohim is Theos. Theos = Elohim. So the Old Testament in Greek uses the word Theos when speaking of the general word for God or Elohim. Whenever the word "God" is used, we put in ( ) (Elohim/Theos) or often we use (Elohim-The family of God), because that is really the true meaning of the word. There are many names for God in the Old Testament, that in English is rendered God, yet in the original comes from a multitude of other names. LORD comes from the Hebrew Yahweh or Jehovah***See note above. The Bible teaches that God is comprised of the Father and The Son (John 1:1; John 10:30; John 17:11; John 17:22; Rom 1:7; 1Cr 1:3; 1Cr 8:6, 2Cr 1:2; Gal 1:1; Eph 1:2; 1Th 3:11; 2Th 1:1; 2Th 1:2; 1Ti 1:2; 1Pe 1:2-3; 2Jo 1:3; Jud 1:1;). The doctrine of the TRINITY comes from pagan sources and is not taught in scripture.
In the beginning--a period of remote and unknown antiquity, hid in the depths of eternal ages; and so the phrase is used in Proverbs 8:22Proverbs 8:23 as well as John 1.
2 And the earth became a wasteland and void of life; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God (Elohim/Theos) hovered over the face of the waters.
"was" is translated became as all translations do for the same word in Genesis 19:26. Also, we know from Isa 45:18 that God does not create in vain, or in a formless and void context. God creates everything perfectly, hence we know the correct word is became! It should also be noted that this verse does not imply that the earth and universe were formed 6,000 years ago. It says that the earth was REFORMED recently in time (probably about 6,000 years ago). The earth may be millions if not billions of years old. God is Eternal, so there is no reason to suggest that the universe is new.
3 And God (Elohim/Theos) said, Let there be light: and there was light.
That "light" is not the sun! It is God appearing! God is light, wherever God is, there is light. (Rev 22:5). Also, unlike every other pagan religion, the one true GOD does not have to manually do something to create. He doesn't have to have sex to reproduce or anything physical. God merely speaks and it happens! Hence, God's word is the manifestation of their power! Side note, Jesus is the WORD of GOD....
4 And Jesus ( אֵת ('eth))*who is from God (Elohim-The family of God) saw the light, that it was good: and God (Elohim-The family of God) divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God (Elohim-The family of God) called the light Daytime, and the darkness was called Nighttime. And there was nighttime and then came morning, the end of the first day.
6 And God (Elohim-The family of God)said, Let there a be a sky in the middle of the waters, and let the sky divide the waters above the sky from the waters on earth.
7 And God (Elohim-The family of God) made the sky and the heavens, and divided the waters which were under the sky on earth from the waters which were above the sky: and it was so.
The water that was above the sky would be the same water to rain down on earth during the flood (Gen 7:11)
8 And God (Elohim-The family of God) called the sky Heaven. And there was nighttime and then morning, when the second day ended.
The Bible talks of three heavens: 1) The atmosphere around the earth 2) The universe where the stars are and 3) the place (unseen) where God lives presently.
9 And God (Elohim-The family of God) said, Now, let the waters under the heavens on earth be gathered together in one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10 And God (Elohim/Theos) called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called He called 'Seas': and God (Elohim-The family of God) saw that it was good.
11 And God (Elohim-The family of God) said, Let grass grow from the earth, with herbs yielding seed, and fruit-trees bearing fruit after their kind, Every seed will produce seeds after their own kind of plant: and it was so.
"After their kind" kind = species. This is important. This is a scientific fact that also shows the great error of evolution! Each species of living things can only reproduce after their own kind! Also see note for Gen 1:26 concerning man.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, vegetation yielding seeds after their kind, and trees with seeds, each according to its own kind: and God (Elohim/Theos) saw that it was good.
13 And there there was nighttime and then morning, the end of the third day.
14 And God (Elohim-The family of God) said, Let there be lights in space, also called the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years:
15 and let them be for lights in the sky of heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God (Elohim-The family of God) made the two great lights; the greater light to rule the daytime (the sun), and the lesser light to rule the night (the moon). He made the stars also.
Although the sun and moon were created on day four, the statement about the stars do not necessarily imply that the stars were made on day four! It would be like us saying that on the 4th of July 1776, Ben Franklin signed the Declaration of Independent and Franklin also invented bifocals. Although the words may infer Franklin invented the glasses on the 4th of July, he didn't. The words are placed there as added information about Ben! The same goes for the stars. God created the sun and moon on the fourth day, and he also created all the stars too. It doesn't say when!
17 And God (Elohim-The family of God) set them in heaven (or the universe) above to give light to the the earth,
18 and to rule over the day and the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was all good.
19 And there there was nighttime and then morning, and day four ended.
20 And God said, Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open space of heaven (the air-sky).
21 And God created the large sea creatures, every type of creature that swims around in the water and every type of flying bird. God saw that they were good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.
23 And there there was nighttime and then morning, the end of the fifth day.
24 And God (Elohim-The family of God) said, Let the earth bring forth living animals after their kind, cattle, and creeping things, and beasts of the earth after their own kind: and it was so.
"animals" or creatures is the same word that the KJV translates "soul" only when referring to the creation of man. The word should never be translated soul, but creature or animal.
25 And God (Elohim-The family of God) made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps upon the ground after its kind: and God (Elohim/Theos) saw that it was good.
"After their kind" This is important. This is a scientific fact that also shows the great error of evolution! Each species of living things can only reproduce after their own kind! Also see note for Gen 1:26 concerning man.
26 And God (Elohim-The family of God) said, Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on earth.
"In our image!" God is the English translation of Elohim, meaning more than one God! This is why this verse is translated, "Let us" and not "Let me." The "US" refers to Jesus Christ (the WORD of God) and The FATHER. Even Jewish translation of this verse render it "Let us!" They claim the "Us" are other angels, a claim that cannot stand scrutiny. (Psalm 110:1-2)
27 And God (Elohim-The family of God) created man in His own image, in the image of God (Elohim/Theos) He created man; a male and a female.
Unlike the animals who are created in their own image, mankind is created in God's image, after the God-kind. We are made like the animals, composed of the same matter as an animal, but we look and think and reason like God! We are created to become God! (Psa 82:6)
28 And God (Elohim-The family of God) blessed them: and God (Elohim/Theos) said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.
The first commandment given to man was to have SEX! Yes, God is the author of SEX and sex is a gift from God. It is when a man and woman come together in sex are they ONE, as Jesus and the Father are one! The sex act is the physical symbol of our oneness with God. This is why God likens worshipping other gods as adultery! When we follow paganism, we are committing adultery against God! Sex is not the original sin, or dirty in any way, when we follow God's command on righteous, moral heavenly sex!
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you plants that have grain for seeds and trees whose fruits have seeds in them. They will be your food.
30and to every animal on earth, and to every bird in heaven, and to every living thing that creeps on the ground, I have given every green herb for food: and it was so.
31 And God (Elohim/Theos) saw everything that He had made, and, behold, it was very good. And there there was nighttime and then morning, the sixth day.
The sixth day ended at dawn, however like today, the actual work ended at evening time when we go to sleep. This is probably where the idea that the Sabbath began on Friday evening. It does not, even though for most our work ends then.
