Europe's worst drought in centuries reveals WWII Nazi wrecks in Serbia

The worst drought in Europe in decades in Serbia has not only affected agriculture. It has also revealed almost forgotten relics of World War II in the shape of German battleships emerging from the Danube.

The ships, some still laden with munition, belonged to Nazi Germany's Black Sea fleet that was deliberately sunk by the Germans as they retreated from Romania as Soviet forces advanced.

The unusually hot weather across Europe this summer -- which scientists have linked to global warming -- and other factors have affected the Danube, Europe's second-longest river that flows through 10 nations. Authorities in Serbia have used dredging to keep vessels moving.

Historians say up to 200 German warships were scuttled in September 1944 near Prahovo in the Danube gorge known as The Iron Gate on the orders of the fleet's commander as they came under heavy fire from the Soviets.

The idea behind the deliberate sinking was to at least slow down the Soviet advance in the Balkans. But it didn't help as Nazi Germany surrendered months later, in May 1945.

The wrecks appearing from the depths are an impressive sight, but they have caused decades of trouble for those using the river, and now the Serbian government, with EU support, is planning to do something about them.

The Psychology of Totalitarianism

"After Robert Malone talked about mass formation on the Joe Rogan Experience, the term became a buzz word and for a few days was the most searched for term on Twitter. Since then, my theory has met with enthusiasm..."

BY   ~ The Brownstone Institute

At the end of February 2020, the global village began to shake on its foundations. The world was presented with a foreboding crisis, the consequences of which were incalculable. In a matter of weeks, everyone was gripped by the story of a virus—a story that was undoubtedly based on facts. But on which ones?

We caught a first glimpse of “the facts” via footage from China. A virus forced the Chinese government to take the most draconian measures. Entire cities were quarantined, new hospitals were built hastily, and individuals in white suits disinfected public spaces. Here and there, rumors emerged that the totalitarian Chinese government was overreacting and that the new virus was no worse than the flu. Opposite opinions were also floating around: that it must be much worse than it looked, because otherwise no government would take such radical measures. At that point, everything still felt far removed from our shores and we assumed that the story did not allow us to gauge the full extent of the facts.

Until the moment that the virus arrived in Europe. We then began recording infections and deaths for ourselves. We saw images of overcrowded emergency rooms in Italy, convoys of army vehicles transporting corpses, morgues full of coffins. The renowned scientists at Imperial College confidently predicted that without the most drastic measures, the virus would claim tens of millions of lives. In Bergamo, sirens blared day and night, silencing any voice in a public space that dared to doubt the emerging narrative. From then on, story and facts seemed to merge, and uncertainty gave way to certainty.

It didn’t stop there. We also saw a remarkable transfer of power. Expert virologists were called upon as Orwell’s pigs—the smartest animals on the farm—to replace the unreliable politicians. They would run the animal farm with accurate (“scientific”) information. But these experts soon turned out to have quite a few common, human flaws. In their statistics and graphs they made mistakes that even “ordinary” people would not easily make. It went so far that, at one point, they counted all deaths as corona deaths, including people who had died of, say, heart attacks.

James O'Keefe of Project Veritas Launches New Education Series of Indoctrination (Video)

Project Veritas released the first video in its newly launched Education Series today exposing a senior official at a prominent public school.

Jeremy Boland, who serves as Cos Cob Elementary School’s Assistant Principal, was recorded bragging about how he oversees the hiring of teachers who will disseminate “progressive” political ideas in the classrooms.

Here are some of the highlights from today’s video:

  • Jeremy Boland, Assistant Principal of Cos Cob Elementary School: “Believe it or not, the open-minded, more progressive teachers are actually more savvy about delivering a Democratic message without really ever having to mention politics.”
  • Boland: “So, it's subtle. They [teachers I hire] will never say, ‘Oh, this is [a] liberal or a Democratic way of doing this.’ They'll just make that the norm -- and this is how we handle things, it's subtle…That's how you get away with it.”
  • Boland: “The conservative [teacher], who is stuck in her ways. I’ll never be able to fire her, and I’ll never be able to change her. So, I make an impact with the next teacher I hire.”
  • Boland: “Protestants in this area [of Connecticut] are probably the most liberal. But if they’re Catholic -- conservative…You don’t hire them.”
  • Boland: “If someone is raised hardcore Catholic, it’s like, they’re brainwashed -- you can never change their mindset.”
  • Boland: “For one position, I think we had 30 applicants. So out of all those applicants, I don’t think I interviewed anybody over the [age] of 30…the older you get, the more set in your ways -- the more conservative you get.”
  • Connecticut Law, Section 46A-60B1, specifically bars discriminatory employment practices. A violation occurs if anyone refuses to hire or employ people “because of the individual’s race, color, religious creed, age, sex, gender identity or expression.”

The question remains: how many students have been adversely affected by Boland’s hiring practices?

Further, how many schools across the country have administrators just like Boland?

    Stay Tuned…

New Mexico man charged with aiding ISIS, training recruits

WorldIsraelNews.com

A New Mexico man has been arrested and charged with trying to provide material support to the Islamic State terrorist group and shutting down an online platform that could have tied two other men to similar charges.

Herman Leyvoune Wilson, 45, of Albuquerque, was arrested Friday and will remain in custody pending a scheduled Tuesday arraignment in federal court, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Mexico said. Wilson’s newly appointed federal public defender did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment on the charges.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office statement said Wilson, also known as Bilal Mu’Min Abdullah, was indicted earlier in the week by a federal grand jury on the charges related to the Islamic State group, a U.S. designated foreign terrorist organization.

Federal prosecutors believe Wilson was trying to establish an “Islamic State Center” in New Mexico that would teach Islamic State group ideology, provide martial arts training and serve as a haven for people preparing to fight for the group in the U.S. and abroad.

Two men arrested in September 2020 for providing material support to the Islamic State testified that Wilson had radicalized them to the group’s ideology. Prosecutors say that afterward Wilson allegedly shut down an online platform that could have tied the men to his group.

Kristopher Matthews and Jaylin Molina were arrested for providing material support to the Islamic State group and later pleaded guilty to that charge in the Western District of Texas. Prosecutors accused them of plotting to bomb or shoot up sites including the White House and Trump Tower in New York City.

The men were later convicted by a U.S. court in Texas. Matthews, 36, of South Carolina, was recently sentenced to 20 years in prison, and Molina, 24, of Cost, Texas, got 18 years.

Mikhail Gorbachev dead at 91: Final leader of the Soviet Union allowed 'glasnost' free speech, helped end the Cold War and bring down the Iron Curtain - but then saw his own superpower crumble

Gorbachev won the 1990 Nobel Peace Prize for his role in ending the Cold War and spent his later years collecting accolades and awards from all corners of the world.

  • Mikhail Gorbachev - the last leader of the Soviet Union - has died in a Moscow hospital aged 91
  • Gorbachev helped bring the Cold War to an end and failed to prevent the collapse of the USSR
  • Under his rule, the Iron Curtain which had divided Europe since the Second World War disintegrated
  • He became general secretary of the Soviet Communist Party in 1985 committed to reforming the system
  • But many Russians never forgave Gorbachev for the turmoil his liberalising reforms unleashed
  • Ronald Reagan and Gorbachev at the historic 1986 summit in Reykjavik, Iceland

Daily Mail (UK),

Mikhail Gorbachev - the last leader of the USSR whose failure to prevent the collapse of the Soviet Union after the Cold War is despised by Russian nationalists including Vladimir Putin - has died at the age of 91, Russian news agencies cited hospital officials as saying.

The Central Clinical Hospital in Moscow said that the former Soviet leader died 'after a serious and long illness' but gave no other details, according to the Interfax, TASS and RIA Novosti news agencies.

Gorbachev had been suffering from long term kidney problems and was on dialysis - and had been confined to a clinic during the Covid pandemic.

Though in power less than seven years, Gorbachev unleashed a series of reforms that resulted in breathtaking changes, including the reunification of Germany, the collapse of Stalin's empire, the liberation of Eastern European nations including Poland, Ukraine and the Baltic republics from decades of Russian domination, and the end of the nuclear confrontation with the West.

In a statement, Putin's spin doctors said the Russian President - who has called the collapse of the USSR the 'greatest geopolitical catastrophe' of the 20th century and a 'major humanitarian tragedy' - expresses 'deep sympathies' over Gorbachev's death. Other world leaders including Prime Minister Boris Johnson and EU chiefs hailed the former Soviet general secretary as 'trusted and respected'.

US braces for a battering by THREE potential hurricanes in September

US braces for a battering by THREE potential hurricanes in September - including one that could spoil Labor Day for millions - after boiling August which saw no named storms for only the third time in 60 years

image from i.dailymail.co.uk

For the first time since 1982, there has not been a single named storm anywhere in the Atlantic between July 3 and the penultimate week of August. The quiet period could soon end, however: three potential storms are currently being monitored with a chance of hitting the U.S. The nearest storm as of Monday was described by the National Hurricane Center as being in the Central Tropical Atlantic, and they estimate the chance of it becoming a hurricane within five days at 80 percent (pictured, and video). Two more follow: one 600 miles east of Bermuda as of 2pm EDT on Monday, given a 10 percent chance of becoming a hurricane, and the third off the west coast of Africa, given a 30 percent chance of strengthening to a hurricane in the next five days.

FBI special agent who opened Trump investigation reportedly escorted out of Bureau

Former FBI Washington Field Office Assistant Special Agent in Charge Tim Thibault was reportedly escorted out of the bureau on Friday, amid whistleblower allegations that he showed political bias in his handling of politically sensitive investigations.

See the source image

Image from TheTrumpet.com

(JustTheNews) The Washington Times reported eyewitness accounts that "Mr. Thibault was seen exiting the bureau’s elevator last Friday escorted by two or three 'headquarters-looking types.'" The article appears to have been updated and now states that Thibault "abruptly resigned" but that he was "forced to leave his post" and cites two unnamed former FBI officials.

Just the News was unable to independently confirm the Times' report.

Whistleblowers alleged that Thibault concealed the partisan nature of evidence from FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland to secure their approval to open an investigation into former President Donald Trump in 2020 unrelated to the raid, according to information made public by Sen. Charles Grassley.

Those whistleblower allegations have raised questions about the bureau as it also deals with the fallout of the raid on Trump's home earlier this month.

TIMELINE: 'Convenient' events suggest THIS is really why FBI raided Mar-a-Lago (VIDEO)

BlazeTV

What kind of classified documents was the FBI looking for when it raided former President Donald Trump's Florida home? Was it nuclear secrets, as the media has suggested, or just any and all classified documents? The Justice Department has now released the affidavit that purportedly lays out the evidence used to obtain the warrant for the Mar-a-Lago raid, but the material is so heavily redacted that very little information has actually been released.

So, Glenn Beck took to the chalkboard to break down the timeline of the events that lead up to the Mar-a-Lago raid and revealed that there were a whole lot of "convenient" coincidences that all revolved around one thing: Trump's attempt to declassify materials related to the FBI's Crossfire Hurricane investigation.

Beverly Hills store bans masks over robbery fears (video)

(KTLA NEWS) A store in Beverly Hills is banning masks during its regular business hours because of a string of robberies in the area.

The owner of Kitson, located on Robertson Boulevard, says that they’ve noticed an increase in people looking to steal while wearing masks to avoid being identified. They say people have also been coming into the store to harass and even physically assault others while also wearing face masks.

Employees there say the abundance of masks mixed with a rising number of brazen robberies and regular shoplifting has made the job a lot harder.

“You have to have the awareness and understand the motivation, or at least the signs of somebody who is planning to steal,” said Santos Hemenway, an employee at the store. “I used to be a little more lax, but now, I’ve got to be on all guards. It’s definitely changed in the last in the last year so.”

Earlier this summer, the city of Beverly Hills announced it would not enforce a local mask mandate were Los Angeles County to reinstate one. Currently, there are no mandatory indoor mask mandates for any cities in Los Angeles County, although health officials are still continuing to encourage their use inside public places.

As for shoppers at Kitson, people who still want to mask up while they’re shopping are welcome to set up an appointment to stop by.

NASA ready to launch Artemis 1 - its most powerful rocket EVER - as it prepares to return Americans to the surface of the Moon

NASA prepares to launch Artemis 1 as it prepares to return Americans to the surface of the

The first Moon rocket launched by NASA since 1973 is expected to take off as early as August 29 from the Kennedy Space Center on Florida's coast. NASA is preparing the launch of the unmanned Space Launch System rocket and Orion capsule as part of the agency's Artemis I mission which plans to put American astronauts back on the surface of the moon. This mission is a testing ground for the technologies that could eventually lead to a landing on Mars. At the center of Artemis I is the Space Launch System aka SLS, NASA's biggest rocket project since Saturn V. The SLS launch is scheduled to take place at 8.33am Eastern time on August 29 from launchpad 39B. The launch has a two-hour window. Should weather delay the launch passed the window, the other possible dates for take-off are September 2 and 5. If everything goes to plan, NASA expects to launch Artemis II in 2023, a manned flyby of the Moon's surface before landing American astronauts on the surface in 2025 as part of Artemis III.

GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene says woke mob is trying to get police to 'MURDER' her

GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene says woke mob is trying to get police to 'MURDER' her by swatting her twice at her home after she spoke out against trans treatments for kids

GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene fears woke troublemakers want her dead after she was 'swatted' by cops twice in a week after speaking out against transgender treatments for children. Speaking on RSB Saturday, Taylor Greene said: 'Can you believe people want to kill me because I want to protect kids from a surgery that permanently changes them for the rest of their lives?' 'Someone wanted to have the police murder me because I want to protect kids,' she said.' Taylor Greene was swatted at her home in Rome, Georgia, for the second time in a week on Thursday morning, after the swatter claimed there'd been a shooting at the lawmaker's home, and that an armed suicidal person remained inside. Swatting sees a fake crime reported, in the hopes of triggering an armed police response which could potentially end in tragedy if the surprised victim reacts in a shocked or violent way. It is particularly dangerous for Americans who own guns - as Taylor Greene does. Someone picking up a firearm to defend themselves from what they believe to be an intruder could be shot dead by cops who believe they're arriving at the scene of a violent and ongoing crime.

I Am Not a Kook: Richard Nixon's Bizarre Visit to the Lincoln Memorial

English: Richard Nixon boarding Army One upon ...English: Richard Nixon boarding Army One upon his departure from the White House after resigning the office of President of the United States following the Watergate Scandal in 1974(Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Richard Nixon had some pretty strange moments as president -- an Oval Office meeting with Elvis Presley during which the pill-addled singer lobbied to be deputized as a federal agent-at-large in the War on Drugs; Nixon's declaration to a roomful of newspaper editors at the height of the Watergate scandal, "I am not a crook;" Nixon asking Henry Kissinger to kneel down and pray with him and then bursting into tears the night before he resigned.

But perhaps the most bizarre moment of the Nixon presidency took place in the early morning hours of May 9, 1970, during which Nixon, with his faithful White House butler in tow, made an impromptu visit to the Lincoln Memorial and engaged in a rambling dialogue with student protestors. The incident took place at a tumultuous time in the Nixon presidency, shortly after the invasion of Cambodia and the resulting explosion of outrage on college campuses, culminating in the killing of four students at Kent State University on May 4. Nixon's erratic behavior during the Lincoln Memorial visit would have even his closest aides wondering if the president was losing it. Nixon's Chief of Staff H. R. Haldeman would write in his diary hours after the Lincoln Memorial visit, "I am concerned about his condition," and note that Nixon's behavior that morning constituted "the weirdest day so far."

ANTONI: Make No Mistake About It, Biden’s Student Loan Plan Is A Handout For The Elite

image from images.dailycaller.com

E.J. Antoni

President Joe Biden’s student loan “cancellation” scheme is impolitic, unfair, expensive and irresponsible. The price tag will be about a half trillion dollars. Most of that money will go to upper income households.

Who will pay for it? It will cost the average taxpayer over $2,000, and most of those are people who never went to college, never borrowed money to go to school, or responsibly repaid their loans.

There are other problems as well. The move will fuel inflation and almost certainly encourage universities to hike their prices even higher. (RELATED: CARTER And PIDLUZNY: Student Loan ‘Forgiveness’ — Another Slight To Blue-Collar Workers)

And then there’s the legal question. It is unclear how the executive branch of government can even do this constitutionally. What authority does a president have to unilaterally tear up legally binding financial agreements and then shackle unwilling taxpayers with the fallout?

By Enrico ~ The Epoch Times

A group of independent German scientists found toxic components—mostly metallic—in all the COVID vaccine samples they analyzed, “without exception” using modern medical and physical measuring techniques.

The Working Group for COVID Vaccine Analysis says that some of the toxic elements found inside the AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Moderna vaccine vials were not listed in the ingredient lists from the manufacturers.

The following metallic elements were found in the vaccines:

  • Alkali metals: caesium (Cs), potassium (K)
  • Alkaline earth metals: calcium (Ca), barium (Ba)
  • transition metals: cobalt (Co), iron (Fe), chromium (Cr), titanium (Ti)
  • Rare earth metals: cerium (Ce), gadolinium (Gd)
  • Mining group/metal: aluminum (Al)
  • Carbon group: silicon (Si) (partly support material/slide)
  • Oxygen group: sulphur (S)

These substances, furthermore, “are visible under the dark-field microscope as distinctive and complex structures of different sizes, can only partially be explained as a result of crystallization or decomposition processes, [and] cannot be explained as contamination from the manufacturing process,” the researchers found.

The scientists claim that their results have been cross-confirmed using the following measuring techniques: “Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX), Mass Spectroscopy (MS), Inductively Coupled Plasma Analysis (ICP), Bright Field Microscopy (BFM), Dark Field Microscopy (DFM) and Live Blood Image Diagnostics, as well as analysis of images using Artificial Intelligence.”

The analysts explain that they have been cooperating with other groups in different countries that have been executing similar investigations and have obtained results consistent with their own.

“The results from our analysis of the vaccines can, consequently, be regarded as cross-validated,” the summary report of their findings states.

Nimrod, the Biblical Hunter

Shaul Wolf was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. He studied in Yeshiva Ohr Elchonon in Los Angeles and received his rabbinical ordination from the Central Chabad Yeshivah in Brooklyn, N.Y. He currently lives in Brooklyn where he studies and responds to questions for Ask the Rabbi @ Chabad.org.

Nimrod, the Biblical Hunter

“Ruthless killer.” “Merciless ruler.” “Chief idolator.” These are just some of the names that I’ve come to be known by. And that’s okay; I’ve gotten used to them. I’ll even admit that I kind of deserve them. Some of those titles, anyway.

Before you go calling me names, though, it’s only fair that you familiarize yourself with all the details . . .

Young Nimrod

I was born into a strange time, a kind of post-Flood era.1 Grandpa Ham had survived on the ark, and together with his family went about repopulating the world. The scene was fresh then, and people were ripe for all kinds of new ideas. I think I sensed this as a kid, and it laid the seeds for some interesting innovations that I brought about later on.

Being the youngest child, I received preferential treatment from my father, Cush. If you’ve read the opening chapters of Genesis, you are probably familiar with the special cloaks that G‑d had made for Adam and Eve. Well, they had somehow survived the Flood, had been stolen from Great-Grandpa Noah by Grandpa Ham, and had been given to Poppa Cush. Since I was his favorite, he entrusted them to me.2

One thing is for sure: They helped out with my popularity rates. Animals had this strange reaction to these garments: upon sight of them, they would fall helpless at my feet. As you can imagine, hunting competitions weren’t much of a challenge for me, and before I knew it I had attracted quite a sizeable following of fans and devotees.3

The Torah focuses on my hunting prowess in its depiction of me: “He was a mighty trapper before the L‑rd; therefore it is said, ‘Like Nimrod, a mighty trapper before the L‑rd.’”4

What’s with “before the L‑rd”? It’s kind of like saying “in the whole wide world” in Bible talk.5Nowadays, historians would write, “He was the mightiest hunter of his times,” which, mind you, is a description I’m not exactly ashamed of. (There are some other interpretations of “before the L‑rd”; we’ll get to them later.)

I know you’ve all heard rotten things about me, but, ironically, I started out as a devoutly religious person.6 Truth is, pretty much everyone back then was religious.7 The Flood was still fresh in people’s minds—I was born only 95 years after it ended—and no one was exactly looking for a repeat.

My cloak came in handy for religious purposes, too. I’d go out, hunt animals, and offer them as sacrifices to G‑d. Remember that I was called a “trapper before the L‑rd”? Some commentators understand this to be referring to my religious days, back when I was still on the straight and narrow.8

God is bigger than our storms

Exclusive: Greg Laurie points out each trial we face 'has a beginning, middle and end'

OIP

By Greg Laurie

Maybe you're going through a storm – a hardship, difficulty, or perhaps even a tragedy. It's a powerful storm, and you feel like saying, just as the disciples did, "Do You not care that we are perishing?" (Mark 4:38 NKJV) In other words, "Don't you care that I'm in trouble right now? Are you even paying attention?"

Storms will come into our lives. Sometimes God himself will send the storm, as he did in the case of Jonah, who was disobedient to him. God told Jonah to go and preach to the city of Nineveh, and Jonah said no. We might say that Jonah was the original chicken of the sea, going the wrong direction and running from God.

But God always has the last word. He sent a mighty storm, and it was through the storm that he got Jonah's attention.

Like Jonah, we can sometimes bring storms on ourselves because of our disobedience. You might be in a situation right now where you're effectively reaping the consequences of your actions. Maybe you're asking, "Why is this happening to me?"

Affidavit: ‘National Security’ NOT Cited by DOJ Among Reasons for Redactions

The Department of Justice (DOJ) did not cite national security as one of the reasons for redacting information in the affidavit for the Mar-a-Lago raid, which was released on Friday

Police direct traffic outside an entrance to former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate, Monday, Aug. 8, 2022, in Palm Beach, Fla. Trump said in a lengthy statement that the FBI was conducting a search of his Mar-a-Lago estate and asserted that agents had broken open a safe. (AP Photo/Terry Renna)

The government’s “five categories of information that must remain under seal in order to protect the safety of multiple civilian witnesses” did not include national security:

The categories, described further below, are (1) information from a broad range of civilian witnesses who may be subject to “witness intimidation or retaliation,” D.E. 80 at 9; (2) information regarding investigative avenues and techniques that could provide a roadmap for potential ways to obstruct the investigation, id. at 9-10; (3) information whose disclosure is prohibited under Rule 6(e) of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure (“Rule 6(e)”), such as grand jury subpoenas, testimony, and related material, id. at 10; (4) information whose disclosure could risk the safety of law enforcement personnel, id. at 9; and (5) information _whose disclosure could harm “legitimate privacy interests” of third parties.

The Washington Post had reported earlier this month that “nuclear documents” might be among the materials the DOJ sought and seized at Mar-a-Lago, raising the stakes.

Vegetarian's Do Kill Animals Too! Why We Do - What We Do!

VegetarianismVegetarianism (Photo credit: Marius!!)

By Bob Barney

I have found that vegetarians give one common reason for giving up meat and that is the conviction that animals have the right to life just as we humans do. Even though they have a sincere belief in preserving animal life, most do not realize that this belief is based on a liberal cause. Unfortunately, this is a cause based on a lack of understanding of how food is produced or for that matter, how anything is produced.  We cannot deny it, we live in a ready-made world. We go to work from 9-5 and we buy everything we need from a store that offers products with origins from hundreds if not thousands of miles away.  Most of us today have no clue as to what it takes to grow an apple, or to grow wheat or corn and yes, to even grow beef! We don't know how or where our clothes are made and by what sort of forced labor entity as we are blissfully ignorant of the world around us.  You see, one must be ignorant of reality in order to be a liberal. You will never find a liberal on a deserted island or living amongst natives in some wilderness setting. Liberals don't live very long in such environments once their beloved “nature” takes control of their destinies.

Being a vegetarian means that you are not responsible for the killing of any animal, right?

The Plain Truth is that not one single souls' hand is free from the blood of animals and that includes vegetarians!   Did you know that millions of animals are killed every year to prepare the land for growing some of the very crops that are the staples of a vegetarian diet? Soybean, corn, and barley just to name a few as well as a whole host of 'organic' foods.  The animals killed in many cases are mice, moles, rabbits and more. They lose their habitat and are run over by the very tractors that make a way for farming. They may be unintended victims of agriculture, but they are still victims in the end.  Are their lives any less sacred than say, a goat? Here is an honest question that deserves an honest answer, "What makes it acceptable to kill the animals of the field so that we can eat veggies but makes it not acceptable to kill venison, fish, chickens or cows?"  The cold hard facts are that any disruption of the land whether it be to farm or to build homes and malls, reduces the amount of land left for other animals and results in their untimely demise.

Any vegetarian that consumes dairy, eggs and wears woolen garments may think that they aren't contributing to the slaughtering of animals for their goods and that may be true in theory, but the fact is, they are!  All modern farmers trying to eke out a living providing cheap food are not just going to let their animals die of old age; they kill them at whatever point the farm considers to be the most profit-maximizing. For dairy cows, that’s usually at age 3-5, out of a natural 20–25-year lifespan. For egg-laying hens, it’s usually after one or two laying cycles. And since the males of the laying species are useless to the egg farmer, they’re killed right after they hatch; these are the cold hard facts.

English: Dairy heifers The milking dairy cows ...English: Dairy heifers The milking dairy cows are in for the winter now, but as the weather is fair the heifers (young females) are still outside. When they reach 350 / 400kg in weight they will put in calf and 9 months later will begin their life as a dairy cow. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

A vegetarian diet must kill far fewer animals than an omnivore diet, right?

Not always! Here is an example:  Eggs. While you only need to kill one single cow to get about 450 pounds (405,000 calories) worth of meat, you’d need to kill about 20 chickens to get enough eggs to match that number of calories. So, if you’re a vegetarian who eats a lot of omelets, you’re likely responsible for more animal deaths than someone who chows down on burgers and steaks but doesn’t like eggs! I bet you never thought of that, did you?

Here is a link for you to look at and find some more information:

I’ve scrounged up data on the typical amount of meat, eggs, and dairy that we get out of a modern farm animal and combined it with data on the calorie counts of those foods. Doing this has allowed me to calculate the number of calories of food that we get out of each type of animal, or more to the point, the “lives-per-calorie” statistic for each food. The results are below, with the foods ordered from “kills the fewest animals per calorie” to “kills the most animals per calorie.” All numbers are approximate, of course, but they’re from as recent and as reliable a source as I could find. (Detailed citations are at the end of this post).

The yield for a laying hen over its lifetime is actually about 550 eggs, but I’ve divided it by two because approximately one male chick is killed for each laying hen.

The lives-per-calories cost of eggs is so many times higher than that of beef that even a small amount of eggs outweighs the life cost of a larger amount of beef. Let’s say you’re a vegetarian and you go out to lunch with your omnivorous friend, where he orders a burger, and you order an egg-salad sandwich. The two eggs in your sandwich are only 150 calories, compared to the 300 calories in his beef patty, but the eggs cost almost 9 times as much life as the beef.

 In Summary

Of course, as I said earlier, these calculations are only concerned with the question of the taking of animals’ lives and they are not taking into account the amount of suffering the animals unfortunately experience. Such a statistic would change the calculations somewhat, but I suspect the overall verdict would remain similar if you were looking at suffering-per-calorie – or, if anything, things would look even grimmer for egg-lovers. Laying hens arguably lead some of the most miserable lives out of all livestock, spending all their time crammed into cages with less space than half a piece of paper, having their beaks cut off, and being starved to induce molting. (Although the male chicks would count less if you’re looking at suffering-per-calorie, since their lives are so short.)

These calculations also don’t take into account impact on the environment. Raising beef is pretty clearly the worst industry in terms of things like producing greenhouse gasses, breeding antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and requiring huge amounts of farmland just to feed the cattle. Right there may be a good case for choosing eggs over beef in the sense of minimizing your environmental impact, but that doesn’t change the fact that you’d be making a tradeoff of killing more animals to hurt the environment less.

According to the USDA, the average dairy cow produced 21,000 lbs. of milk last year, and according to several sources, the average dairy cow is culled from the herd after about 3 years, so I multiplied 21,000*3 to get the average amount of milk produced over the lifetime of a dairy cow. It takes about 1 gallon of milk to produce 1 lb of cheese, and there are about 8.5 lbs. of milk per gallon, so I divided 63,000 lbs by 8.5 to get the 7,400 lbs. of cheese figure.

The figures on beef and pork come from the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture~
The average number of eggs per laying hen per year comes from the USDA, and I multiplied by two because that’s the most common figure I found for the number of laying cycles. The average weight of a broiler chicken I got from the USDA’s annual Poultry Slaughter publication.

And by the way, don't harmful insects have the same right to life as humans? Are most vegetarians willing to eat apples with worms in them and if they are, what do they do with that live worm when they find it?

And if insect lives are as valuable as a human, how about bacteria. Bacteria is animal life. In order for vegetarians to digest their wholesome organic grains and grasses, trillions, of bacteria get killed in the process!  So, you better stop taking those pro-biotics, because you are brutally slaughtering animal life.

One last point

Iron.  Most are unaware, (especially vegetarians that focus on plant eating), that the iron found in spinach often comes from the fertilizer made up of, you guessed it ~ BLOOD from cows. This is an organic way to get the iron back in to depleted dirt!

Seriously, it's about time we stop falling for the liberal lies we were raised on. Both conservatives and liberals have been fed a bunch of them and we need to start using the brain God gave us and start thinking about why we do what we do!

Why does the West condemn some terrorism, but condone it on other occasions?

News that Syrian terrorists groups such as Tahrir Al-Sham, the former Jabhat Al-Nusra outfit, have entered Ukraine to fight the Russian Army on behalf of the neo-Nazi Ukrainian Army, is very confusing. We have been led to believe for years that the western powers led by the US are fighting terrorism across the globe, and yet here we have a bunch of known terrorists basically joining the West on the side of Ukraine against Russia.

Groups demonised by the US, such as Daesh and Al-Qaeda, are the most hated and dangerous terrorist outfits in the world; the common understanding is that the "free world" must fight and destroy them. In the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, the then US President George W Bush declared to the world that, "You are either with us or with the terrorists"; one or the other; no middle ground. Designated terrorist groups became Public Enemy Number One overnight.

Now we see the US and its Western allies giving designated terrorists free passage to go to Ukraine to fight the Russians. Why aren't these fighters being detained and hauled off to the International Criminal Court? Hypocrisy is not too harsh a word to describe what is happening, which discredits the whole "war on terror" mantra that the West has been chanting for two decades.

It defies logic to fight terrorists when it suits you, and use them when it suits you. Such groups as Daesh and Jabhat Al-Nusra are well known for their cruelty in Syria, to the extent that their claim to be representative of the faith of Islam is doubted by Muslims. They have been disowned by almost all Muslim leaders, regardless of which branch of Islam they belong to. They need to be apprehended and taken before the ICC in The Hague; there is no reason or excuse for this not to happen. And yet… there they are in Ukraine, fighting on the same side as the West.
