You know that the Bible is filled ancient wisdom regarding everything from family relationships to business leadership, but you may not have known that God’s Word also tells us exactly how we should eat if are looking to live a long, healthy life. In fact, God promised access to these healing foods as proof of the fulfillment of His promises the Israelites.

Deuteronomy 8:7-8 states, “For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, flowing forth in valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey.”

The Plain Truth was on the factual side of the covid scare.  Do a web search on The Plain Truth and COVID hysteria.  We warned that everything the media was telling you was a lie. Fox News lied as much as the rest.  Doctors lied.  Politicians lied, and China was blamed for a pandemic that did not exist. A man made (probably American-made) pandemic at that!  Dr Mercola writes:

        Do you really understand your risk of dying from COVID-19? According to The Hill,¹ a poll taken in mid-August 2020 showed “Americans have a significant misunderstanding of the risk of death from COVID-19 when it comes to different age groups.”

        On average, Americans were under the impression that people under the age of 44 made up about 30% of deaths, when the actual figure was less than 3%. At the time, 58% of those polled who were between the ages of 18 and 24 also said they feared “significant health consequences” were they to get infected, when in reality this age group accounted for a mere 0.1% of COVID deaths.

        Similar stats were found in April 2021, when the Washington Examiner reported on polls showing “COVID-19 alarmism” had resulted in 18- to 24-year-olds being the “most anxious about resuming normal life — despite being by far the least at risk from COVID-19.”²

        At the time, the reported death rate among this group was 0.006%, yet half reported being nervous about interacting socially. Meanwhile, in the highest-risk group, those 55 and older, only 31% were nervous about social interactions; 65% were not.

        Has anything changed? Anecdotally, it seems mask wearers these days are primarily young (and seemingly healthy) people, while the majority of older individuals have embraced the freedom to breathe freely again.

        Based on a new preprint analysis by professor John Ioannidis, there’s really no reason for anyone to live in fear anymore, regardless of your age, as your risk of dying from COVID is — and always was — minuscule across the board.

Ioannidis’ paper,^3,4 posted on the preprint server medRxiv October 13, 2022, looked at pre-jab national seroprevalence studies to ascertain the age-stratified infection fatality rate (IFR) of COVID-19 in people between the ages of birth and 69. As noted in the abstract:

“The infection fatality rate (IFR) of COVID-19 among non-elderly people in the absence of vaccination or prior infection is important to estimate accurately, since 94% of the global population is younger than 70 years and 86% is younger than 60 years.

In systematic searches in SeroTracker and PubMed ... we identified 40 eligible national seroprevalence studies covering 38 countries with pre-vaccination seroprevalence data.

For 29 countries (24 high-income, 5 others), publicly available age-stratified COVID-19 death data and age-stratified seroprevalence information were available and were included in the primary analysis.”

Here are two speeches, of many. Long, sometimes tedious, we have highlighted important aspects of his words, but please take the time to read and understand what this man had to say. His words were from God, he was a prophet, military genius and one of the greatest American of the 20th century.  MacArthur also cautioned the young President Kennedy to avoid a U.S. military build-up in Vietnam, pointing out that domestic problems should be given a much greater priority. Kennedy was said to have come out of the more than three-hour meeting 'stunned' and 'enormously impressed'. Unfortunately, the President didn't listen to his warning and 59,000 Americans paid the price. MacArthur and his second wife, Jean Faircloth, spent the last years of their life together in the Penthouse of the Waldorff-Astoria.

After his death Jean continued to live in the Penthouse until her death. The couple are entombed together in downtown Norfolk, Virginia; their burial site is in the rotunda of a memorial building/museum (formerly the Norfolk city hall) dedicated to his memory, and there is a major shopping mall (MacArthur Center) named for him across the street from the memorial. According to the museum, General MacArthur chose to be buried in Norfolk because of his mother's ancestral ties to the city. Today, literally hundreds of millions of people owe their freedom, their way of life, and there prosperity to this great man.

Ironically most of these people do not know it, or even know his name today. He wrote the Constitution of Japan, which forbade that country to ever have a military again. Because of weak leadership from the United States, we are today witnessing Japan rearming themselves, something the General was worried about ever happening again.

Japan's wealth and security is because of this man alone!  Many today deride the General, call him a demagogue. He was vain, arrogant and sometimes aloof, but what separates him from those monsters like Hitler who have some of those same attributes is his belief in the true God, and God's divine guidance over him and this nation. He knew it, and trusted it. Once when his staff were dodging bullets, scrambling for safety behind a jeep, they peered out to see MacArthur, standing tall and totally unafraid of the situation.... "Doesn't he think he can get killed? " a staffer asked the other.

The instant reply from his aide in horror, "Goddamn it, of course he does'nt!"

When his wife asked him (after failing to win the nomination for President) "What kind of President will Mr. Eisenhower make?"  He replied... "I think a good one! He was the best orderly that ever worked for me!"

Today, his prophetic words are haunting now more than ever....

Anglican: "There is no word, no hint, in the New Testament about abstaining from work on Sunday.... Into the rest of Sunday [i.e., Sunday as a day of rest and worship] no divine law enters.... The observance of Ash Wednesday or Lent stands on exactly the same footing as the observance of Sunday."

Lutheran:  

"They [the Catholics] allege the Sabbath changed into Sunday, the Lord's day, contrary to the decalogue, as it appears, neither is there any example more boasted of than the changing of the Sabbath day. Great, they say, is the power and authority of the church, since it dispensed with one of the Ten Commandments." Authored by Philipp Melanchthon with approval by Martin Luther, Augsburg Confession of Faith, Art. 28, Par. 9.

But they err in teaching that Sunday has taken the place of the Old Testament Sabbath and therefore must be kept as the seventh day had to be kept by the children of Israel. In other words, they insist that Sunday is the divinely appointed New Testament Sabbath, and so they endeavor to enforce the Sabbatical observance of Sunday by so-called blue laws.... These churches err in their teaching, for Scripture has in no way ordained the first day of the week in place of the Sabbath. There is simply no law in the New Testament to that effect." John T. Mueller, Sabbath or Sunday?, pp. 15,16.

  Congregationalist:

"It must be confessed that there is no law in the New Testament concerning the first day." Buck's Theological Dictionary.

Baptist:     "To me [it] seems unaccountable that Jesus, during three years' intercourse with His disciples, often conversing with them upon the Sabbath question.... never alluded to any transference of the day; also that during forty days of His resurrection life, no such thing was intimated.

"Of course, I quite well know that Sunday did come into use in early Christian history as a religious day, as we learn from the Christian Fathers and other sources. But what a pity that it comes branded with the mark of paganism, and christened with the name of the sun god, when adopted and sanctioned by the papal apostasy, and bequeathed as a sacred legacy to Protestantism!" Dr. Edward T. Hiscox, author of The Baptist Manual (still in print), in a paper read before New York ministers' conference held Nov. 13, 1893.

Catholic:   Q. Which is the Sabbath day?    A. Saturday is the Sabbath day.

Q. Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?

A. We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.

One of the key aspects of The Plain Truth website is our statement of belief that God, the God of the Bible, has His unseen hand behind many world events.  This doesn’t mean that we believe that everything that happens in the world has God’s fingerprints on it, but we do believe (because the Bible tells us), that many things in the news are attributable to God working out His plan on earth of His eventual return to earth. This very plan of His return is promised to us in the pages of the Bible!  So, you can see, this is why are mission is to bring local, national, and world news to you and whenever possible, show everyone how these stories have to do with God.

Most of the readers of this site I am sure, believe in God yet due to the skepticism found in modern thought and the evolution-based contemporary educational system, most of us do not attribute much of what's happening to Him.  This is not the case however when we are dealing in our own personal matters, especially when in times of deep trouble, drama, death and despair; most of us go to God in prayer for guidance and salvation.  No one would fault someone praying to God to save the life of their child however if a world leader was to ask for a prayer to solve a war, that person would be ridiculed beyond comprehension.  It seems that God matters more to us in personal and private matters than He does in the world and on national matters read about in newspapers and/or watched on our TVs every day.

In an earlier article, I mentioned the fact that God does not have that much to do with this modern world.  I know that’s a shocking and almost unbelievable statement to make but it’s exactly what the Bible says.  According to the bible, the identity of the god of this world is none other than Lucifer, known as Satan the devil. When you read the Bible, it is the exception for only few and extraordinary or lucky people in the past, but God really has had little to do with the daily running of man‘s society. 

Long before men existed on Earth, the Bible tells us that there was a world before the world of Adam and Eve.  Whenever I go into this subject most people are totally surprised to hear that I do not believe that the earth is 6000 years old as most fundamentalist Christians teach.

 Creation of the World

The Bible is very clear that there was a world before the flood, and that God re-created the world that we now live on today. Some of the misunderstanding comes from the translation of the modern English Bible. In Hebrew Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 reads a little different than is translated, and it can be proved. Let's look at, “in the beginning,” as the Bible begins, “God created the heavens and the earth.”  That event does not imply that in the very next paragraph immediately following that, the creation of the heavens and the earth.  The reason most misunderstand that timeframe is due to a mistranslation of the next verse, or actually the continuation of the first verse.  “And the world was formless and void.”  That’s how your Bible reads, but as I will show you it is not the right translation. The correct translation is “and the earth became formless and void.”  That is a major difference in the meaning of the first verse of Genesis chapter 1. Instead of thinking that God created the heavens and the earth, and the earth was formless and void, implying this happened all at once, the correct rendering of Genesis shows a time frame of the creation of this modern world.  How we should understand this scripture actually goes something like this: God thousands, if not millions or billions of years ago created the heavens and the earth, and we know that everything that God creates is created in a perfect state. God is not the author of confusion; God’s creative ability does not create confusion.  God created a world that was ruled by an Angel of light named Lucifer, the most beautiful angelic being in all of God’s creation.  The Bible tells us that Lucifer was created perfectly until lawlessness was founded in him.   Lucifer's Story

God placed Lucifer in command of this world as it’s King before Lucifer fell from glory. We see in some instances elsewhere in the Bible where Lucifer rebelled against God, goes to heaven to God’s own throne, and tries to dispose of God and become God himself.  Now there is something else that you have to understand in order to comprehend the word “God” in the Bible.  God is a pagan word for the deity of Germanic origin.  The original Hebrew word for God was the word Elohim. Elohim is a plural word.  The words church, school, family, group, and congregation are all plural words yet implying a singular form.  There is the Barney family.  The Barney family consists of more than one individual all with the last name “Barney “, just like there is a family called Jehovah or Yahweh, that collectively is known as Elohim or God in English. In the very first chapter of the book of John, we read the actual beginning of time. “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by Him; Furthermore, without Him was nothing made that was made……. and the Word was made flesh, and dwelt amongst us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

It is plain to see that the God that created the heavens and the earth was more than one being comprised of a God the father and a God the Word.  When we read in Genesis “and God said let there be light,” this is what It meant: The WORD who became Jesus Christ said, “let there be light” and God the Father made it happen.  The two do in fact work in unison as one and together in the creation of everything; One speaking and the other doing.  It’s like your brain thinks and speaks to itself to go buy some food and your body does the actual work.  It’s that simple.    Click Here for explanation of God's name

Getting back to the point of the creation of the earth, the idea that the earth became formless and void implies that it was at an earlier time in a perfect state.  As I will show you, Lucifer was in command of Earth before the earth we live on today was reformed.  Lucifer then went to war with the God and lost. He was cast down to earth and was banished from heaven.  Lucifer as we see in the book of Job can go to heaven to ask God’s permission to do certain things, but he cannot appear in heaven without approval.  At the time of this battle, the entire universe, which was created in perfection, was destroyed in a Star Wars type heavenly battle between God and His angels and Satan and his demons.  This is why there are craters on the moon. Scientists try to tell us that these craters were formed from meteors over billions of years, but that is a falsehood. No scientist has seen one crater occur throughout all histories! The reason is that the moon and the stars and the heavens were destroyed in a single moment of time long ago when Satan and his demons waged war against God and his angels to have lost and been cast down to earth until the end of time.

God then destroyed this earlier world with water. After many years, and the Bible does not tell us how long or how many years it was, God re-created both the heavens and the earth, allowing some of the scars to appear in heaven as a sign of this earlier war, and on earth in the form of ancient times before the time of Adam.  God then created mankind in their own image.  Notice the Bible says that God did not create man in his image, God said “let us create man in our image after our likeness after our own kind.” Unlike the animals that were created in their image after their own kind, thus giving a species of animals that can only mate within their own kind, man was not created after “the mankind.” We were created after the God kind.  I understand how impossible those words must seem, but it is what the Bible says.  We are God’s children. We look like God, we think, we feel, we sense, and we comprehend like God.  The Bible says that God has nostrils, the Bible says that God has ears that God has eyes, and that God has a face like ours, arms like ours and even feet!  We are now a little lower than the angels, but we will be greater than angels when we are resurrected from the dead and born again into the Kingdom of God. Born from our mortal bodies into our immortal spiritual bodies into the God family of Yahweh. (1 Cor 15)

Adam's sin made a Messiah necessary
 

Adam, sinned, and the definition of sin is breaking God’s laws. (1John 3:4)   The Devil became the first sinner, yet Adam and Eve became the first human sinners. If Adam did not sin and disobey God’s laws, Adam would have replaced Satan as the King and the ruler of Earth.  This is why we read in the New Testament that Jesus is called the second Adam (Romans 5:12).  Jesus came the first time as a man and not as God in order to prove to the everyone in heaven and on earth that man can follow God’s laws and live a sinless life.  This then qualified Jesus to replace Adam and to replace Satan as king and God of this world upon His return, as King of Kings and Lord of lords. (Romans 5:14 and 1 Cor. 15:45)

When Adam and Eve sinned against God, this first couple decided to hide from God in fear.  God walking through the garden, looked for Adam and called out to Adam, and wondered why Adam was hiding from Him.  Adam said that they were hiding because they knew they were naked, and then God knew that they had sinned. Since that time, except for certain chosen people, God has not been involved in the world as much as he would have been if man had obeyed Him.  Therefore, there were certain people that God called and chose to be his friend, to walk in the presence of the Almighty.  Noah, Abraham, David, and every single Christian that choose Christ over this world, are all God’s friend and are watched over daily by the Host of Heaven.  There are also people, the entire nation of Israel, the descendants of Jacob, that are also chosen by God and watched over by Him and protected throughout history. The Jews, from the tribe of Judah with some of the tribe of Benjamin and Levi included, know their identity. Unfortunately, the nations of England, France, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, and the United States of America do not realize that they are also Jacob’s children.  What has become known as the lost 10 tribes of Israel are these western nations with the British and the Americans mainly being from the tribe of Joseph. You cannot truly understand prophecies of the Bible if you do not know who the nations of the world are as they are identified in your Bible.  To understand world events today, one must know who the players are, and they are all mentioned in the Bible.  Yes, you can be a Christian, and be saved, for the lack of a better word, and become born-again on the day of resurrection into an immortal life, in the family of God, and never fully understand who anyone is in the world today.  In fact, you can live your entire life never understanding world events, the news, and everything going on including maybe your death, and as long as you have the blood of Jesus Christ forgiving your sins, you will be a part of God’s kingdom to come--You have made it!  However, when you are being put to death during the tribulation or times leading up to the tribulation, it might be nice to know why and who is responsible for your martyrdom!  The purpose of The Plain Truth is to give you that knowledge.

One really has to be an idiot not to believe in God, and an even bigger idiot to believe in God and not understand that God is in control of his people.  Therefore, any news agency, be it a newspaper, TV, radio or web site that does not include the hand of God, and the possibility of the hand of God in world events, is doing you no service whatsoever.  Fox News, CNN, the New York Times and all other media that do not include God in their news are simply leaving out the most important aspect of the world we live in.  We try, whenever possible, to give you the important news, much of which you will not read on any other website or media source, so you can truly understand why these things are happening and that there is a God involved in our lives.

For example, we know that the Middle East is the spot that Christ will return to and save us from ourselves in an event known as the battle of Armageddon.  So, whenever we see news from the Middle East, we must keep our eyes on those events in the light and knowledge and understanding of the Bible.  We know that the Bible predicts the revival of the fourth beast of Daniel (Daniel 2:40) and that beast is the Holy Roman Empire (Revelation Chapter 13), most likely under the leadership of Germany (Isaiah chapter 8 and Hosea 9:3). We know this because we know the identity of Germany is Assyria.

The End Times

The Bible says that in the end time the beast will be from Assyria.  We also know that the end time beast will be a 10-nation revival of the Holy Roman Empire, and since we know that France and the Netherlands are really part of lost Israel, they can never be leaders in this union. Just like in World War II, they will be conquered by the beast, but they will never be the beast.

We also know from the Bible that eventually the entire Arab world will be ruled by an end time beast Antichrist figure called the King of the South in Daniel.  The leader of Europe is also Antichrist figure called the King of the North, and he gets his power from a world religious leader that is based in Rome (Rev. 17:9). I’m sorry if I offend, but there really isn’t any other way to understand the prophecies of Revelation and the book of Daniel. I am not alone. Martin Luther, and all of the early Protestant leaders believed the very same thing that I do.   Therefore, we can better understand why George Washington, in his famous farewell speech called for America to stay out of European affairs because he understood fully that Europe was a danger to America.

So, friends, any news that does not include God in it is really folly.  News that only tells you what happened yesterday and doesn’t tell you why it happened or what will happen tomorrow, doesn’t do you any good.  It’s a total waste of your time.  It’s much like a farmer that depends on the weather forecasts from the day before and what it is doing in the present, but not understanding what the weather will be like tomorrow!  That kind of weather forecasting does you no good, and neither does news without the knowledge of God in it. 

“And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, He gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom” (Matthew 27:50-51).

The Bible says that the moment Jesus died, the veil in the Temple tore down the middle. What significance does this torn veil have for us today and above all, the tearing of the veil at the moment of Jesus' death?  This event dramatically symbolized that His sacrifice, the shedding of His own blood, was a sufficient atonement for sins forever. It now signified that the way into the Holy of Holies was open for all people, for all time, both Jew and Gentile.

During the lifetime time of Jesus, the Holy Temple in Jerusalem was the center of Jewish religious life. Here was the place that animal sacrifices were carried out and worship according to the Law of Moses was followed faithfully. Hebrews 9:1-9 tells us that in the Temple a veil separated the Holy of Holies—the earthly dwelling place of God’s presence—from the rest of the Temple where men dwelt. This signified that man was separated from God by sin (Isaiah 59:1-2). Only the High Priest was permitted to pass beyond this veil once each year (Exodus 30:10; Hebrews 9:7), enter into God's presence for all of Israel, and make atonement for their sins (Leviticus 16).

In our second story in the new topic, The Hidden Meaning in Many Songs, Movies and Books, we come to 'Amazing Grace', that so-called "Sunday" gospel classic. The story behind this song is truly amazing indeed.

Many are probably not familiar with the song's history, but the rest of the story behind this tune was that it was written almost two and a half centuries ago in 1772 by an Englishman named John Newton. Knowing the story of John Newton and the journey he went through before writing the hymn will help you to understand the depth of his words and his gratefulness for God's truly amazing grace.

Having lived through a rather unfortunate and troubled childhood (his mother passed away when he was just six years old), Newton spent years fighting against authority, going so far as trying to desert the Royal Navy in his twenties. Later, abandoned by his crew in West Africa, he was forced to be a slave to a slave trader but was eventually rescued. On the return voyage to England, a severe storm hit and almost sank the ship prompting Newton to begin his spiritual conversion as he cried out to God to save them all from the storm.

Ironically, upon his return to England, Newton became a slave ship master, a profession in which he served for several years. Bringing slaves from Africa to England over multiple trips, he admitted to sometimes treating the slaves abhorrently. In 1754, after becoming violently ill on a sea voyage, Newton abandoned the slave trade, and seafaring, altogether, wholeheartedly devoting his life to God's service.

He was ordained as an Anglican priest in 1764 and became quite popular as a preacher and hymn writer, penning some 280 hymns, among them the great "Amazing Grace," which first appeared in the Olney Hymns, printed by Newton and poet/fellow writer William Cowper. It was later set to the popular tune NEW BRITAIN in 1835 by William Walker.

In later years, Newton fought alongside William Wilberforce, leader of the parliamentary campaign to abolish the African slave trade. He described the horrors of the slave trade in a tract he wrote supporting the campaign and lived to see the British Passage of the Slave Trade Act 1807.

And now, we see the lyrics such as these by Newton...

I once was lost,
but now am found,
Was blind
but now I see.

and

Through many dangers, toils, and snares
I have already come.
'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

...carry a much deeper meaning than a sinner's mere gratitude. Close to death at various times and blind to the reality of and for others, Newton would most assuredly not have written "Amazing Grace" if not for his tumultuous past. And many of us would then be without these lovely words that so aptly describe our own relationship with Christ and our reliance on God's grace in our lives:

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Modern interpretation:

Those who have read Harriet Beecher Stowe's classic African American novel, Uncle Tom's Cabin, may remember that Tom sings three verses of "Amazing Grace," including one verse not written by Newton which is now traditionally sung as the final verse:

When we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise,
Then when we first begun.

 There is a movie named, "Newton's Grace" that tells the story of the man.  It is a very good biographical movie that although a low budget film, will find you truly admiring this man of God.    

 John Newton's tombstone reads:

"John Newton, once an infidel and libertine, a servant of slaves in Africa, was, by the rich mercy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, preserved, restored, pardoned, and appointed to preach the faith he had long labored to destroy!" "By the grace of God, I am what I am!" 1 Corinthians 15:10

I want to go, to give you now, in summary, some things that really will, in a nutshell, show you what to look for in the immediate future; in the months, year or two, just ahead of us now.

1. Look for a charismatic Arab leader who will attempt to bring Arab nations under the one green flag of Islam, who will become the king of the south of prophecy.

2. Look for the creation of a multi-national, all-European army or rapid-deployment force capable of immediately launching an occupation of Palestine.  That's already being formed.

3. Look for the intervention of a great false prophet who will give his blessing to the creating of a united Europe and its advance into Palestine.

4. Look for the building of a temple or the erection of a temporary structure and the dedication of a corner stone, and the institution of priests and sacrifices in Jerusalem.

5. Look for some major catastrophe to strike Israel, which will cause either the government to approve the destruction of the Arab mosques, or a coup by the Israeli military to accomplish the same thing.

6. Look for a combined attack of Arab armies against Israel.

7. Watch for skyrocketing energy prices and a global economic meltdown with Japan as well as Europe and the United States plunging into a global great depression.

8. Look for the emergence of dictators and kings to take over chaotic governments mired in depression, civil unrest, race wars, and anarchy.

9. Continue to watch for major attacks against the West from terrorists, possibly using chemical, biological, and even nuclear dirty bomb weapons, attacking water supplies, transportation, nuclear power plants, and major centers of population.

10. Expect in the future major persecution of God's people and attacks against God's work on Earth by a great false church and her sympathizers.

11. Look for this king of the south to push at the beast power of Europe, such as an oil embargo, which would have to result in an immediate military occupation of the Middle East including the sources of oil.

12. Look for the possibility that the invasion of Israel by the beast power is this time in an attempt to save the remaining Jews alive as a peacekeeping gesture rather that to occupy as if an enemy.

13. Watch for increasing earthquakes in diverse places, disease epidemics, and regional wars around the world; China might invade Taiwan, North Korea might invade South Korea, the Philippines or Vietnam or North Korea might invade to each other to try to obtain the Spratley Islands.  Look for an increase in heavenly signs such as meteor showers, and comets that might occur.

14. Look for the eventual time when the work of God is going to be put down and out and will be censored and will be unable, anymore, to shout a witness and a warning.  That is a scenario of prophecy that is Biblically based, and you can watch for those things all around the world as you have been, I'm sure.  So don't cease, and always, when you watch your daily news and see these things happening, see them in the context of what you know Bible prophecy says is sure to happen.

Unless candidates commit to oppose noncitizen voting, it’s just more meaningless double-talk.

With a critical midterm election less than two weeks away, America is awash in rhetoric about voter suppression, election integrity, and “threats to democracy.” While those are serious issues, they have been invoked far too often lately by left-wing partisans as attack lines against opponents and to distract from their own political failures. Lost in the political spin and 24-hour cable news programming is a very real and underreported threat to our democracy: allowing noncitizens to vote in U.S. elections.

Noncitizen voting has become a priority agenda item for the anti-borders Left, right up there with blocking wall construction, advocating sanctuary laws, and counting noncitizens in the U.S. census. 

The motivation should be obvious by now. A large pool of noncitizens, most of whom have no understanding of America’s founding principles, can be easily swayed to vote a certain way in critical races. At that point, the floodgates can be opened for a slew of radical laws most Americans would not support.

The effort to push through illegal alien voting is already underway and yielding results in deep-blue jurisdictions. Towns in Vermont, California, and Maryland currently allow noncitizen voting in local elections. The New York City Council had passed a law giving the right to vote in city elections to alien residents of the city who are permitted to work in the United States. A state court later struck down the law in June of this year.

The latest effort is taking place in our nation’s capital. The D.C. City Council passed a measure this month that would only require someone to live in the city for 30 days before registering to vote. The measure still requires a review by Congress and a signature from Mayor Muriel Bowser.

One of the core strengths of the late, great, sorely missed, Rush Limbaugh was his ability and willingness to constantly reground his listeners concerning basic truths. We tend to forget basics in the heat of political battle, usually to the detriment of conservative causes and candidates.

An excellent current example of this has to do with polling. I cannot believe how many conservative pundits, radio/podcast hosts and writers react to polls early in the season with dismay or even panic. “Beto is within three points of Abbot!” “Fetterman up seven over Oz? How can that be?” The answer is: you’re right, it can't be. It isn't true. Please stop getting suckered in.

Every election cycle Rush would re-educate us on how to correctly look at polling. Up until the final four weeks before election day, the goal of mass-market pollsters is not to provide an accurate reflection of public opinion, it is to shape public opinion. They will tweak their selection criteria and questions to produce a result that maximizes liberal engagement and depresses conservatives. Most well-known national polling companies are joined at the hip with the leftist establishment and behave accordingly. Nobody should believe any poll conducted more than a month out. (The only possible exception to this are internal polls paid for by the campaigns themselves.)

But when we get close to election day, that behavior changes. Now the polls produced by the big polling outfits will help define their reputation for accuracy moving forward. No pollster wants to be known as “the one who got it wrong” and so they actually begin to reflect the public's actual position. Every cycle the result is the same: the polls swing toward Republicans as we get closer.

In recent weeks we have seen that realignment happening, right on schedule. We like to think that this represents that the public is moving in the “right” direction. It really means that the pollsters are moving in the direction of basic honesty, because their careers depend on it. The voters have been in the right place all along.

A report by Marco Polo claims Joe Biden is complicit in tax evasion, violated the Presidential Records Act, and used nonpublic information for financial gain.

President Joe Biden is listed as an 'accomplice' in six alleged white collar crimes in an explosive 634-page report on the contents of Hunter's laptop by a right wing transparency organization, obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com.

The incendiary report by nonprofit Marco Polo, a right-wing transparency group, details accusations of 459 crimes allegedly committed by Hunter including prostitution offenses, distribution and possession of drugs, defrauding government agencies, illegal foreign lobbying and money laundering.

The report - published by founder Garrett Ziegler, a 26-year-old former Trump White House aide - claims that Joe is complicit in tax evasion, violations of the Presidential Records Act and the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), and using nonpublic information from a government job for financial gain.   More>>>>>

Former President Donald Trump is blasting his own previous communications director Alyssa Farah Griffin, urging her firing as co-host of ABC's political talk show "The View."

"Alyssa Farah totally misrepresented her true feelings about me and the Trump Administration in order to get her job at ratings disaster CNN, and a seat with the low IQ people at The View," Trump said on Truth Social.

"Look at what she said about me, and that doesn't include the beautiful letter she sent and other statements she made. They should fire her for misrepresentation or fraud. Release the letter, Alyssa!"

Trump included a string of high praise tweets from Farah Griffin in December 2020, as she said it was "an honor of a lifetime to serve in the Trump Administration" for three and a half years.

"I am deeply proud of the incredible things we were able to accomplish to make our country stronger, safer, and more secure," Farah Griffin wrote at the time.

"We delivered historic tax cuts, putting money back in the pockets of hard-working Americans," she added.

Since her departure from the White House, Farah Griffin has become a fierce critic of Trump and his supporters, especially concerning the mayhem at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2001.

She was hired as a CNN contributor and this past summer was named as Meghan McCain's replacement on 'The View."

Stalin also dreaded the Ukrainian peasantry, whose staunch resistance to Bolshevik rule forced the Soviet state during the 1920s to recognize the importance of Ukrainian culture and delay the violent collectivization of agriculture. When the wholesale collectivization of land and cattle began in 1929, the Ukrainian peasants actively resisted it. In 1930, the police reported 4,098 anti-state actions in the Ukrainian countryside, with the participation of 965,587 peasants. In most cases the peasants beat up the enforcers, took back the grain, and burned office buildings, but the police also classified 15 mass disturbances as “armed rebellions” sometimes involving the murder of Soviet officials and activists.

Because of these factors, in 1932–33, Stalin and his henchmen used starvation to crush the resistance of the Ukrainian peasants. A network television producer who was helping write a book about Joe Biden's disastrous withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan had his home raided back in April and a report now charges he hasn't been seen since. 

The Daily Mail identified the producer as James Gordon Meek, 52, and explains that a Rolling Stone source suspected he had "classified" material, part of his work as an investigative journalist.

But still unexplained is his absence, the report said.

ABC News, for whom he worked, explains that he resigned abruptly, and "has not been seen by colleagues since," the Daily Mail confirmed.

That was in April, when the FBI raid was staged, and it was at that time he withdrew from participation in a book he was writing about Biden and Afghanistan.

Eugene Gorokhov, a lawyer for Meek, said he knew nothing about classified material but said if Meek had something, it would have been connected to his investigative reporting.

And he said Meek didn't have any information about claims from "anonymous sources."

The report said if it was allegedly classified material on his computer that triggered the raid, and his subsequent disappearance, there remain many questions, including how the federal government knew about whatever was on his computer.

The FBI hasn't explained its raid on his home, and Meek's attorneys "are being tight-lipped."

About 3,000 of the approximately 18,000 Protestant pastors in Germany in the 1930s openly supported Adolf Hitler, and about the same number ended up opposing his tyrannical rule.

But it was the vast majority of ministers, about 12,000, who chose to remain silent – arguing it wasn't their place to engage in politics – who enabled the Nazis to "crush the heroic 3,000" who stood up against the dictator, points out Eric Metaxas in his new book "Letter to the American Church."

"That is the nightmare – that they thought it would be safe," Metaxas said in an interview with James Robison on the "LIFE Today" television program.

The pastors, Metaxas said, decided: "We won't take a position. We don't want to be political. We'll just keep our nose down, preach our little stuff on Sunday morning, and when we leave this building, we're going to bow to the authority of the state."

Metaxas contends the American church today mirrors the silence of the German church before the Holocaust.

If church leaders, he said, don't learn the lesson of the 1930s, "we are going down precisely the same path."

"And people say, 'I can't believe it, I can't believe it.' Trust me when I say that the Germans didn't believe that that future was even possible. But it happened, and we are no different than the Germans," he said.

President Biden and congressional Democrats’ Build Back Better (BBB) Act is now in the hands of the Senate. That legislative body’s 50-50 partisan split will undoubtedly make the bill’s passage difficult.

In order for BBB to become law, Democratic Senate leadership will need to convince moderates such as Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) that the legislation’s $2.4 trillion price tag can be offset by expanding the IRS and its enforcement efforts while imposing substantial tax reform measures.

Congressional Democrats have argued that one of the best ways to pay for the legislation is to raise taxes on wealthy households, which, according to many on the left, have benefited disproportionately and unfairly from the 2017 tax reform lawpassed by Republicans and signed by former President Trump. The latest data, however, proves that this claim is pure mythology.

Income data published by the IRS clearly show that on average all income brackets benefited substantially from the Republicans’ tax reform law, with the biggest beneficiaries being working and middle-income filers, not the top 1 percent, as so many Democrats have argued.

A careful analysis of the IRS tax data, one that includes the effects of tax credits and other reforms to the tax code, shows that filers with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $15,000 to $50,000 enjoyed an average tax cut of 16 percent to 26 percent in 2018, the first year Republicans’ Tax Cuts and Jobs Act went into effect and the most recent year for which data is available.

Filers who earned $50,000 to $100,000 received a tax break of about 15 percent to 17 percent, and those earning $100,000 to $500,000 in adjusted gross income saw their personal income taxes cut by around 11 percent to 13 percent.

By comparison, no income group with an AGI of at least $500,000 received an average tax cut exceeding 9 percent, and the average tax cut for brackets starting at $1 million was less than 6 percent. (For more detailed data, see my table published here.)

That means most middle-income and working-class earners enjoyed a tax cut that was at least double the size of tax cuts received by households earning $1 million or more.

Xi Jinping secured a historic third term as China’s leader on Sunday and filled his inner circle with close allies, achieving after a decade in power complete dominance over the ruling Communist Party.

The party’s Central Committee elected Xi as its general secretary for another five-year period, bringing the country back towards one-man rule after decades of power-sharing among its elite.

“I wish to thank the whole party sincerely for the trust you have placed in us,” Xi told journalists at Beijing’s Great Hall of the People after the closed-door, rubber-stamp vote was announced.

Xi, 69, was also reappointed head of China’s Central Military Commission, keeping him in charge of the People’s Liberation Army.

He is now all but certain to sail through to a third term as the country’s president, due to be formally announced during the government’s annual legislative sessions in March.

Sunday’s developments cement Xi as the most powerful leader since Communist Party founder Mao Zedong.

In a wide-ranging acceptance speech on Sunday, Xi made signature remarks celebrating China’s rise as a global power and its success under his rule.

“The world needs China,” he said.

“After more than 40 years of unflagging efforts towards reform and opening up, we have created two miracles — rapid economic development and long-term social stability.”

Six of Xi’s proteges and allies were also unveiled on Sunday alongside him as members of the Politburo Standing Committee — the party’s apex of power that rules the country.

Li Qiang — Xi’s former chief of staff who oversaw a grueling two-month Covid lockdown in Shanghai this year — was named as number two in the Standing Committee.
