Zephaniah 2:1-3 tells us this, “Gather together! Gather together,

O shameless nation— before the decree is brought forth, before the day passes away like chaff, before Lord’s burning anger comes upon you, before the day of Lord’s anger comes upon you! Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land who have executed His judgment. Seek righteousness; seek meekness! Perhaps you will be hidden on the day of the Lord’s wrath.”

We do not like to think about God in this manner. We like to think that God is loving, and He is, but God does not turn a blind eye to sin, He also judges, and He disciplines, and yes, He gets angry. We see that God brought judgment in the day of Noah as Genesis 6:13 tells us, “Then God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh is coming before Me, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. Behold, I am about to bring ruin upon them along with the land.”
