'Hostile environment' reported to the Office of Civil Rights

The Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) announced that it is launching an investigation into the University of California Berkeley Law School due to concerns of anti-zionism.

Gabriel Groisman, an attorney and partner at LSN Law, P.A., and Arsen Ostrovsky, an Israel-based attorney, and CEO of The International Legal Forum filed a complaint with the OCR on Nov. 18, according to the Cleveland Jewish News. The complaint came as a result of multiple student groups adopting Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions bylaws associated with the pro-Palestine movement, that banned pro-Israel speakers from their chapters.

The OCR agreed Tuesday to conduct an official investigation into the “hostile environment” at U.C. Berkeley Law, according to the Cleveland Jewish News.

“Whether the University failed to respond appropriately in the fall 2022 semester to notice from Jewish law students, faculty, and staff that they experienced a hostile environment at the law school based on their shared Jewish ancestry when University-recognized student organizations passed a bylaw against inviting speakers who support ‘Zionism, the state of Israel, and the occupation of Palestine,'” the OCR stated in the letter.

Ostrovsky told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the notion that anti-Zionism and antisemitism are not related was false.

“Zionism is an integral and core component of Jewish identity. So in other words when they use the excuse saying ‘no Zionists [are] welcome’ what in effect they are actually saying that no Jews are welcome,” he stated. 

In August, students from the student chapter Law Students for Justice in Palestine at Berkeley Law passed bylaws banning pro-Israel speakers from being invited to events and required its board members to attend a “Palestine 101” training, according to the chapter’s Instagram. The bylaws were passed by nine other student chapters on campus.

Today is the 10th "New Month" Day of the year, and the Jewish (not Biblical) festival of Hanukkah starts on the second day of this month. The only biblical reference to a well-known winter holiday that Jesus celebrated, a holiday many will celebrate this month. Although not an ordained feast of the Lord, it was followed by Jesus. (John 10:22–3)

Bible's translate the beginning of each months, as New Moon festivals, because at one time, before the flood, new moons started the new months. This isn't true today, so the best translation would be New Month Festivals....  This month is the

 I often mention that God's calendar is NOT like any other calendar on earth today.  It is not the Roman calendar that we follow, or the equally pagan Jewish calendar that many churches believe is the calendar of God.  To read more about God's Calendar click here .  There is a mistake that those who follow a Jewish calendar has made, and that refers to the word for new moon.  That is a mistranslation, as the proper rendering should be NEW MONTH, as I did in The Plain Truth's Red Letter Bible.

The Hebrew word 'chodesh', which is Strong's Exhaustive Concordance simply means "new" or to "rebuild." Chodesh does not mean "new moon". It means 'new' with an implication that a month is about to begin again.

Originally, when the earth had a perfect 360 day rotation around the sun, and the moon's journey around the earth was exactly 30 days (today it is 29.5 days), new moons where on the new months. The calendar was in balance. However, probably after the flood, the weight of water slowed the earth rotational spin (this is NOT mentioned in the Bible) to 365.25 days a year and the moon's rotation to the present one of 29.5 days.

The ancients noticed that the months were no longer 30 days and the years were not 360 days, but now over 365. A calendar needed to be made to reflect this. Egypt made the first perfect calendar, one Moses was very familiar with, which had 12 - 30 day months and then 5 days at the end of the year that did not count. This is also seen in Enoch's calendar (see illustration on left).God's calendar was like the Egyptian one except that year no longer started on the first day of summer, but on the first day of spring. Springtime is the birth of the new year in nature, as morning is the start of the day as well. The term for new moon became "new month" as the new moons and new months no longer matched up. This is not hard to conceive as the English word for month comes from moon! Yet our months have nothing to do with new moons! The same applies to God's calendar.

Hannukah will begin next week, and you can search around and find numerous theories and thoughts surrounding the "Festival of Lights" as it relates to Jesus. As many know, this is also the celebration known as Hanukkah.

Look up the Festival of Lights and you will find that people believe Jesus was conceived during this winter festival and it does fit a logical theory stemming from scripture that Jesus was born in autumn.  Then there are of course the masses that celebrate Christ's birth in late December as they believe He was born on the 25th, you can read more on this theory being debunked. More importantly speaking of Jesus' conception and birth, the exact date is just not known of either, the Bible does NOT specify. We know the Bible is the inspired Word of God, so not being given these details by Him, it must mean then that God really doesn’t want us to know. Human nature is to try to find resolve, but it just plainly and simply was not told to us. And guess what? That is OK, in fact, that is more than okay. God is so specific in what He reveals and what He does not reveal. 

With all of that said, good intentioned people can tend to miss what is most important and to those celebrating the Festival of Lights, are you maybe missing the Biblical message of who really is the TRUE LIGHT?

Hanukkah, Christmas and Light

[Darris McNeely] The Jewish festival of Hanukkah is a very interesting festival - happening every year usually in December among the Jewish people. Hanukkah goes back - the story of Hanukkah goes back - to the 2nd century, the Jewish story, when the people in Judea threw off the Seleucid yoke and had the opportunity to go back into the temple and there, they we were going to reinstate all of their traditions and all of their ceremonies. They only found enough oil for one day of lighting the lamps in the temple, but a miracle was supposedly performed and there was enough oil for eight days.  And so the tradition and the celebration began around this has come down to the people today of Hanukkah being a season of lights. You have this menorah - which is an eight candled, eight branched menorah - used specifically for the Hanukkah season that relates to that whole festival of lights - which is an interesting period of time because we are also into the Christmas season.

[Steve Myers] Right, a lot of people feel that Hanukkah is the Jewish version of Christmas and they're really not connected in any way. Except there is an interesting connection and it has to do with the lights themselves. At Christmas time so many people put up lights all around their house. They set up their Christmas tree. They put lights on the Christmas tree as well. And of course, at Hanukkah we got the candles that are on the menorah, and they light those candles each day. In fact, some people have an advent candle that they light - for maybe many days before Christmas leading up to it. And so there is this connection of light but is it the kind of light that we should have?

[Darris McNeely]  And here in the darkest season of the year - in December. You have the Christmas celebration which is based upon an ancient period of the Saturnalia festivals in Rome. You have the Jewish tradition of Hanukkah and its lights. But both of them really miss the key scriptural teaching about light which is that of Jesus Christ. In John chapter 3 and in verse 19 it says, "...the Light has come into the world and men love darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil" (John 3:19). Jesus Christ is the true light of the world. And, still today people are not able to come to understand exactly what that light and the truth of Christ's teaching does mean. We love evil too much and we wrap the teaching about Jesus Christ around ideas, traditions and fables. Neither one of which really teach about Jesus.

[Steve Myers] That's right. Christ is left out. Commonly we hear that phrase "put Christ back in Christmas" - well He was never there. So, Christ is left out of Christmas, and He is left out of Hanukkah as well. And so the challenge is much like Ephesians 5:8 says. It says, "…you are the light in the Lord, walk as children in light." And so we have that challenge to walk in spirit and truth, and worship God in a way that pleases Him - one of light, that shines the evidence of Christ in our lives so clearly.

[Darris McNeely] So, with all these human traditions around us at this time of year - Christmas, Hanukkah and whatever the custom might be. Again, we challenge you to go back through all we have talked about in the various Beyond Today programs and really understand who is the true light - Jesus Christ, the Light of the world. Find and worship Him, in spirit and in truth.

Those born into this bloodline became the religious teachers and leaders and inherited various privileges of office by virtue of birth. Their role was effectively suspended late in the first century until the time of the Messiah, but the Levites are still extant somewhere on this planet. Who are they? Where do they reside? And by nature, do they still tend to religious roles? The descendants of Levi are represented in the chart below. He had three sons (Gen 46:11) and a number of grandsons, etc. His sons were Gershon, Kohath, Merari and it may be that the clans named after them can still be identified.

When one examines the tabernacle arrangement (below) of where the various tribes are located, we find that the Judahites are at the helm, in the leadership position. Surrounding and protecting the tabernacle are the Levitical families of the Kohathites, Gershonites and Merarites. In the front, behind Judah, were Moses, Aaron and the priests.

“[Levites had a] monopoly of national honors, giving the Leah descended priests (who in practice are absorbed into Judah) the exclusive right and privilege of administering the relationship between Jehovah and Israel.” (Louis Wallis, The Bible and Modern Belief, p. 25)

Later there was a concentration of Levites around Jerusalem, but the majority were allocated across Israel to teach the way of God and to keep internal discipline. Rebellion by Israelites was dealt with by fury and violence – more on this nature will be covered in this article.

Democrat halts law that would protect nearly all children

A judge in Indiana has said that a new law that would protect nearly all unborn children from abortion cannot take effect – because it violates the religious beliefs of pagans.

It is the Washington Stand that has documented the decision from Heather Welch, a superior court judge in Marion County.

Welch released a decision and an accompanying injunction against the state's pro-life law because she said it violates the views of Hoosier Jews for Choice and a handful of individuals – all anonymous.

The individuals include a couple of Jewish people, a Muslim and a pagan.

Welch justified the ruling with: "[M]any [p]agans believe that in recognition of women’s autonomy demanded by their sincere beliefs, women must be allowed to obtain abortions."

The Stand report noted, "Legal authorities say Welch’s ruling misses the point of both the state’s abortion and religious liberty laws. Indiana’s RFRA — like the national RFRA signed by President Bill Clinton — prohibits the government from substantially burdening anyone’s religious beliefs except 'in furtherance of a compelling governmental interest,' and it requires politicians to use 'the least restrictive means' possible. The government has a compelling interest in protecting innocent life, and no less restrictive means are available than prohibiting abortion."

The Stand reported the arguments in the case align with a strategy known to be used by the Satanic Temple to fight pro-life protections.

What is heading earths way is a catastrophic celestial disaster and one that we most likely are about to experience in our lifetime. This disaster cycle has been proven and is on track with a timeline of events expected to happen and science is not denying it. In turn, it is getting harder for the human race to deny it as well anymore.

And so once again, we have our amazing God

in the news of today!

The God of the Bible has warned us of such an event! NASA and many modern-day astronomers and sun experts have a plethora of information on how it all will look and how to best prepare (Isaiah 47:13-14), but knowing God, what HE says and trusting in Him is paramount to anything that may come our way. For we are His children and He above all else is our refuge and our future!

And as Bob Barney has stated emphatically, "this warning fulfills God's prophecies concerning the destruction of our nation by both natural and man-made events." You can read a great and informative column from him called, The Plain Truth: Is life for you about to change forever?

Our intent with this site is to share how the Hand of God is behind today's news and if you are a solar system and planetary junkie, this documentary may really be of interest.

On Friday, Joe Biden traded the “Merchant of Death” for pot-smoking America-hating WNBA star Brittney Griner.

WNBA star Brittney Griner was found guilty of drug smuggling with criminal intent in a Russian court back in August. Russian prosecutors pushed for a sentence of 9.5 years in a penal colony.

Russia released Brittney in exchange for international arms dealer Viktor Bout.

Vikor Bout, known as the “merchant of death,” is a former Soviet military officer, who was serving a 25-year prison sentence in the United States on charges of conspiring to kill Americans, acquire and export anti-aircraft missiles, and provide material support to a terrorist organization. Bout has maintained he is innocent – via CNN.

Bout armed terrorist groups in some of the most violent conflicts in the world.

On Saturday Viktor Bout sat down with Maria Butina from Russia Today in his first interview since his release from US prison.

Viktor Bout told RT: “They’re losing their Christian values. They’re losing their families. They’re losing literally their country. It is not anymore the same country we knew America used to be, the model for the entire world and lead and be an example. Like they say, you know, a sparkling town on a hill.”

Do you believe in democracy? What form of government is the United States? Is it a democracy, a Republic, or something else that unfortunately has been lost in the past few generations? Constitutionally speaking, America is what is called a "constitutional Republic form of democracy.” We are not as many scholars understand, a purely democratic society. Our forefathers knew that democracies can never last more than a few generations and that the only hope of our government to survive many generations was to form a public form of government. This begs the question, what were they trying to protect? What was the founding principle of our way of life that our forefathers wanted to preserve, protect, and maintain? We see that it was a democratic form of government. So is the Republic of the United States of America the end means of what the founding fathers were attempting to create back in 1789? No, friends, the most important principle to the founding of this nation is a biblical principle which you probably are unaware of. The word “democracy” or "Republic” is not found in the Bible. We all know the Bible is God's word to us and we know what was brought forth in the Gospel of Jesus Christ was concerning a coming Kingdom of God. This Kingdom would occur on earth upon his return at the end of this age. Christ died for our sins--many know this, but in addition, do you know what else Christ bought for us with His death? Imagery now appearing at Brigham Young University

A "genderbread" person, an on-screen image, has been used all across the country to claim that there are a nearly inexhaustible number of sexual and gender orientations.

It's latest iteration was presented recently at Brigham Young University.

And the teaching that accompanied it claimed that Jesus was the "most androgynous" person ever.

The details come in a report by Campus Reform, which has reported on the use of Mr. "Genderbread" as far back as 2017 when such posters appeared at Pennsylvania State during "Pride Week."

The report explains the imagery, and the ideology, is appearing at BYU just in time for Christmas.

It explained, "A picture of the class presentation depicting the creature was posted to Facebook by Natalie Cline, a school board member in the 11th district of Utah and a member of the Mormon Church.

She said a BYU student sent an image of the presentation to her mom during a "Human Development" class, showing a slide of the the "Gingerbread Person" and outlining "spectrums" of gender and such.

What is a root cellar?

A root cellar is a storage location that uses the natural cooling, insulating and humidifying properties of the earth to store food. You can store fruits and vegetables from your home garden or the local farmers’ market in a root cellar, especially if your area frequently experiences power outages.

Before refrigeration, preppers used an underground root cellar to effectively store beets, carrots, onions, parsnips, potatoes, turnips, and other root vegetables that they grew in their gardens.

Now, root cellars are making a comeback among modern preppers because they can prevent food from freezing during the winter. Root cellars can also keep food cool during the summer, which prevents spoilage.

You can also use a root cellar to store jars of canned or pickled vegetables, canned meats and the bulbs or rhizomes of perennial flowers for your garden. Additionally, a root cellar can be used to store wine, beer, or other homemade alcoholic beverages. (Related: Upcycling for preppers: How to turn a broken freezer into a mini root cellar.)

Tips for starting a root cellar

If you want your root cellar to work properly, it must be able to hold a temperature of 32 to 40 F (0 to 4.5 C) and a humidity level of 85 to 95 percent. Unfortunately, this means you may need to look at other options if you are in a warm, southern climate since the root cellar may not work properly.

If you already have a dark underground area on your homestead, your work is almost over. If you don’t, you need to build your root cellar in a location away from places with a high water table or a septic system.

Look for a close and easily accessible location. If your area experiences harsh winters, build your root cellar under a garden shed so you don’t have to remove snow to access it once winter comes.

If you are building the root cellar yourself, the best method is to use the foundation walls on the northeast corner of the site as the two sides of the root cellar. Then, build the other two walls in the basement with stud and board.

You need to insulate the interior walls, ceiling and door along with any pipes or ducts to keep the heat out. The root cellar will also need a ventilation system that allows cool, fresh air from the outside to be brought into the room so stale air can be exhausted. This will help prevent mold and mildew.

If you already have a crawlspace, consider using it for a root cellar. The concrete foundation will provide the “walls” for the structure.

Use what you have and if you don’t have ideal space, dig horizontally into the side of a hill on your homestead.

COLONIAL AND GREATER WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA 3 WAYS

Learning by doing is way more fun than reading a book. That’s just one of the reasons why you should consider a trip to America’s historic triangle. The Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown settlements mark major events in the story of colonial America… and they are so close to one another that you can really explore all three in one fell swoop.

While people may think of Colonial Williamsburg as more of a school field trip locale, complete with actors in traditional garb, it’s important to remember what happened here remains so relevant today. For example, 2019 marks 400 years since enslaved Africans arrived in Jamestown, as well as the convening of the first General Assembly, which lay the foundation for a democratic, independent United States. There’s many incredible stories to be gleaned, even if you arrive skeptical, you’ll leave with a greater appreciation for the United States.

Here are three ways to explore Williamsburg.

Good for everyone to know:

• It’s actually free to explore the streets of Colonial Williamsburg, the largest living museum in the world. However, if you want to go into most of the buildings, partake in tours, take a carriage ride or watch artisans hone their craft, you’ll need a ticket.

I am sure you have heard or perhaps watched shows devoted to so-called "Bible codes". This is where mathematical rabbis find hidden messages in the Bible using computer programs and are making some outstanding claims about these messages. The subject of "Bible codes" IS NOT what today's article is about. Instead of Biblical codes that are almost impossible for anyone in the real world to discover, we are going to set forth on a journey together and discover possibly the strangest and most important Biblical code of all time. INTRODUCTORY REMARKS

Who are the Welsh? Why do there appear to be two or three physical types that are different to each other, however minor (much like the Scots)? Can we trace them back to their true origins and initial geographic location? This article takes the position that most Welsh descend from Levi as do some of the Scots and others scattered throughout certain modern-day nations, the so-called ‘lost’ tribes of Israel. Attempts at proving this position will be undertaken by utilizing Bible prophecy, tribal names, the attributes of the Welsh as compared with the Levites and such like. Much of this comes down to plain common sense and obvious linkages that also can be supported by the historical record. Of course, this is not meant to be a history lesson or detailed information about Wales or the Welsh – that has been covered infinitum in hundreds of works. I leverage off these works for the purpose of this article. Nor is it meant to be a scientific, academic work of a hundred or more pages that few may want to read, would be too lengthy and circuitous and yet come to the same conclusions as a shorter article. As much as it is tempting to include huge amounts of data, such would be self-defeating and not assist in promulgating the message. On the other hand, an article that is too short would not give credence to the subject matter either. As most readers would know, the Levites are part of the tribes of Israel – a part of yet separate to the 12 tribes – a sort of 13th tribe.1 Their similarity to the Welsh is rather remarkable as we shall see. In fact, many within the British-Israel movement have noticed those similarities for over a century but a full treatise on the subject is yet to develop. It is not only the British-Israelites who subscribe to this belief, but also many within the Church of God community. In 1986 I wrote to the office of the local Church of God about this matter and the response is contained below:

When a person dies, he is dead, which means totally without life. A Christian has body, soul, and holy spirit, so we will look at what happens to each of these components if a Christian dies. The body cannot live without the animating life force of the soul so when the soul is gone, the body is dead. We have all seen lifeless bodies—the body is there but the soul, the life force, is gone.

Just as the body is not alive without the soul, the soul cannot live on its own without a body. The soul is not a ghost that lives on after the body dies. Rather, it is the animating force that makes the body alive. God created the soul, the life force, for both animals and man, and it is passed down from one generation to the next. There was no “soul ghost” that God put into us when the sperm of our father and egg of our mother came together.

Every living part of a human or animal has “soul,” that is, life. Every cell of our body has soul in it, which is what makes it alive. A dead cell is a cell without soul—the soul is gone. As with every cell, the egg from my mother and the sperm from my father that became “me” each had their own cell-body and soul, and that soul was passed down to “me” when the sperm fertilized the egg. If the egg were “dead,” the lifeless egg-body would be there, but it could not be fertilized, and if the sperm were dead, it could not fertilize the egg.

When a human cell dies, the life in that cell does not go to be with God, it is just gone. Similarly, the soul that makes the egg and sperm alive does not live on in the presence of God if the sperm or egg dies. Men have millions of living sperm, sperm with soul, that die, and women have hundreds of thousands of living eggs, eggs with soul, which are never fertilized, and die. The soul in all those sperms and eggs does not “go” anywhere if the sperm or egg dies, and certainly not to be with God, rejoicing in His presence. As with the life in any cell, it just dies and is gone. On the other hand, if the sperm fertilizes an egg, then the life in them is passed on and becomes the life of the new baby.

Shows 'Serpent of Genesis'

A display at the Illinois State Capitol shows the “Serpent of Genesis” from the Satanic Temple alongside a Christian nativity.

The state capitol has hosted a variety of religious displays including a Jewish menorah and Christian nativity for the last fourteen years. For the past four years, the Satanic Temple has been on display as well, according to the Illinois Radio Network.

Minister Adam of the Illinois Satanic Temple told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the display is based on a book by Nicolaus Copernicus’ “De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium.”

“Our display revolves around one of the most controversial books of its time…which argued in favor of a heliocentric model of the universe or, in other words, that the earth revolves around the sun and not the other way around,” Adam said. “The display consists of a leather-bound copy of the text at the center, orbited by knitted apples and a 12-foot serpent handcrafted by our congregation members, which represent the pursuit of forbidden knowledge.”

In 2018, lawmakers attempted to bar the temple from putting up a display. Some argued that since the temple’s display does not celebrate Christmas or any other holiday that it has no place in the annual capitol Christmas display, according to Illinois Capitol News.

America sleeps while under attack

At least five attacks at electricity substations in the Pacific Northwest have been reported in recent weeks to the FBI. The incidents come to light following a deliberate attack last week in Moore County, North Carolina that left tens of thousands of people without power for days as seasonal temperatures fall. In Washington state and Oregon, spokespeople for several energy companies - Puget Sound Energy, the Cowlitz County Public Utilities District, and Bonneville Power Administration - have confirmed that attacks occurred in November.
