" And we have a new vice-presidential candidate for the Democrats, Governor Walz of Minnesota...the most liberal governor probably in the nation. He might even be more liberal than what's going on in California. Believe it or not, Kamala Harris was able to find someone more liberal than her to run as her running mate..." Bob Barney

(ISRAEL365 NEWS) -- The flock of Jacob’s Sheep has arrived at the next stop in their journey home: Beit El, the house of God, the scene of Jacob’s prophetic dream of a ladder connecting heaven and earth. And for the first time, a pair of rams can now be viewed by the public.
In 2017, a flock of a rare breed of Jacob’s Sheep arrived in Israel from western Canada. But after arriving in the Holy Land, the flock was unable to find a permanent home. Last year, the flock was taken under new management with the intention of maintaining the rare breed.
Despite the extraordinary efforts of the previous owners, Jenna and Gil Lewinsky, the flock dwindled from 119 to about 50 head.
Naama Rue, who is managing the herd, explained that the herd is in need of rejuvenation.
“The situation was dire one year ago, but it is getting better,” she told Israel365 News. “They are being raised in an undisclosed location. We are working to make sure they are being cared for properly and getting the necessary medical attention. When the Ministry of Agriculture gave permission to bring them to Israel, it was for the purpose of maintaining this rare heritage breed for the diversity of livestock.”
“There are only about 20,000 purebred Jacob’s Sheep in the world,” she said.

Prophecy One: America’s Death Knell
Knowing the identity of nations is the key to understanding end-time prophecy. (You can have this key by requesting a free copy of Herbert Armstrong’s book The United States and Britain in Prophecy.) Old Testament prophecies, for example, spring to life when we understand that the termIsrael is referring to modern-day America and the British Commonwealth.
The entire chapter of Ezekiel 33 is a tragic prophecy about Israel’s downfall. In verse 11, God laments the destruction of these people, saying “turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?”
The Prophet Hosea saw a similar fate for the United States and Britain (Ephraim). “And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore, shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them” (Hosea 5:5). The Prophet Jeremiah also spoke of a time of unprecedented trouble in Jacob (also Israel, or the United States). “Alas! for that day is great,” he wrote, “so that none is like it: it is even thetime of Jacob’s trouble …” (Jeremiah 30:7).
According to each of these prophecies, we know it is the end time when the United States is stripped of its power and global supremacy and is overrun by its enemies. President Obama’s speech in Cairo was a sure warning that we now live in that time!
As one commentator noted in the London Times, he became the first Western leader since Napoleon to address Islam as a single bloc, thus legitimizing the Islamic extremist view that the world should be divided along religious lines. In his 54-minute, 6,000-word address, not once did the president use the word terrorism. His administration has carefully avoided using the term war on terror—opting instead for the obscurely worded “overseas contingency operation.” His repeated attempts to extend an olive branch to Iran and the rest of the Islamic world send an unmistakably clear signal to America’s enemies: The terrorists are winning. And they know it.
Jeffrey Kuhner, president of the Edmund Burke Institute, wrote about the global significance of the Cairo speech. “It will be remembered as the pivotal moment in history when the United States ceased to be a superpower,” he wrote. “Sapped of its self-confidence and sense of grandiose destiny, America chose the policy of appeasement over confrontation, lies over truth, illusion over reality” (Washington Times, June 13, emphasis mine throughout).
America’s position in the world, ideologically, morally, economically and geopolitically—especially in relation to radical Islam—has been declining for years. Obama’s capitulation in Cairo was a very public sign that America lacks the moral clarity to discern good and evil and the mental willpower to stand up against tyranny.
America’s enemies recognize weakness when they see it. The president’s overtures in Cairo, as sincere as they might be, will not result in better U.S.-Islamic relations, nor bring the people of the world together in peace. Instead, for all of his trouble, as Asia Times opined, the president will get “more megalomania from Iran, more triumphalism from the Palestinians, and less control over Iraq and Afghanistan. … It is hard to imagine any consequence except a steep diminution of American influence” (June 2).
Remember after 9/11, when Billy Graham's people decided the word "crusade" was too inflammatory? I don't remember the more benign term used for a time after that, but the thinking was, "crusade" might be offensive to Muslims.
That kind of thinking emboldens radical Islam. The imagery of the Crusades – in which large numbers of people in the Middle East swam in their own blood during the gruesome confrontations over Jerusalem – is often used by Muslims, who excel in propaganda. By the way – and this isn't meant as an afterthought – the Jews might have some unpleasant memories of the Crusades, as well.
Rodney Stark, though, in "God's Battalions," makes an argument he should be applauded for: The Crusaders were not expansionist and bullying; rather they were a reaction to Muslim hostilities. The idea that the Crusades were launched in reaction to Muslim aggressiveness is a story too long suppressed, and finally, we have a concise record of what really happened.
This is an engaging book, well-researched and expertly written. Stark represents the best of what happens when a gifted historian combines superb writing skill. One wonders if this book could be the basis of a documentary.
It is perhaps a surprise that what some would consider a conservative view is being published by HarperOne, but then again, all publishers realize today that with the economy the way it is, cash is a powerful lure; a strong book – which "God's Battalions" I is – can be comforting and profitable.
Politically correct history courses tell us that almost a thousand years ago, the Muslim world was a tolerant, advanced civilization in the Arabian desert. Think David Lean and Peter O'Toole as history professors.
Stark, though, paints a different picture, and the social scientist from Baylor makes a compelling case that is was the age-old aggressiveness of the Ishmaelites that brought Christian warriors to Jerusalem.
Stark begins by quite vividly painting a picture of Pope Urban II's speech in 1095, in a French meadow, in which he read from a desperate letter sent by the emperor of Byzantium, who was rightly concerned about the war-like Seljuk Turks – an army within 100 miles of Constantinople. Among other things, the torturing of Christians was becoming a battle tactic of the Muslims. I think this would sound familiar, right now, to Palestinian Christians in Bethlehem.
From there, Stark presents an engrossing tale of the myths and facts of the Crusades. For example, he says clearly that despite what some other historians have said, the Crusader armies were not made up of "the dregs of society" due to terrible economic conditions. Actually, says Stark, there was a period of economic growth in Europe during this time, and not only nobility funded the military excursions, but so did commoners.
Stark also addresses, in skillful fashion, the nuance of this sweeping story. Describing the brutality of a small contingent of Crusaders – "German knights" – who were bent on murdering Jews they found along the way, the bishop of Speyer sheltered that town's Jews (all but 12, who failed to heed warnings and were butchered), illustrating that down through history, while Christendom has a stained record with the Jews, many Christians have come to the aid of the Jews.
It is the encounters that the Crusaders had with Muslims hordes, however, that are most epic (a side-note for the immature reader: Several of the leaders of the Crusades had names that sounded like something straight out of Saturday Night Live: Walter the Penniless, Emicho of Leisingen and so forth).
Recounting an engagement near Tiberias between Crusader forces and the infamous Saladin, Stark adds rich texture to "God's Battalions":
"Then, as the sun rose and with the wind at their backs, Saladin's forces set fire to large collections of brush, and the smoke made it difficult for the Christians to keep track of their units," Stark writes. Carnage then ensued, and, "All of the Templars and Hospitallers taken captive were beheaded; the other captives were enslaved."
Stark does such a good job of fleshing out historical detail, it's difficult to name a favorite portion of the book. However, he shows us that truly, history repeats itself endlessly. In Chapter 10 ("Crusaders Against Egypt"), he shows the reader how critical this ancient land was to stability in the Middle East – just as we are learning in painful ways today.
"God's Battalions" is a wonderful historical record, and readers and historians alike should read it with the gusto it deserves, for the lessons contained in it are instructive for our time. Congratulations to Rodney Stark for harnessing history in such spectacular fashion.

NEW There are still as many as 40,000 Americans stranded in Afghanistan waiting to be put on US military evacuation flights but there was no sign of the planes at Kabul Airport on Tuesday despite defense experts and ex CIA directors emphasizing the urgency of getting them out before it's too late. There were no signs of US jets at the airport on Tuesday morning as Indian, French and British cargo jets loaded passengers onto flights to be taken out of the fast-escalating violence in Kabul. Former CIA Director David Patreus said on Tuesday: 'This might be termed I think a Dunkirk moment.
President Joe Biden expressed his desire for an Israeli ceasefire of operations against Hamas, after a growing force of leftist Democrats criticized his support of Israel.
Biden spoke with Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu Monday afternoon, walking back his support for Israel’s aggressive response in Palestine to Hamas rocket attacks. The Israeli military response against Hamas continued for a second week on Monday. MORE
'The army will continue to attack to bring a total, long-term quiet. Only when we reach that goal will we be able to speak about a truce,' Defence Minister Benny Gantz said as the Palestinian death toll rose to 43, including 13 children (pictured: Israeli artillery at the border, main; smoke rises from Gaza this morning, inset; an Israeli oil refinery ablaze, left; an injured Palestinian woman, centre; and the devastation in the Strip, right) . At least 230 Palestinians have been wounded. Gantz issued the fresh warning from the southern town of Ashkelon where two Israeli women were killed by Hamas rockets on Tuesday. Five Israelis have so far been killed by the rocket attacks targeting civilians, including a child in the early hours of this morning. The United Nations has warned the two sides they risk a 'full-scale war' if there is not an urgent ceasefire. 'Stop the fire immediately. We're escalating towards a full-scale war. Leaders on all sides have to take the responsibility of de-escalation,' Tor Wennesland UN Special Envoy to the Middle East tweeted. Israel says the militants have fired more than 1,050 rockets since Monday, with 200 of them falling short and landing inside Gaza, injuring many of their own, while the vast majority of the rest have been shot down by the Iron Dome defence system.
President Trump on Thursday announced what he called a "Historic Peace Agreement" between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, saying they agreed to "full normalization of relations."

The president, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed released a joint statement Thursday, after the three spoke "and agreed to the full normalization of relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates." The statement said that the "diplomatic breakthrough" was at "the request of President Trump," and that Israel will "suspend declaring sovereignty over areas outlined in the President's Vision for Peace and focus its efforts now on expanding ties with other countries in the Arab and Muslim world."
War on Christianity Continues in near total silence from the world
Asia Bibi, falsely accused of blasphemy
A Christian woman who escaped the "near-total enforcement of Shariah" in Islamic Pakistan warns that the Christians who remain face a constant "sword of Damocles."
Asia Bibi, who spent eight years on death row in Pakistan on a false charge of blasphemy, issued the warning in an interview she gave to the Tribune India.
Robert Spencer at Jihad Watch said the "persecution of Asia Bibi was a particularly ugly chapter in the history of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and its enforcement of Shariah blasphemy laws." MORE
And the Next question- WHAT WILL REPLACE IT? King of the SOUTH dictator or Democracy? That's the question.

Another Temple is going to be build. the Bible says so.....
During a speech at the Kohelet Policy Forum on Wednesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, among other things, discussed the importance of Israel’s presence in Judea and Samaria.
Warning about the dangers of Israel’s withdrawal from the region it liberated in the Six-Day-War, Netanyahu stated: “If Israel is not present on the hills of Judea and Samaria, Islamists will take over instead.”
Without skipping a beat, Rabbi Yehuda Glick interrupted him yelling: “same with the Temple Mount!”
At that point, the Prime Minister gave Glick an uncomfortable glare and continued with his speech.
On August 29, 1929, Prince Mohamed Ali Pasha, the uncle and future regent to King Farouk of Egypt, walked into the British Embassy in Istanbul and hand-delivered a letter to British Ambassador Sir George Clerk. The letter was addressed to the British High Commissioner for Palestine, Sir John Chancellor. The prince asked Ambassador Clerk to forward the letter to Chancellor in Jerusalem.
The prince had written and signed the letter less than one week after the shocking August 24, 1929, massacres in Hebron, following months of rising tensions at the Western (Wailing) Wall. The letter began by deploring the violence, with the prince expressing hope the Arabs and Jews could settle their differences peacefully. The prince then offered a stunning suggestion:
My proposal for a solution is that, instead of fighting or dealing unjustly by one party or the other, it would be infinitely better to come to an understanding. The Mohametans may be willing to accept a sum of money which would help them to do good for the community and as the Jews are rich, if this thing [the Wailing Wall] is so much desired by them, there seems no reason why they should not pay for it. If this could be done, it would avoid coercion and possibly injustice to one or other of the parties. Certainly I am sure the Mohametans and Arabs will not accept a small sum such as £10,000 or even £20,000 for a matter in which their honour is so far involved… Let them give £100,000 and I feel sure this would settle the difference.
This is the story of Prince Mohamed Ali Pasha’s surprise proposal to sell the Western Wall to the Jews, revealed here for the first time.

By Bob Barney We have war in Afghanistan, war in Iraq, war is maybe coming to Iran, Israel and Syria. It has been this way since before you were even born. Why? After all, we had war in Europe in 1914 and 1940, but not today. War in Japan in the forties, but not in the past fifty years, so why has every decade seen a problem in the Mid-East? Is it Oil? Is it another reason.
In the late 1940's, the USA was the world's largest oil producer. We did not need oil from the middle east, yet war erupted between the newly formed Israel and its Arab allies. The same thing happened again in the fifties, and the sixties and we still really didn't need the Arab's oil. By 1973 we did need their oil and thus today, everyone without a view on history mistakenly assumes that war in the middle east is about oil. IT IS NOT!
This war has nothing to do with oil, or George Bush or even The United States per say; it has everything to do with religion and about God and God's role in world events. This article can be read anytime in the future and there will still be strife in the middle east. The strife ends, according to the Bible ONLY after Christ returns and not a day before. We realize that we claim to be a news site, and we are, but if there is a God, and it is the God of the Bible and if Jesus Christ is that God of the Bible, then what he has to say is news, is it not?
Voting for a Republican or a Democrat or a even Libertarian will not change a thing concerning the middle east. Getting off of oil will not change the tension between Arab nations and America or Israel. It is time that the "average Joe or Jane" understands what is going to happen in their lifetime. The staff of The Plain Truth realize that it is hard to believe, but one can understand in broad terms what is going to happen and what is not going to happen in the future. Hopefully by reading this, you have decided to at least be informed and make intellectual choices for once. You will not get propaganda here. In fact, we will teach you how to recognize propaganda! It is easy to spot.

The Defense Department is sending six B-52 bomber aircraft (like the ones seen in the top right image) to the Diego Garcia military base (bottom right) in the northern Indian Ocean as preparations for possible military action against Iran move forward. Diego Garcia, which is located about 1,000 miles off the southern tip of India, is more than 3,000 miles from Iran. The Pentagon says the base was chosen as the site where the aircraft will be deployed because it is out of range of Iranian missiles.
Our series, "the Bible as History," is our effort to educate the masses that unlike what they have been taught, GOD'S BIBLE is accurate! It's accuracy has been proven time and time again! Yet another example:
Evidence of religious practices dating back to the early days of King David and the Kingdom of Judah have been discovered at excavations run by the Israel Antiquities Authority in Tel Motza, west of Jerusalem.
According to the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the finds -- which include 2,750-year-old pottery figurines of men and horses -- provide rare evidence of a ritual cult at the beginning of the period of the monarchy.

In recent weeks, Iran analysts have been trying to figure out why key leaders of the Islamic Republic are publicly trading insults and accusations of corruption.
Especially noteworthy is the ongoing battle between Ayatollah Yazdi and Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli-Larijani, two former Chief Justices and two of the six top ayatollahs on the Supreme Leader’s Guardian Council, who have presented persuasive evidence of one another’s corruption in these public disputes.

RAMAT GAN, Israel—Mayor Carmel Shama-Hacohen’s desk is strewn with evidence of the threats against his life over his campaign to introduce public bus service on the Sabbath—an effort that put him on one side of a broader dispute that some call a battle for the soul of Israel.
Service begins next weekend between this leafy suburban city of 156,000 and the beach in Tel Aviv, after the Ramat Gan city council approved the plan on Tuesday, despite opposition from Israelis who say service on Friday evening and Saturday flouts the Bible-ordained day of rest.
